Level 89 is the 90th level of the Backrooms. It was first discovered by u/snesaddict

Survival Difficulty: Class 1

Minimal Entity Count

Description

Level 89 has an almost dreamy, cartoonish feeling and look. The colors are pastel and bland. If you listen closely, you might be able to hear static noise. The level consists of a long, infinite road and a daycare on the side of that road. The road stretches on for 60 million miles, going in only one direction. You will need to walk at least 4 miles (6.44 km) to get to the daycare from spawn.

The Maze

The daycare itself looks like a hotel, sort-of, with a pavilion over part of the road. The building on the outside has colorful walls, lots of glass that reflects the sun so much you cannot see inside. However, the inside is an infinite maze of repeating rooms, some being identical to others. These rooms have foam children’s play mats on the floor, white walls with simple childish drawings, vents around the floor, and windows that show a cartoonish sky outside. Some larger rooms will have foldable tables with colorful small chairs around them and balloons. It has been reported that these balloons will sometimes have words saying things like “This is it” or “The end”. Another larger room and the last one to be confirmed to exist is a room with a wall-mounted table across the wall with CRT TVs on top of each other, and two chairs in front. Very similarly to the balloons in the previous room. If one of the televisions is powered on, the TV will show a lens flare on top of a cartoonish sky, with red words saying “The end” and power off after a few seconds.

Three rooms are confirmed to exist in this level. However, many more could exist and simply have not been documented. The maze of rooms will stretch on for miles, and once entered you cannot return outside, you will need to find another means to escape. In this level your mind will try to make you think you are a child, therefore making you not pay attention to your surroundings most of the time. Your best bet is to bring lots of almond water, as it will help you stay sane.

Rumour has it that many more rooms with piping and wiring exist, and they are said to be what powers the whole level. Some proof of those levels has been found, as an image surfaced of a corridor of pipes said to belong to Level 89. However, it isn't certain where the photo was taken and no one has claimed to be the original taker.

Entities

Partygoers are the only documented entities in this level.

Colonies and Outposts

There is only one currently documented colony in Level 89.

Children of Wanderers

The colony is a cult of people called “the children of wanderers” who have gone insane and think they are children. They all wear footed pajamas and wear pacifiers. They worship anyone whom they find, however they tell you not to drink almond water as it keeps you sane. If you eventually listen to them, you will become like them.

Entrances and Exits

Entrances

Jumping out of the window in Level 339 has a 1% chance of landing on the road here instead of Level 94.

The only other confirmed entrance is no clipping through the houses of Level 289. You can no clip off of any, you’ll go to the same place no matter what.

Exits

The only guaranteed exit is to walk to the road. The only infinite part of this level is the rooms in the daycare. The road as previously mentioned is 60 million miles long, 30 million in each direction. The only confirmed way to escape is to never enter the daycare and walk. Rumour has it that a car will appear every 26 hours, and it will drive slow enough for you to hop in. It will drive you all the way to the end, however this has not been confirmed yet. If you travel, you'll end up at the exit. As it turns out the whole room is actually in a giant skybox, and the exit is an industrial looking door that in the middle of the walls of the sky.

A potential exit is no-clipping inside the daycare, however it is unknown where you may end up.
