A wanderer with one artifact in each of his hands.
This is an object that appears as the observer's religious symbol. If they aren't religious, it appears as a cross. It will always appear to have the texture/design of the observer's favourite gemstone.
Appearance
This object's design, and texture varies depending on the wearer. However, due to the fact that different designs change shape, the person who is closest has priority on the collision, but not the design. This can lead to bizzare quirks where it appears to be clipping inside someone's hand. It cannot be photographed, and will appear to not exist when photographed. The glow from the effect can still be seen, however.
Usage
There are 3 states for this object. Idle, Charged & Used. While idle, the gemstone color will appear as if it was a normal gemstone. You can charge it by going to any religious altar, and saying a prayer which must:
- Mention a god (atheists may mention any god, while religious people must mention their god)
- Mention your thankfulness to the god
- Mention that you want this artifact to be charged
Upon doing so, it will start to have a slight blue glow until being used, and be Charged.
Then, at any time you may recite the same prayer, and it will flash brightly, before bringing you next to the altar you bound it to. It will then enter the Used state, where it is usable after around 48 hours.
Tips
This can be found most often on levels with heavy religious themes, or inside churches.
Binding it to a hard to get to level can make it very valuable on the market, as religious artifacts are wanted for escaping entities, or for researching later levels.
Saying the prayer while having one in each hand will bring you to [UPCOMING LEVEL], so avoid that
Mark each artifact with what level they go to, to avoid mixups.
