Description
Level 879 is a mountainous plains area resembling Montana. It is over 1000 miles in land area (Around 1069 in kilometers), and has a normal day and night cycle. It is also theorized to be a small planet, due to the level size and the linked levels with similar Earth-like climates.

Lakes are common, but instead of normal water, these lakes contain a thick, semi-solid material that has been confirmed to be edible. Level 879 has a habitable climate, and abundant resources. There are also aggressive groups, but most of what makes this level dangerous are the entities that appear at night.
Entities
Puffballs have been found in this level, but there are many more dangerous entities.
Kynigós
The most common entities at nighttime are kynigoí, pale white humanoid creatures with wings. They are made of a resilient chalk-like substance, along with a colored sphere in the middle of their torso which keeps them alive. The easiest way they can be killed is by destroying the sphere, or waiting until day, when they disintegrate into a highly valued material, which looks similar to ashes. It is unknown how they formed.
Variations of kynigoí
- Walker
Walkers are the most common variation of kynigoí. The walk incredibly slowly and appear only during the night. However, they can be incredibly dangerous in large groups.
Tristezite
Tristezite is a blue crystalline material found in the mines in this level. It has severe negative effects when physical contact is made, however, puffballs are not affected. All of these effects are negated when in its liquid or gas form. When in the presence of the Invidae, the crystals will permanently turn a bright green.
Effects of tristezite
- 1 Hour: Affected person will feel a sense of dread.
- 5 Hours: Affected person will feel guilty.
- 8 Hours: Affected person will start crying.
- 10 Hours: Affected person's heart will burst, killing them. There is a 70% chance of the affected person's hair to permanently turn a dark blue color instead.
Effects on puffballs
- 1 Hour: Affected puffball will turn a dark blue color.
- 8 Hours: Affected puffball will stop moving entirely.
- 10 Hours: Affected puffball will go back to normal, the only noticeable difference being light blue or white markings leading from their eyes to their feet.
Colonies, Outposts, & Groups
The Painters
Not to be confused with a group of the same name in Level 2007.2
The Painters were a cult residing in Level 879 who worship an unknown person. There is no information documenting the aforementioned person. It is likely that they were either delusional, and this person does not exist, or the way this person was viewed by the Painters is overly exaggerated. The former is recommended. Each and every one of their members carried a kind of rifle, and a pistol. If someone did not wear one of their uniforms (Black and purple fatigues), they would attack that person on sight. If they captured a person instead of killing them, they wwould carve words onto the person's back. Despite their name, they rarely painted.
