Level 9.9 is one of the levels in-between Level 9 and Level 10.

Description

Level 9.9 is Similar to its parent level, level 9. It looks similar to a modern suburb road with with potholes in the road, trees in spots of the side-walk, and lamp post lining the street, though, just like level 9, they seem to not be operational. There are cars parked on the side of the road, most of said cars will be SUVs which trunks can be opened to which they might possibly contain Almond Water, food, and clothing. It is heavily unadvised to enter the backseats or front seats by climbing through the open spots from the back of the SUV's trunk, as this will result in a Grass stalker cornering you inside to kill you.

Artist depiction of a grass path found behind a house.

its also heavily unadvised to go near ANY cars that already appear to have their trunks open, as that is the Grass stalkers main way of killing wanderers.

Digital cameras seem to act up in this level, as any picture taken with a mobile device becomes distorted after the picture is taken, its recommended to make a drawing if possible.

Some of the differences are that there seems to be a light fog that covers the level, though it is not always apparent. This feature plus the darkness of midnight can cause wanderers to get easily lost, the level shows no signs of any rain ever being in the level, as the ground is dry and there are no puddles to be seen anywhere. One of the other differences is that upon entering the level, one will show up in the middle road, it is unsafe outside so getting inside a house would be the best option.

A wanderer recently discovered a certain house that looked fairly normal but upon entering the backyard, found a grass path leading into bushes, said wanderer made a drawing depicting the path, we still do not yet know where this path leads, but it probably isn't any good.

One of the major differences of this level is the levels glitches and errors involving the houses throughout the level.

Errors

The errors of the houses include, but are not limited to:

Inside:

  • Furniture clipped into interior walls
  • Odd temperatures inside houses
  • Rooms being made of odd materials
  • Objects being in rooms they don't belong in
  • Carpeting on walls or ceiling

Outside:

  • Furniture clipped into exterior walls
  • No roof
  • No second floor
  • No basements
  • Exterior walls being made of odd materials ( most notable: flesh)

Other:

  • Houses clipped into each other
  • No front lawns
  • No backyards

A list of materials that appear to have been used in and on the houses will be provided at the end of the Article.

The other major difference in this level is that the level isn't infinite and is quite easy to escape, it has been noted that we do not yet know what happens if you go through the backyards of the house and jump over the fences. Following the road for 50 miles will lead to the curb of the road lining the edge of what looks a like a cliff into a dark abyss, on the curb there will be a sign saying "ROAD CLOSED". From here on out, one would have to walk all the way back to the other end of the road to which at the end of the road will be a light blue door that is attached to nothing.

Entering the door will send you to The Hub.

Entities

this level contains Smilers, Skin-Stealers, hounds, and a level exclusive entity called Grass Stalkers. There was a rumor that an Insanity was spotted within the level, but it is unknown if its true.

Colonies and Outposts

Due to the nature of this level, it could be hard to establish a colony or outpost here, but there are plans for a future outpost to made in this level by the M.E.G. a report was made of a sighting of a small group of wanderers in the level, but there is no evidence.

Exits:

  • Touching a piece of furniture clipped into an exterior wall will send you to Level 8
  • Touching a piece of furniture clipped into an interior wall will send you to Level 10

List of Materials

research is still being conducted on different materials, expect the list to expand.

Research Conclusions

After non-stop research from our group of scientists, they have came to the conclusion that the bones and flesh in/on the level's houses is mostly the flesh of wanderers, though not all of the tested flesh led to this conclusion.

it is presumed that wanderers who died to the Grass-stalkers have been turned into the flesh and bones used on the houses, though its unknown how this happens.
