The Picket Fencers are not a colony in the backrooms, rather a nomadic group that travels through various levels of the backrooms, picking up wanderers, collecting supplies, and group-hunting entities. The group was founded in 1975, when a small Alabama farming town of about 563 residents mysteriously disappeared. Though their buildings and animals disappeared from the frontrooms, they were missing in the backrooms. The town residents heard the clamor of each other and reuinited, as they had all no-clipped into Level 0. After wandering to Level 1, picking up 3 wanderers along the way, they formed The Picket Fencers. They don't use the internet as a majority of them never had internet in the frontrooms. They remain neutral and refuse to associate or be against any organization.
Almost every member of this group carries a weapon as well as supplies such as almond water, food, etc. Any entity that approaches their herd will either flee or attempt to fight against them.
Population
According to figures given by members, there are between 3,000 and 7,000 of them. This poll was taken among 500 members in around 2015.
Levels
They wander nomadically throughout several different levels. They frequently gather supplies from Level 4 and Level 11. They hunt entities on Level 2, Level 8 and Level 9. They occasionally pass through Levels 0, 1, and 5.
Entities Hunted
The Picket Fencers will often gang up on Hounds, Skin Stealers, Skin Givers, Howlers, Smilers, and other entities. They have a remarkable ability, unique to their group, of performing a call to drive certain entities into a state of paralysis or unconciousness. These tactics are primarily used on entities which are dangerous to approach otherwise, such as rattlers. Once they slay an entity, they will draw their signature mark on its body to show their presence and carry its head along with them. They have kept hundreds to thousands of entity heads: many common entity heads, wretches/insanities, and even very exotic entities such as Phobic Centipedes.
