Wisp Candles are an "object" from the backrooms.

Full Description
Wisp Candles are in a weird state, being neither an entity or an object. When normally approached, they appear to light themselves, and trying to light them will instead create a wisp. This wisp will follow you around, carrying the candle and providing lighting, as if you are its owner. And you are now! Wisp Candles are loyal, but can help others. Wisp candles need proper care in order to live (see the appropriate section below). This is not all these wisps do, however! Depending on what color of candle the wisp is carrying, it will act differently. Each wisp has different powers, but they all have one "aura" that will empower wanderers near them. Some of them have favorite foods or drinks as well, and some have multiple! If they are fed their favorite food(s) or drink(s), they will become more powerful for around 8-10 hours.
Wisp Colors
- Red: Wanderers within a 2 meter radius have their wounds healed 20% faster. Its candle can summon small heart-shaped rubies that can be consumed like pills to heal wounds 50% faster for 12 hours. When its owner is attacked, it will blow on the candle, spewing embers that invoke the effect of Almond Water for 15 seconds. If given Crimson Water, its aura doubles in power and range, and it's ruby pills can also cure illness. When powered up by drinking Rose Water, It shoots embers 3 times as fast and it's embers also induce the effect of Super Almond Water for 10 seconds.
- Orange: Wanderers within a 4 meter radius lose no sanity, and objects within an 16 meter radius spoil 25% slower. It can use it's candle to boil Liquid Pain into Liquid Water, Almond Water into Super Almond Water and Rose Water Into Clover Tea. When its owner is gathering resources, it will assist them and gather alongside them, albeit at a 40% lower efficiency. When powered up by drinking Cardboard Water, It will gather at 100% efficiency and has a 10% chance to distill what it gathers instantly.
- Yellow: Entities within a 20 meter radius are 50% more vulnerable to damage. If an entity is in line of sight of the wisp, it will leave its owner's side and begin to blast that entity with moderately strong jets of fire. If its owner is attacking an entity, the wisp will assist it by bashing them with it's candle, dealing fairly low damage and burning its target. If fed Almond Cake, Its flame jets have a higher range and are corrosive, applying more extra damage. If given Backshrooms, it's jets are replaced by fireballs that have more range and have splash damage.
- Green: Wanderers within a 40 meter radius move 40% faster and jump 60% higher. If it's owner is attempting to traverse an area, the wisp may create a puff of smoke for the wanderer to stand on, which can also be moved by the wisp. If its owner is running away from something, it will constantly give its owner energy when needed. If given Liquid Health, the wisp makes its owner move 60% faster on top of its aura bonus, and it will allow it's owner to perform a sort of mid-air jump. If given Cashew Water, It's aura also gives wanderers inside of it a slow falling effect and +20% jump distance.
- Blue: Wanderers within an 8 meter radius are given +50% extra sense of smell and hearing. If entities are near their owner, it will brighten its light, and begin to shield its owner. If it's owner is injured, it will begin to apply an unknown substance onto the skin, which strengthens it and increases its toughness. If given Amandium, it's substance will also grant the effect of Mink Oil and lasts for twice as long without needing a re-application.
- Purple: Weapons within a 10 meter radius are given +40% durability and +20% damage. If a weapon is near it's owner, it will go and collect it. If it collects any weapon, it will have the effect of Gold Tape already. If given Crystalium, It will have a 5% chance to turn weapons it collects into Super Weapons
- White: Wanderers within a 50 meter radius are able to see each other through walls. White Wisp Candles allow their owners to telepathically communicate with other White Wisp Candle owners if they are in the same level. If given Neon Water, its communication link is extended to the whole cluster you are in.
- Black: Entities within a 100 mile radius lose their abilities related to detecting and tracking wanderers. If it's owner is in danger, it will cloak them, making them invisible to entities for 30 minutes. If another wanderer in the level is in danger, it will teleport them to itself. If given Jar O' Dark, It's cloaking also cloaks weapons on the wanderer and increases the range of EMP by 100 miles.
Taking Care of your Wisp and it's needs
Congrats! You now know what your wisp does! Now you need to know how to care for it. Your wisp has 4 basic needs, and 5 basic wants. Your wisp needs Food, Water, Energy and Health. Food and Water are simple enough, you give your wisp liquids for water and food for... food. Energy and Health are a little more complicated. Your wisp has around 20 hours of energy when you first find it. Your wisp uses energy while it's candle is on, and gains energy while it is off. You can also give your wisp sugary foods or drinks to increase it's energy. If your wisp's energy runs out, it will turn back into a normal candle. Your wisp will come back after 72 hours, so don't panic! Some companies from the backrooms sell Mink Oil, and mink oil can be used on your wisp to extend it's energy by 10 hours for around a whole month. The final way to take care of your wisp's energy is to give it Bottled lightning, which can replenish around 20 hours of energy. Health is determined by the amount of plasma your wisp has left. It starts at 100% of it's plasma, and per attack it takes, it loses around 10%. But good news! You can use most liquids or foods to replenish Health. 100 calories of food is equal to 1% of plasma. Bandages are another good source of health, for every foot of bandage used restores 2% of plasma. Syringes filled with Deoxyribose Syrup can be used to restore 25% of plasma over 5 hours. Peanut Muffins can be used for a flat 10%. And last but not least: Super Almond Water refills 100% of plasma.
Your wisp will want to have fun, fashion, free time, family time and friends. Your wisp has fun while playing with certain things, playing video/card/board games and doing anything it considers a hobby. (It is important to know, all wisps will have different hobbies and personalities. One may need more fun than another, and one may require little fun but more of everything else.) Fashion can be regulated by getting clothes tailored for your wisp. All wisps have different fashion styles, so make sure you ask it beforehand when going to a tailor. Free time is determined based on how much it's candle has been on recently. The longer it's candle has been off, the longer it will be on the next time used. Family time is time with you, so make sure to spend time with your wisp. And friends is based on how many entities it is friends with. It gets along with Sticcs, Partyguests, Frowners and Smilers and other wisps. And yes, one person can have more than one wisp to their name, so stock up!

More to know
Wisps, despite being Object 47, are not also Entity 47. This is because Wisp Candles had not been discovered before this slot was taken. Wisps' native language is dependent on who wakes it and who owns it. How this occurs is unknown. Wisps are tangible, despite being ghosts. Their candles are not made of wax, but out of some sort of stone or crystal. And finally, Wisps behave like normal humans.
