Description:

Level 883 is what appears to be a parking lot that was completely abandoned. All that was left of Level 883 is a bunch of pillars, each being 4.5m in height. Puddles of blood, Almond Water, mercury, and Cashew Water can occasionally be seen on the floor, sometimes interconnecting to one another forming a river. The lighting in this level is stuck in a day/night cycle, with each full cycle being completely randomized. The longest daytime was ever around was about 17 hours. The longest nighttime lasted for was around 28 hours. Entities that spawn during the night will usually stay even if daytime rolls around. This number of entities will be reset if someone new enters the level.

Entities that can spawn contain the following: Smilers, Skin-Stealers, The Shadows of The Past, Death Moths, Death Rats, Facelings, Insanities, Frowners, Televisions, and Mountain Pianos. Only two of these make up the majority of the entity population within Level 883, the rest just being there to serve as a distraction. The Smilers are the most common entity to spawn within Level 883. If smilers are spotted by wanderers, they will begin walking in the direction of the wanderer, stalking them down. If smilers reach a piece of terrain, they will stop moving, and wait for another wanderer to pass by. The Smilers in this level no longer contain any aggressive behaviors for reasons unexplained. Death Moths are the second most common. Death Moths have strange behaviors that can't be observed in other levels of the Backrooms. The females seem to be more docile then before, and only attack if ever provoked. The males on the other hand are extremely aggressive, and will attack anything, and everything they see, including their own kind.

This seems to be the only photo of Level 883. Photographer presumed dead.

Adult Facelings within Level 883 will appear aggressive, and will spawn with various weapons in their hands likes knifes, cleavers, chainsaws, and on rare occasions, firearms. Once a Faceling senses any form of life around them, they will begin to chase it down. Once they have caught up to whatever they saw, they will slowly torture the target with whatever they have. Once blood starts spilling out, they will cut/shoot the targets legs and leave them to die. Child Facelings are non hostile unless provoked. Frowners, The Shadows of The Past, Televisions, Skin Stealers, and Death Rats are very aggressive in nature, and is best to avoid them at all cost. The only two entities that keep their original behaviors are Insanities and Mountain Pianos. The reasoning for this is unclear.

Almond Water and Cashew Water seem to have the complete opposite effects they would normally have. Almond Water, upon consumption, will drain ones sanity instead of restore it. The same is true for Cashew Water. The blood and mercury found on the floor is safe for consumption, and are used for crafting various utility items such as blood bombs. The current process for creating a Blood Bomb is undocumented. Unfortunately, the level can not be colonized. The reason to why this is the case is because people have a chance to suddenly disappear if traveling with a partner.

Colonies and Outposts:

There are no colonies or outposts on this level.

Entrances and Exits:

Entrances:

  • There is an extremely small chance that going through the Level 1 exit on Level 0 will bring you here.
  • Going into any entrance that leads to Level 22 has a slim chance to bring you here.

Exits:

  • The only known way to exit is to listen for a hum buzz. Doing this will bring you back to Level 0.]]
