"Atlantis"

Description
Level 88 consists of an extremely large dining restaurant which loops around an enormous aquarium filled with countless sea creatures from the Frontrooms. The entire facility has a radius of 1 kilometer and is filled with round tables which can fit up to 2 guests, and rectangular tables which can fit 4 guests. Inside the aquarium, many abandoned structures reassembling the popular lost city of Atlantis serve as decoration and decoration only, but due to the water's medium turbidity, these structures may be hard to see.
Level 88 has a strong Wi-Fi signal throughout all the dry parts of the level, which can be accessed without a password for a period of 4 hours. The restaurant in fact works: it serves high-quality seafood dishes, which makes it a popular attraction for couples and tourist families in the Backrooms.
The glass wall that separates the restaurant from the aquarium has a particularly strange property: it can be easily broken. However, due to undetermined reasons, the water may not and will never enter nor flood the diner area. This strange property allows for wanderers to enter the aquarium at their own risk, while not harming or putting the lives of those in the restaurant in danger.
While inside the tank, wanderers will be able to breathe underwater just like regular fish. It is not recommended that unprepared wanderers to break nor enter the tank, as potentially harmful sea creatures may cause serious injuries including death. Swimming too far into the center of the tank is also not recommended. The walls will repair themselves after 8 minutes by unknown means.
The glass seems to be unbreakable from the inside of the tank, meaning that if a wanderer ever gets stuck inside the tank they will either have to wait until someone else breaks the glass from the inside or swim towards the top of the level.
Colonies and Outposts
There are no publicly documented colonies or outposts at this level.Welcome, Gary!
M.E.G. Base Atlantis
- Population of around 500 M.E.G. personnel.
- Secret radio monitoring and communication base.
- Top secret shape-shifting device test location.
M.E.G. Shape-shifting Device
The M.E.G. Shape-shifting Device, or "MSD" for short, is a tool developed by M.E.G. researchers which is capable of shape-shifting human wanderers into other entities. In Level 88, the MSD is tested by shape-shifting M.E.G. personnel into animals such as stingrays, fish, sharks and whales, and having them roam around the tank near the edges to see if regular wanderers can identify fake animals from real ones. This device is also used on M.E.G. security guards, who while shape-shifted into sharks and other potentially hostile sea animals, attack wanderers who have trespassed their way into the aquarium and gotten too close to the M.E.G. Base Atlantis. The importance of this base to M.E.G.'s high command is too high to allow potential security breaches, which is where the MSD comes into use.
Archived Log: Log 24
This is an archived log which describes the 4th controlled test of the M.E.G. Shape-shifting Device(MSD).
<Commence>
Test Officer: Log 24, initiating recording. Today we will be testing the Major Explorer Group Shape-shifting mountable device.
Tester: I have the device attached to my arm, am I cleared to exit the Atlantis facility?
Test Officer: Hold position, we are checking your surroundings.
Tester: Roger.
<48 seconds later>
Test Officer: All cleared, initiate test protocol.
Tester: Ok, I am supposed to first uh...
Test Officer: We will activate the MSD, which will hopefully turn you into stingray.
Tester: What do you mean hopefully?
Test Officer: Please repor-
Tester: Is this the first time we are testing this on humans?
Test Officer: Please refrain from interrupting me.
Tester: I am sorry.
Test Officer: Activating the MSD, please report as soon as the procedure is over, shouldn't take long.
<Loud static noise is recorded for about 3 seconds>
Test Officer: Hello? Radio check please.
Tester: 5/5.
Test Officer: Please describe what is going on.
Tester: Wow this feels really weird.
Test Officer: You turned into a stingray, correct?
Tester: I guess I did.
Test Officer: How do you feel.
Tester: I can still feel my legs and body, but they just aren't there. It is very hard to swim like this.
Test Officer: Wonderful, report back to base.
Tester: I mean, I'll try.
<5 and a half minutes of silence elapse>
Tester: You guys will turn me back into a human right?
Test Officer: Maintain radio silence until further notice.
<12 minutes of silence elapse>

Entities
Waiters
Waiters are regular facelings that can be found all around the restaurant. These entities will take orders from guests who are sitting down and bring them food and drinks prepared by the cooks. All waiters are adults, and they all wear tuxedo suits. After all the guests have eaten, a waiter will bring them a paper bill that contains all the items consumed by them. After paying/trading with the waiters, one may safely exit Level 88.
Cooks
Cooks are also facelings, however they can hardly ever be seen, as most of the time they are located at the kitchens, behind the restaurant opaque walls. These entities are responsible for preparing all the foods and drinks ordered by guests. Small holes located at the wall serve as windows where cooks can hand waiters food to be delivered to the tables. If one peeks through these holes, they may see a cook. Kitchen doors can only be accessed by cooks, meaning that wanderers are unable to enter the kitchens.
