This joke level is the 8679309th level of the Backrooms (Jokerooms, kinda)
Contents
Description:
You are standing in a concert. It is empty, You are the only one in the audience.
There is no one but you and the band on the stage.
It appears that the band Tommy Tutone is on it. (The level's name makes sense now, don't it?)
You hear the song in which the level name is associated.
You wander aimlessly in the enclosed gap.
The song comes stops and you realize many things.
You realize the stage was an illusion.
You realized the enclosed space was an illusion.
You realized that everything around you was an illusion.
you don't remember blacking out, but you must have at some point because you definitely remember waking up.
You regain consciousness to find yourself sitting on a chair in a semi-dark room with a single window. The window is the only source of light and opening to the outside of the room on this level which is nothing but a white void. In addition to this, there are two doors on either side of the room and a computer monitor connected to a Windows 10 Computer (PC Tower) that is hidden in the wall. After booting up the computer it displays two options, "left door" and "right door". It appears to be referring to the two physical doors that are connected to the room, which you must make a choice between. The left door is labeled "RETURN TO ILLUSION" and entering will cause you to repeat the events that happened, from the concert to you waking to find yourself in the room. This will continue to repeat as long as you continue to choose the left door. No side effects of the loop have been recorded to date . The right door is labeled "RETURN TO LEVEL". This is deceptive as it doesn't actually return you to the level you noclipped from.
If you click on either, you are taken to a screen describing the function of your chosen door. The left door's description only states that its name is "self explanatory". The description of the right door is more helpful. In it's logs, it has a 94% chance of getting you to a random level, and a 5% chance of getting you to The Manila Room, and a 1% chance of returning you to the The Frontrooms, AKA Reality. after you click on the description, the respective door will open. nothing can be seen of what lays on the other side, only the white void is visible.
I neglected to mention the presence of another entity in the room. This entity is usually recorded sitting in a chair near the one you first regained consciousness in, though rarely he is seen in other locations around the room. According to survivors that passed through this level, he is usually always seated in a chair. He is often referred to as "Jeff" and he is a very passive entity. He is documented as being impervious to any sort of harm and capable of giving you very useful information on the backrooms and Frontrooms alike. He usually is initially hesitant to engage with you but can be enticed into speech using almond water. It is unclear what he does with this substance as he does not appear to drink it.
Escape through the window is extremely difficult due to the durability of the glass. No object so far has been able to break the glass. It is possible to persuade Jeff to break the glass for you as Jeff is the only recorded entity capable of this, provided you give him an abundance of almond water. Under no circumstances is it recommended that you convince Jeff to break the glass, you will let the void in. You don't want to let the void in.
Outposts/Colonies:
Due to the nature of this level, (One room and an illusion) no colonies are set up. occasionally, you may encounter a fellow traveler but these cases are rare.
Entities:
Jeff is the only known entity in level 8679309 as the band was an illusion. The band members are living (or deceased) in the Frontrooms.
Other instances of this level have band members are often reported as being look-alikes to popular bands from the front rooms. The identity of the band members varies depending on the traveler. It is suggested that the traveler might be more likely to see a band that they are familiar with, and may play a song that is popular from their band, if it is a one-man-band, then they just have themselves.
Jeff can be seen in rare occasions in other locations throughout the backrooms. It is rare that he interacts with survivors, but is usually passive.
Entrances:
Doing the (altered) Konami code (jump x2, crouch x2, strafe left, then strafe right, strafe left, then strafe right.) while singing the chorus/main part of the song that this level is based on inside of level Level.. What was it Again?
Find or have a device capable of playing audio and play this song (ensure that you play the chorus/main part, and it is encouraged that you sing along to avoid noclipping into the floor.) to enter. You can enter using this method in ANY level, even class 5 levels, undetermined levels, basically any type. Examples include Level !, Level 0, Level 9223372036854775807, The End, and Level Fun. You can even do this in this level, but it only teleports you into that same seat you regained consciousness in.
Real exits:
The only exit is to exit through the right door.
Additional "Easter egg" exits:
There is a rare chance that after you boot up the computer there will be a third button. clicking on this button will bring up a pop up window displaying this text, "You found the secret. Do the second altered Konami to carry on, click twice to go back." If you do what the first option says, doing another altered Konami code (arrow up x2, arrow down x2, arrow left, arrow right, arrow left, arrow right, letter B key, letter A key, Enter key.) to wake up in your bed in the Frontrooms (reality).
On the same menu, there is a search bar where you have to input this: (there is a menu for special characters, like how I, the creator of this page, used to make it.) and doing so can 50/50 send you to the Frontrooms or another random Joke level.
Singing the halo theme with or without the aforementioned music player sends you either to a random Joke level (25%), Frontrooms (50%), or a random level (25%).
