Do you miss the waterslides?
Description[]

Level 969, also known as Sunkenland, resembles a waterpark resting on the ocean floor, with a sunny morning visible above it, as if the park itself sank to the bottom. The murky fog present in this level may trick wanderers into believing that something is moving in the distance. The ceiling height within the buildings cannot be determined due to the deep, ocean-like atmosphere that envelops those who enter the level.
The floor of the waterpark consists mostly of knee-deep pools, with some platforms outlined by yellow anti-slip surfaces. Artificial rock formations appear throughout the park, mimicking tall ravines or small hills.
Level 969 has no connections to any other pool levels, as it shares no similar characteristics with them. A minimal amount of orange tiles can be found in a few structures, while most floors and walls are composed of bright blue, orange, or yellow smooth concrete surfaces.
Small stores, restaurants, and kiosks are scattered throughout the interior of the waterpark complex, though they are devoid of any useful supplies. Their interiors also lack sources of light and are instead illuminated by the ambient glow of the ocean-floor atmosphere. The furniture and decorations within these areas are immovable, made of solid concrete, and painted in the same color palette commonly seen throughout Level 969, appearing to be built directly into the park’s infrastructure.
The waterpark complex’s waterslides are unusual. Despite their unrealistic and seemingly violent bends and turns, individuals who enter them slide smoothly and gracefully, as though the slides were perfectly shaped to accommodate them. There has never been an injury caused by the waterslides’ sharp turns; however, traveling through these structures produces high volumes of noise and may attract the attention of the entity that stalks the area.
Prolonged stays within the waterpark may induce a strong sense of discomfort, forgetfulness, anguish, and, most notably, distress due to the park’s oppressive ambience and atmosphere.
BOIM-969[]

There is only one entity in the level. It is designated BOIM-969, named after M.E.G. researcher Davi Boim (Dah-VEE Boin(g)), the first human who documented Sunkenland.
BOIM-969 is the exclusive entity of Level 969. It is presumably over seven feet tall and has pitch-black skin, ring-like glowing white pupils, and, most notably, moose antlers. When BOIM-969 opens its mouth, hundreds of razor-sharp teeth are revealed.
This entity possesses the unusual ability to always know the general location of the nearest wanderer. When BOIM-969 selects its prey, it begins slowly walking in their direction and deliberately makes its presence known by dropping objects onto the floor, making squeaking noises in wet areas, pushing wheeled objects, or inducing the sensation of being watched.
Once BOIM-969 is within the general vicinity of a wanderer, it will begin actively searching for them while gradually filling the wanderer’s lungs with water. The only way to stop this effect is to move several dozen meters away from BOIM-969 while breaking line of sight. Making excessive noise will alert the entity and cause it to rush toward the wanderer. Rather than immediately pursuing them, BOIM-969 will instead stare the wanderer down, which can provide a brief head start. If the wanderer fails to flee during this moment, BOIM-969 will charge at them and tear off their arms and legs, causing the victim to bleed to death.
Once the wanderer is out of BOIM-969’s reach, the entity will remain idle for a variable period before resuming its hunt for the nearest wanderer.
The Interior[]
The Bridge[]

The Bridge is the main hub of the waterpark complex, featuring multiple brightly painted bridges stretching toward different areas. These walkways float and lack any form of structural support. Most of the time, they act as waterslides, twisting and turning in the same manner as the waterslides found throughout the level. Some of them also have running water flowing across their surfaces, making traversal difficult.
The Bridge is coated in extremely wet and slippery rock formations, so certain areas contain standard staircases carved directly into the stone. The layout of the location is shaped by tall yellow concrete walls.
There is only one large drain in The Bridge, and all water within the area flows toward The Peak. The drain is unbreakable, and wanderers are unable to use it as a shortcut. Tables and chairs can be found on the higher floors of The Bridge near service counters, with all furnishings constructed from brightly colored concrete.
The Peak[]

The Peak functions as the primary exit of Sunkenland, as it is considered the safest of the five known exits. The area consists of an extensive labyrinth of knee-level rivers bordered by tall rock formations that act as natural walls. Water continuously flows into The Peak from The Bridge, supplemented by waterfalls of varying sizes descending from the surrounding rock faces.
The most prominent feature within The Peak is a tall central structure encircled by waterslides. This structure appears taller than any other rock formation within the complex. An arched doorway is present at its base, leading to an interior staircase constructed from dry, yellow-colored concrete. The interior space exhibits non-Euclidean properties; beyond the staircase lies a vast, heavenly white void that is significantly larger than the structure’s exterior dimensions.
The Peak can only be accessed via The River. Upon entry, all rivers within the area are observed flowing rapidly toward the central structure, ending in a waterfall located behind it. Jumping into this waterfall may result in transportation to The Flush. The Flush[]

The Flush is an expansive system of interconnected sewer tunnels into which all water from Sunkenland ultimately drains. Despite its nature as a sewer system, the tunnels contain only clean, chlorinated water originating from the pools above. Occasional beams of sunlight penetrate the area through unreachable openings in the walls and ceilings. The layout has some resemblance to Level 37's.
The sewer tunnels of the waterpark complex feature white, stone-textured tiles along the walls and sharp concrete flooring, giving the environment a distinct brutalist aesthetic. Some corridors contain shallow streams running through the middle, bordered by narrow sidewalks on either side. Other passages lack sidewalks entirely and are instead filled with fast-moving water that covers the entire floor, closely resembling oversized waterslides. On a larger scale, certain sections include massive drops, abrupt turns, and tall bumps similar to waterslides found in the Frontrooms.
Throughout the tunnels, wanderers may occasionally encounter unstable concrete staircases that partially lead toward the surface. The only way to return to the waterpark complex is by climbing upward, as entry into The Flush occurs exclusively through falls into drains or via the waterfall located at The Peak.
The Flush is considered one of the most dangerous areas in Level 969, as the environment is almost entirely devoid of sound. The only noise typically present is that of a wanderer’s footsteps, which may accelerate the wretched cycle for some and risk alerting BOIM-969.
The Exterior[]
The exterior of Level 969 follows the same day–night cycle as that of the Frontrooms. However, it notably lacks any visible celestial bodies. Nighttime consists of a pitch-black sky illuminated only by artificial lighting, while daytime is lit by an unseen sun that casts light over the shoreline beneath persistent fog.
Light, calming rain frequently falls on wanderers exploring the exterior area.
The Outdoor[]

The Outdoor consists of multiple small waterparks scattered throughout the fenced limit of Sunkenland. These areas feature a much more realistic and logically structured layout and are the closest locations to the main complex, while simultaneously being the farthest from the beach.
Within the fences of these smaller waterparks, wanderers tend to feel safer and more careless, as BOIM-989 often avoids these structures. This behavior is presumably due to the surrounding fences breaking the line of sight into the interior of the parks, resulting in BOIM-989 rarely entering the premises.
The decorations and furniture found within these waterparks follow the laws of physics like any other part of the level and are generally realistic, including standard tables, chairs, and similar objects.
Surrounding the waterparks are interconnected asphalt roads that guide wanderers using signs pointing toward the various locations within Level 969. Resources can also be found in these areas, primarily consisting of clothing, equipment, and soggy snacks left near tables.
The Beachside[]

Cafes, restaurants, hotels, and similar structures can be found throughout the Beachside and are the area with the greatest concentration of resources within the level. Food items found in these locations spoil far more slowly than one might expect.
The exteriors of these buildings are typically constructed from brick, featuring a variety of designs. Their interiors, however, display a wide range of architectural styles, spanning from the 1940s to the 2010s.
When most wanderers cannot locate an exit within the first few days, they often take shelter in this area and establish temporary camps.
The Beach[]

The Beach marks the outer edge of Sunkenland and is the farthest area from the waterpark complex, remaining entirely devoid of life. The quiet ocean steadily washes against the sand, while inflatable structures rock gently in the wind. This location is recommended as a hiding place from BOIM-969; however, remaining here for a prolonged period of time may be detrimental to an individual’s mental health.
It is important to note that the unfamiliar atmosphere lingering over the beach can induce negative existential sensations in those present. Popsicles found within sellers’ carts scattered along the shoreline may help wanderers temporarily suppress these effects, though such items are scarce. The Lots[]

The Lots consists of vast, empty surface parking areas stretching to the fenced limit of Sunkenland. The area is scattered with small gardens and streetlights, whose cold illumination casts a pervasive sense of melancholy over any wanderers below.
The Lots is considered the most dangerous area within Level 969 due to its significantly lower temperatures compared to other locations in the level. During rainfall, conditions worsen considerably, as rain falls violently enough to cause physical harm. Due to the absence of walls or substantial obstacles, wanderers traversing The Lots can be easily detected by BOIM-969 from a long distance.
Escape through The Lots exit is not recommended.
The River[]

The River is a maze of interconnected segments forming an extensive lazy river system. As one travels deeper into The River, the tunnels may expand into larger chambers, including splash zones, hot tubs, waterslides, and, on occasion, ballrooms containing small playgrounds. Frosted windows and pool ladders fitted with doors are present throughout the area; however, it is impossible to determine what lies beyond them, as they cannot be opened or broken.
The River can only be accessed through a large doorway adorned with carvings resembling Greek motifs, with water continuously cascading down the steps leading into it. The Peak may be reached via a replica of this same doorway located within The River itself. If a wanderer ignores the entrance to The Peak, they will eventually loop back to one of the many exits of The River.
The Fenced Limit[]
The Fenced Limit marks the outer boundary of the level. While no one knows what lies behind the wall that encircles Sunkenland, individuals who have presumably reached The Fenced Limit report seeing trees beyond the barrier. Indescribable sounds can also be heard emanating from behind the wall.
In addition, an unknown force physically prevents anyone from reaching the top of the structure, making it impossible to climb over and exit the level.
Colonies and Outposts[]
The imminent danger of this level makes it impossible to establish any permanent outposts within Level 969, though many wanderers still meet and rest in The Beachside.
Entrances[]

- Entering a set of sliding glass doors in the Blue Horizon may unluckily lead one here.
- Finding an out-of-place eight-sided hot tub in any level, and jumping into it will harshly transport one into the waters of The Park.
- Finding a hole in the aquarium's glass with a tiled frame in Level 88, and jumping into it will take one to the bottom of a pool in The Outdoor.
- Having a rating of -81 to -100 karma in Level 995 has a chance to lead one here.
Exits[]

- Though its only recommended to do at the last resort, noclipping in The Flush will lead one to Level 2.
- Reaching The Peak and climbing up the yellow staircase will lead one to the last aquatic level they've been before this one. If the wanderer has never been to an aquatic level before, they will get transported to Level 330.
- Presumedly, if someone goes deep into The Lots they and finds a parked SUV, then starting it will teleport the car and the wanderers inside The Hub.
- Going through the same doorway with unknown carvings, the entrance of The River has a tiny chance to lead one to Level 330 again.
- Letting the ocean from The Beach consume the wanderer might take them to Level 100.
