Description []
Mixologist's Delight is an alcoholic cocktail commonly found in bars on Level 610 and the stores and vending machines of Level 33, although the object can be found in other levels, usually on unorthodox places. The cocktail itself is usually found on a martini glass; however, it can also be found on other glasses. The color of the cocktail heavily varies, though it is typically a light turquoise, normally found with a lemon or orange garnish. Wanderers report that the drink tastes sweet and refreshing, though with a citrus and bitter aftertaste. The martini glass itself is hard to break, as dropping the glass will not cause it to shatter; however, the martini glass can be broken through a harder force. The cocktail does not have a recipe and can only be found naturally within the Backrooms, though the cocktail is moderately common within the mentioned levels and rare within other levels.
Mixologist's Delight is normally expired, though Mixologist's Delight that is not expired can be useful to wanderers, therefore; unexpired Mixologist's Delight is extremely valuable. Drinking expired Mixologist's Delight will initially cause symptoms such as explosive diarrhea, vomiting, severe food poisoning, and moderate headaches. Continuous consumption of expired Mixologist's Delight will cause the previous symptoms to become worse, as well as causing new symptoms such as a high fever, sepsis, and possibly turn wanderers into a Wretch. To tell if Mixologist's Delight is expired, an expired Mixologist's Delight cocktail will be darker than the unexpired variants. The cocktail shows mild addictive qualities, though these addictive qualities are not strong enough to be considered "drug-like", instead being slightly higher than that of sugary sweets or standard Frontrooms snacks.
Usage []
The effects of Mixologist's Delight are useful for helping wanderers in the Backrooms; however, the intensity of said effects are significantly lowered in expired Mixologist's Delight, oftentimes even being overridden by the negative effects of the expired drink. One can drink Mixologist's Delight to increase speed, causing one to run away from entities, though wanderers are unable to run away from faster entities such as Skin-Stealers. Additionally, the effects of drinking Mixologist's Delight will prevent wanderers from turning into Wretches, though the opposite effects happen instead when consuming expired Mixologist's Delight as mentioned. The cocktail can be converted into Cashew Water by either mixing two or more variants of Mixologist's Delight or separating the cocktail from its original container; however, the latter option will take around 24 hours, whereas the former option takes around instantaneously.
Effects of unexpired Mixologist's Delight include, but are not limited to: increase of well-being, improved mood, increase of energy, and a high charisma. As mentioned, Mixologist's Delight has addictive qualities which are slightly higher than that of sugary sweets, and is normally expired. Mental effects of expired Mixologist's Delight include, but are not limited to: increase of pessimism, lowered mood, increased stress, and decrease of energy.
Locations []
As mentioned, Mixologist's Delight is most commonly found within Level 610 and Level 33, with Level 33 containing larger amounts of unexpired Mixologist's Delight. Variants []
- ΠΛΙΓΊ
- ΔΥΝΑΜΙ
- ΕΑΦΤΌΣ
The Pligí (Greek: Πλιγί) variant is the most common variant of Mixologist's Delight, and the only variant that is dangerous even when unexpired. Wanderers drinking the Pligí variant report that it tastes like the best food item they ever tasted. This variant is the most addictive variant of Mixologist's Delight, only being less addictive than other alcoholic drinks. When one drinks an unexpired version of the Pligí variant, they will experience symptoms such as a small wave of pain happening within random intervals, fatigue, and headaches. Continuous consumption of the Pligí variant will result in insomnia, flat affect, lack of nociception, and incapability of consuming foodstuffs. Consumption of expired Pligí variants will result in the same effects as the unexpired Pligí variants, though more intensified. The normal effects of expired Mixologist's Delight will also set in, though these effects will not override the effects of the Pligí variant. The variant is black when unexpired; however, if the variant is vantablack, then it is expired. Pligí is highly prone to being expired, and has short expiry dates.
The Dynami (Greek: Δυναμι) variant is a reddish white colored cocktail, having the same effects as the normal Mixologist's Delight; however, some aspects of the variant are different from the normal variant. Wanderers have reported that it tastes fruitier and sweeter than the normal variant. The usual effects of unexpired Mixologist's Delight apply, though extra effects such as an increase of strength, a sense of resilience and hope, and a boost of energy have been reported. This variant is the rarest and least addictive and has the least likely chance of being expired; however, expired Dynami variants are still common. If one does consume an expired Dynami variant, they will feel extremely weak, dull and hopeless. Dynami variants are associated with power and force, as multiple successful revolutions throughout the Backrooms have been successful seemingly because of the consumption of the Dynami variants of Mixologist's Delight. Oh the contrary, failed revolutions throughout the Backrooms have seemingly been caused by consumption of expired Dynami variants.
The Eaftós (Greek: Εαφτός) variant is a lime green colored cocktail, being reported to taste like citrus with a hint of melon, though other wanderers reported that the Eaftós variant has a more minty taste. It is unknown if the taste is random or if it is determined by the type of wanderer, or if it is caused by another factor. The variant is useful for healing the wanderer, which extends to any cuts, bruises, or other injuries. Some sources claim it can even partially grow back lost appendages; however, the reliability of these sources are quite low and whether these claims are true or not is uncertain. When a wanderer is on the verge of death, drinking the Eaftós variant will cause the wanderer to feel a last sense of bliss and will cause all pain to be fully numbed. A considerable number of wanderers have said that they were able to "escape the hands of death" through Eaftós, although the rate of the drink preventing death is fairly low. Consumption of expired variants will cause the wanderer to feel pain in every part of their body and feel a last sense of extreme pain, added with an extremely slow and painful death, as well as a loss of all four fingers and then limbs. Most people that had drank expired Eaftós variants slowly transform into Wretches, although some people do not transform into a Wretch and instead die.
