Operation Blindside
Operation blindside was the first large scale military operation against a single group (the Partygoers). It was launched 3 years after the second Fun War and caused the third. The operation itself was an attempt to eradicate Party Hosts en-masse, as it was theorized that (since the Partygoers use them for communication and coordination) this would deal a major blow to their hostile capabilities. The operation was deemed a success after the killing of 104 party hosts and 700+ Partygoers, even though 539 eliminators went missing or were killed in action. Partygoer sightings, attacks and reported activity was drastically reduced for the next five years until the beginning of the third Fun War.
Operation Firestarter
Operation Firestarter is the largest M.E.G operation to date, with all available non-essential resources and personnel to be requisitioned and reassigned to this project.Operation lead Eliminator Roma Flynn is to make all decisions and can only be overruled by the Committee. All non-essential research projects or experiments are to be halted and the scientists reassigned to researching ways to combat the Primary threat entity. Cells of the Verdant Children are to be either destroyed or captured for study and Procedure-22-Scepter. Procedure-22-Scepter is a method of attempting to remove all mutations and mental influence from an individual affected by the Primary threat entity. This procedure has gone through several different iterations and has a current survival rate of 16%. It includes surgery, hypnotism and experimental technology; Psychic Resonance Obstructors.
Project Antigen
Project antigen is a long running scientific and engineering endeavour to develop weapons and/or other methods of combating and eradicating all common hostile entities. Most of its research and development has been halted to provide resources and manpower to Operation Firestarter but the project is still running in a revised form.
Smilers
Due to being semi-corporeal entities and partially resistant to small calibre firearms. Several alternative methods of combating smilers have been created. These are:
- EMR Grenades
Colloquially known as "Blazers" these spherical weapons have an eight second fuse before shining in excess of 3000 lumens for 0.75 seconds. Due to the extremely adverse effect of visible light on Smilers, a closely packed group can be easily eliminated with a well place Blazer. Due to the brightness of the light emitted, Blazers can cause damage a users retina and result in temporary blindness if improperly used.
- EMR Pulse Emitters
Nicknamed "Strobers" by anti-smiler equipped eliminator squads, these weapons can be attached to the side of gun barrels. They can be set to cast a wide angle pulsing beam of light that stuns and disorientates Smilers or a focused laser that is deadly to Smilers and can be used as a makeshift cutting tool. Strobers can also be used as visual aids in low light areas.
