Alex Matthews
An explorer and philosopher working for the M.E.G, Alex Matthews was notable for his writings about Level 10, Level 11, and many more spaces within the Backrooms. Becoming an overseer of his own sub-group during his tenure, his most well known accomplishment was his exploration of Level Remnants.
Alice Morningstar
A calm and well spoken person, Alice Morningstar's leadership skills have allowed her to effectively lead a group of her own, known as "The Informants". Seems to be sleep-deprived and has a visceral fear of the dark, but otherwise tends to function relatively normally. She possesses a thick, brown, leather-skinned journal, which is one of the items that she had entered the Backrooms with and one of her most precious possessions.
Aspen
A 23 year-old male in the Backrooms, formerly working for the M.E.G as a physicist and studying the laws and properties of levels he encounters; that is, before the termination of his employment by the Major Explorer Group's leadership. Despite this, however, he still passionately continues his line of work.
Caius Taggert
Caius Taggert is a human male infected with Sanguine Festivus, seemingly in his thirties by appearance but in actuality being hundreds of years old. Always spotted wearing a worn black shirt, ragged brown pants, and a bag over his head decorated with a crude red smiley face, he is notable for leading hordes of Sanguine Festivus victims to attack crucial Party Crasher settlements.
Clove Rivers
Not much is known about Clove Rivers. Aside from the extract above, there have been very few sightings of her. Usually, wanderers reported seeing a woman with a long black ponytail dressed in a brown coat, with leather boots and orange-coloured accessories, matching the illustrations in the diary. Every individual claims they saw her collecting plants or other supplies in an unknown level before noticing the wanderer and fleeing. From this, it has been concluded that Clove Rivers could prove useful to the M.E.G. as she seems to have much knowledge about the aforementioned level's documentation.
Juiole H. Charles
Juiole Harold Charles, referred in later years as Dr. Charles, was a high ranking professor and navigator of the Backrooms and is most known for being the first person to discover Level [REDACTED]. Born on August 8, 2051, he eventually received degrees in mechanics and computer science. He no-clipped into the Backrooms on October 1, 2074, but was unlucky enough to arrive in the Backrooms on November 3, 2012.
Grant Armand - M.E.G Recon Operative
Grant Armand was a Former UK military member of the Special Reconnaissance Regiment (SRR) inducted into Task Force 'Black Knight'. Born in Northern England he enlisted in the military where he had shown prowess and willingness to develop. During his military service, he had worked his way up the ranks and eventually took the opportunity to join the SRR. He now operates as a reconnaissance operative for the M.E.G. and first responder to emergency situations and anomalies.
Jack Umbra
Jack Umbra, commonly referred to as 'Pumpkinhead' or 'The Carver', is a notorious serial killer residing within the Backrooms. His current body count is unknown, but it is assumed to be a minimum of 40 victims. Although some have theorized that he may be an entity, these rumors are unsubstantiated.
Jacob
Claiming to be a copy of a human with the same name, Jacob is a true faceling who wears a green hoodie with unreadably jumbled white text printed on it, dark cargo trousers, and black boots. His hair is brown, loosely curly, and cut very short. All of his clothing is usually stained with spray paint, which he is usually seen carrying in a terribly stained canvas bag.
Jerry M. Sercher
Italian-born Jerry M. Sercher, whose full name is Jerry Martin Sercher, is a notable figure in the Backrooms. Being the founder of the B.W.O. and the Republic of Artists, he led the group before his fateful disappearance after contact with Memory Flame.
Marco Blackmore
Marco Blacknmore was a 5'8, 29-year-old Caucasian male. He had short, blond hair covering half of his face, had dark blue eyes, and always wore his scientist clothing. He was known for his loyalty to the M.E.G. and always helped when it was necessary. Due to his altruistic and kind behavior, he became known and loved in scientific circles. Because of this, many were shocked when the news of his death arrived.
He was found dead on 12/06/20██ at Level 125, covered in snow, and very far from all known outposts at the moment of discovery. After interrogation, neither group agreed to recognize the body. From the little information that was obtained, the Group Delta would have killed the scientist Marco Blackmore for unknown reasons.
Maria
“Maria” is a partial faceling child who has been found wandering numerous levels of The Backrooms. Little is known of her background, save for the fact that her parents reside in a sublevel of Level 11 and that she has some connection to an entity known as the "Keymaster".
Plans are currently underway to terminate the Keymaster and associated entities from the Royal Court.
Flann Synder
The brother of one Nook Snyder, Flann is a orange-red haired guy, currently missing after a fateful incident.
Nathaniel
Nathaniel originated from the USA, specifically Texas. He is a Caucasian, 32-year-old male, standing at a height of 5'4". When he was in the Backrooms, he was commonly found wearing business attire, where he found the suit is unknown, as he claims that when he entered the Backrooms, he was wearing shorts and a hoodie.
He is one of the few wanderers who managed to escape the Backrooms, and maintain contact with M.E.G., or any other group located inside of the Backrooms. It is relatively unknown how he managed to maintain contact with M.E.G., or the Backrooms as a whole, as it seems relatively impossible to send any letters or emails from the Frontrooms into the Backrooms.
Rainy
Operative #29304, named “Rainy” (last name unknown), is a professional M.E.G explorer and the current leader of Team Voyager, aged 27 years old, and identifying as non-binary. Although otherwise possessing only a few useful skills, the anomalous properties they gained upon entering the Backrooms have made them a valuable asset to the group.
Robin
Robin is an enigmatic person of interest within The Backrooms, with an outlandishly optimistic and flamboyant demeanour, but a strange enthusiasm towards violence. Robin has been known to behave similarly to someone infected with stage 2 of Sanguine Festivus, however somehow he has been found to be near-completely cured of the virus when he first contracted it. It is believed — mostly from his own account — that he managed to suffer certain mental symptoms normally reserved for stage 2, but in the first stage of his disease.
According to Robin, he joined the Party Crashers together once reaching the Taggertsbane base in Level 4, and when they officially became members of the group, they were sent on a mission to Level 2. However, due to a certain mishap, Robin consumed contaminated food and contracted the Sanguine Festivus disease. However, he was able to cure himself due to finding the sufficient resources.
A couple of weeks later, Robin proceeded to attempt to recontact Taggertsbane. This failed horribly, as Robin nearly died due to the group’s belief that he was still infected with stage two of the virus. After this event, Robin quit, leaving the Party Crashers altogether.
Theta Thatcher
Theta Thatcher, the only title he is known by, is an elusive being, only being sighted six times as of currently. Appearing as a male humanoid figure with entirely black skin, their face is replaced by a glowing white θ, presumably the being's eye. Staring into the symbol would provoke a sudden rush of memory flashbacks. Any people who experience the flashbacks will also have their faces replaced with Thatcher's symbol. The entity also has complete power over The Underground, being able to manipulate matter and light. The primary way that Thatcher combats primarily focuses on one's mentality and sanity, often taking advantage of the opponent's limited vision.
The Alchemist
The Alchemist is an entity PoI with strong alchemical abilities that bears a resemblance to a human, albeit set apart by distinct and eccentric attributes. The Alchemist's main ability is, according to him, the ability to "understand anything, down to its most basic systems" — this apparently can mean anything from seeing things' insides without opening them to comprehending and editing their molecular structures.
Records of entities resembling the Alchemist date back as far as the recordkeeping systems that hold them, appearing alongside other ancient entities such as the Keymaster.
The First
Serving as the leader of the Major Explorer Group, The First is an unaging baseline human who holds complete power over the group. As the leader of the consensus, he has an immense amount of power over the political landscape of the Backrooms, spearheading many of its initiatives.
The Lone Soldier
A warrior from long ago, from somewhere in baseline reality. Deceased.
The Party Pooper
Thomas Jefferson Wilson, popularly known as "The Party Pooper," is a human infected with the Sanguine Festivus Virus who has freed himself from the mind control imposed by the virus. The exact cause of how he resisted the control is uncertain. The Party Pooper plays the role of a vigilante, mainly combating the Partygoers and the forces of Caius Taggert, his archenemy. Due to the virus in his body and his resistance to its control, he uses his superhuman abilities as an infected to help, guide, and encourage the wanderers he encounters on his path.

Ash
Ash, also known as “The Resident of Level 62,” is a former wanderer who no-clipped into the Backrooms at a young age. She usually wanders around Level 62 and is assumed to be responsible for the disappearances within the level.
For reasons that are still unknown to this day, Ash was somehow physically and mentally altered soon after her entry into Level 62, as aforementioned. During this alteration, Ash began to develop long, black claws, a distorted face, a more lankier and longer body, and her limbs and arms to bend at an awkward angle. The alteration process also changed Ash’s mind and behavior, turning her pre-alteration kind, tender, and nice personality into a more ruthless, animalistic, and bloodthirsty personality.
H.T
H.T is a male human who lives within Level -4. He has a diary which is stored within the cabins, which reveals that he has gone insane. He is generally hostile to entities and wanderers and often hunts for meat. H.T is a known cannibal, and he barely understands English.
He is the most dangerous part of this level, as he can't be stopped just by using doors. H.T carries a shotgun with himself which is used for self-protection. He also wears a mask on his face at all times. This is to prevent anyone from recognizing him.
