Description

Level Dark resembles a 10km x 2km room, constructed out of what appears to be made of concrete, rebar, and metal. The massive room is lit by a series of dangling fluorescent lightbulbs scattered around the room that transition from on and off at seemingly random intervals, with the only sign of imminent deactivation being a sudden flickering followed by darkness. A set of stairs extending into the sky can be observed in the middle of the level, though, the lights in the vicinity of the stairs are noticeably dimmer than others and are rarely active. Wanderers are advised to always remain in the light while traversing this level, as exiting the light makes one vulnerable to what lies in the dark, a supposed swarm of entities.

Personal handheld light sources such as flashlights are advised in Level Dark as while the entrance to the level is relatively safe, with numerous light sources holding back what lies in the dark, lights become far and few as one ventures out of the entrance zone, making exploration in the region increasingly more dangerous, as what lies beyond feasts on those shrouded in darkness. It has been observed that there is a higher likelihood of device malfunction in Level Dark, believed to be one of Level Dark's many properties.

This was the only image taken of Level Dark.

If a person falls, trips, or walks into the darkness, they will either be swarmed by entities, or dragged by The Drowned One.

This level has a variable range in survivability. While the entrance to the level is relatively safe, points radiating out from the entrance become increasingly more dangerous & hostile as one moves out from it, making exploration difficult.

Survival

In order to survive for one to survive, it is best to have good luck and strength, or else it will be hard It is suggested by M.E.G. to bring a flashlight, so in worst case scenarios, you can shine it on your feet and not be attacked. It is also recommended to come solo, to better your survival chances. (see Discovery Log 1)

This is what the hall looks like, though, it does not match the one inside the basement..

For some reason, the Day and Night cycle never works in this level, and all windows always show a pitch black night sky. The weather, also, never changes, and is always clear for some reason. When looking out, there is 0 grass, almost like the place is floating in a void of sorts.

When trying to escape, it is suggested to try and find the large lever at the end, which activates all the lights for 5 minutes. During this phase, it is best that you run down the hall, as it is around 3 km in length. If you do not reach it in time, all lights will shut off, as a swarm of entities will start coming down the hall, cornering you. If you reach the end, however, there will be a fire exit. Opening it will blare a really loud fire alarm, and all lights will go off, meaning that you have to run in as fast as you can.

Discovery

Level Dark was first discovered by a three man group. It was confirmed that they fell in something on Level 9, but it is unsure what they fell into.

Log #1

All data was recorded from one of the man's cameras. This is likely to change, depending on what M.E.G. discovers in the log over-time.

Begin Log:

Matt: Where are we?

Jake: I don't know, some sort of weird fucking basement or whatever..

Joshua: Well, what do we do? We landed on some light.

Jake: -looks at stairs and pointed- I'll try to go up there.

Joshua: Well, be careful.

-Jake enters the dark zone, and immediately starts to scream, and then gets dragged off-

Matt and Joshua: WHAT THE FUCK!?

-At this point, both are nervous-

Matt: WHAT DO WE DO!?

Joshua: I guess stay in the light, I mean, they aren't dragging us here.

Matt: Okay, but what about the lights? -points to the lights that are blinking, flickering, and magically turning off-

Joshua: I mean, I have a flashlight, it might work..

Matt: Okay.

-Each friend starts to carefully walk on the light area-

Matt: Uh.. -the light above him starts to blink-

Matt: What do I do, Joshua? The light is blinking above me!

Joshua: I don't know, try to get to another light area.

Matt: I can't, I'm stranded here.

-The light shuts off, as some hand grabs Matt and drags him away-

Matt: -in desperation, tries to shoot the hand, but misses-

Matt: AAAAAAA!

-At this point, Matt and Jake have now vanished, leaving Joshua alone-

Joshua: What do I do?

Joshua: Well, I have no other option, I guess I'll have to walk on the light and try my best..

-several minutes go by, as Joshua reaches the lever part-

Joshua: Some sort of lever. -turns on lever, as a clock says "5 minutes remaining" and all lights turn on-

-The lights signal to a hall way-

Joshua: Oh my god, I have to go down there? Well, I should probably run, I can't die this far in..

-Joshua starts to run down the hall, 3 minutes in, he reaches the half-way point-

Joshua: How long is this hall!?

-Joshua continues running down the hall, now 4 minutes and 30 seconds have passed.

Joshua: -breathing heavily- I see.. The exit..

-Joshua runs and finally reaches the exit, at which, he opens the fire exit. Just as he opens it, he hears a loud screech, as he sees a large amount of entities catching up-

Joshua: WHAT THE HELL!? HOW DID THEY GET IN THE LIGHT? -lights immediately turn off-

-Joshua runs into the fire exit, and ends up at a random level-

Description:

Level Dark is a playground, measuring around 50 Meters x 50 Meters. It is commonly seen that silhouettes of children are running around and playing. When this occurs, any on-lookers will be affected by the Cognito Hazard, and will be intrigued to play with the children. When the time ends, the on-looker will become depressed, and try to find ways to take themselves out.

This was the last known image of Level Dark.

When entering Level Dark, one will immediately notice how small the level is. The total width of the level is around 1 km x 1 km. Most of the level is covered in a thick, bushy forest. Due to this, most of the colonies inside Level Dark are located here.

The Day/Night cycle never moves, and is always stuck as if it's night time. This is the reason Level Dark got it's name. There appears to be a cloud that has been counting down. Time here is a lot slower, for some reason. One minute here is a whole second inside the real world. The cloud that's like a timer follows the time in Earth, meaning, it changes every minute.

It appears it's currently at 19:47, though, it is unknown what it means, but M.E.G. is investigating.

Survival

Level Dark is very habitable, as it is easy to start a colony, and survive. Though, it is recommended to never look at the playground unless necessary, as it can cause the person to go Mentally Insane, rapidly.

The thick, bushy forest inside Level Dark.

Discovery

Level Dark was first discovered due to a playground appearing out of no where in Level 9 and 11. When entering, it will destroy the scenery behind such person and transform it into a thick, bushy, messy, green forest.

For some odd reason, there seems to be an internet connection near the playground, so must of the data sent to M.E.G. to log in the data base was from the connection.

There are no sort of areas where food or water appear at, so most of the food comes from shipments brought into the level. It usually takes 1-2 months for a new shipment to arrive, though, it is usually packed with enough food and water to last.

Colonies and Outposts

There have been three outposts and one colony recorded, though, M.E.G. thinks there could be around 22 other hidden colonies or outposts located around the level.

The Western Explorers

  • Has around 28 members
  • Can help with navigation
  • Open to trade
  • Are friendly, though, may be hostile if pushed to their limit
  • Have a large supply of food and water.

M.E.G. Outpost Charlie 47 "The Traversers"

  • Has around 63 members
  • Are very friendly
  • Can supply people with food and water
  • Open to trade

The Thieves

  • Has around 16 members
  • Very hostile
  • Has a low supply of food
  • Usually robs people who go near their outpost, or robs other outposts
  • Rarely are they open to trade

The Explorers

  • A large colony, with 296 members
  • Very friendly
  • Open to trade
  • They usually explore around the map in groups of two.

Entrances and Exits

Entrances

  • Entering a portal inside Level 9 or 11
  • Walking into a large forest inside Level 10

Exits

There are no known exits, and there is believed to be none.

End of Archived Log

Level Dark turned into the way it was after the cloud turned to 24:00:00. At this period of time, a large beacon of light shined in the air, as the level changed into the basement it now is, and all survivors living in Level Dark died, with their bodies being found in random, separate levels. To this day, only 196 out of the 2794 have been recovered. Autopsy reports show that the body was exposed to huge amount of radiation in a single burst.

Colonies and Outposts

The presences of any active colonies or outposts on Level Dark is unknown at this time due to the nature of this level, however, GOIs like the M.E.G. have shown an interest in establishing a colony in the near future.

  • Smilers
  • Hounds (Spotted once, just beyond the darkness)
  • Death Moths are faintly present near the top of the level, typically circling the dangling lights
  • Multiple Skin-Stealers have been observed in the Level, attempting to imitate Wanderers being dragged into the darkness in an attempt to lure other Wanderers that may try to assist them
  • The Drowned One

Entrances and Exits
