Description

An image of Level 9.3's outside fog. Photographer dead after.

Level 9.3 is a seemingly endless expanse of old apartment buildings that vary in size, with different types of trees every block or so, such as palm trees, pine trees, etc. Most apartments look the same. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms with a kitchen and a living room. Some apartments have entities in them, but the types of entities that live here are undocumented. Most entities here are undiscovered.

The level is shrouded in a constant fog, making it impossible to see far out into the distance, and it is mostly night, with small amounts of daylight. Each apartment has working power that randomly shuts on and off. The supplies in each apartment vary, but usually there is only one certain thing throughout the house, such as almond water, sanity pills, or cans of food. If it weren’t for the effects of this level, it would be easily sustainable.

Some apartments are covered in black grime.  These are called “infected apartments.” Usually infected apartments are also destroyed, with the carpet ripped up, TVs smashed, tables knocked over and splintered, etc. These apartments have terrifying entities known as Apartment Crawlers, who are the cause of the black grime. These are the most common entities to discover, but they are still quite rare.

The number one reason that Level 9.3 is so undocumented is due to the “black grime disease.” If you are in Level 9.3 for too long (approx. 10 minutes), it will start feeling like something is tickling your spine up to the back of your neck. Then, you will start feeling a sort of pain in your skull and temples. If you are to exit the level during that time, you will feel fine after a couple minutes due to what is assumed the black grime not being connected to its “host Apartment Crawler”  any more. But, if you stay after feeling the pain in your skull, it is possible that you will be lost forever. We have no clue what happened to the people who have disappeared in Level 9.3, but we assume they become either an Apartment Crawler or what is known as an Apartment Dweller, though that is unconfirmed

Entities

Many entities that are in Level 9.3 have been undocumented, but there are a few that have been spotted, such as

Apartment Crawlers, Apartment Dwellers, Smilers, and possible Skin Stealers, though not many people have seen them.

Colonies and Outposts

None/Unknown

It is currently impossible to stay longer than 10 minutes in Level 9.3 even with gas masks and other equipment.

Entrances and Exits

The Exit door saying to "CAUTION OPEN SLOWLY."

Entrances

  • Doors marked with the sign “BIOHAZARD” or any other similar signs in a Level 9 house’s basement will lead here.
  • Random run down apartments can be found in Level 10, and when entered transport you to here.

Exits

  • Finding a stairwell in any apartment and climbing to the bottom will lead you to a door marked “CAUTION OPEN SLOWLY.” To exit the level, simply open the door very slowly, and you will find yourself in a random Level 9 basement. Do be cautious though, as opening the door too fast will lead to death by Apartment Dwellers. They will drag you into the door, and you will never be seen again.
  • Entering an infected apartment and walking into a room with no furniture, when leaving the room, you will wake up in Level -9.3,
  • Very little amounts of cars can be found, but entering one of them will make you wake up in Level 69.
