Any encounters with Entity 14 is to be avoided due to certain justifications which are stated in the following article. Do not be fooled by its appearance, nor approach any Rainbows reported in the aforementioned levels; there is a possibility these seemingly normal Rainbows in question might be Entity 14.

Description

Entity 14, dubbed "Rainbows", takes an appearance of ordinary rainbows possessing the typical 7 colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. The circumstances which cause the presence of Entity 14 in a specific region are unknown; however, levels taking place in an outdoor area bear higher chances of having an Entity 14 present within its compounds. Thorough analysis and investigations prove direct contact with Entity 14 is possible, meaning the entity in question is not a result of sunlight and atmospheric conditions. Nevertheless, it mostly emerges during cloudy or rainy weather, however, some cases of Entity 14 materializing during a clear, sunny day have been reported before.

The effect of Entity 14's presence is substantial at best, mostly affecting areas approximately 12 miles within its surroundings. If the entity is exposed to any tangency between itself and a physical force (excluding gravitational force if a level possesses one) an object such as the wind or a speck of dust, a trigger would transpire — which will result in an instantaneous exposure to a lethal dose of radiation for a human subject of around 1000-5000 rem. Assuming one does not immediately perish due to the radiation, long-term radiation sickness, or development of cancer around the area in which the part of the body is exposed to radiation the most would gradually lead one to a painful death.

Furthermore, areas affected by Entity 14's highly radioactive and murderous attack are not physically harmed. No destruction of any other living things excluding microorganisms, entities, animals, and humans are afflicted by the radiation. Intensive examinations of samples originating from an area nearby the epicenter of Entity 14's attack conclude the radiation from Entity 14 does not affect plants and fungi in any way, even if the dose of the said radiation is 5 times the lethal amount to decimate an adult elephant; no appearance of harm is shown by the plants and fungi. Additionally, the plants and fungi affected by the radiation are non-toxic and edible regardless of if it is exposed to Entity 14's radiation or not. The radiation caused by Entity 14 does not possess a long life-span unlike its counterpart in the Frontrooms. The standard duration of Entity 14's lethal radiation's life expectancy is approximately 2 weeks, compared to the 14 thousand years for the Chernobyl radiation's to utterly breakdown.

Behavior

Whilst Entity 14 does not communicate with any living subjects including entities and humans, it does appear the entity possesses an ability to divulge with its kind; whether it is the same classification of species or a different variety of the entity. The procedure in which these entities undertake this is yet to be ascertained, though most hypotheses state usage of certain soundwaves, mainly electromagnetic radiation, may contribute to the intercommunication between each Rainbow.

Encounters with Entity 14 in levels taking place outdoors classified under The Main Nine, with that being Level 7 are habitually non-existent by unknown means. The traffic within these levels is much higher than the levels Entity 14 appears on. It is likely Entity 14 does not possess enough intelligence for it to exterminate considerable aggregation of people and entities, or simply it is Entity 14's disapprobation for its appearance, characteristics, and behavior to be thoroughly investigated and analyzed for any wanderer's future needs.

Entity 14's tendency to appear in seemingly haphazard regions is under investigation, however, there is no ongoing research on the subject matter due to the difficulty of the examination. It is theorized Entity 14 haphazardly chooses locations with no prior knowledge of the area's appearance, traffic, etc before deciding to stay in that location until its radioactive attack. Secondly, Entity 14 might possess a teleportation ability which grants the ability to switch places, however, it does not seem Entity 14 bears the capability to control it. The hypothetical teleportation endowment might require an accumulation of energy, therefore, the radiation Entity 14 is presumed to be the byproduct of excessive radioactivity.

A discovered corpse of a male adult in a graveyard located in Level 199 confirmed to be one of the countless confirmed victims of Entity 14's assailment. The body in question is ready for examination.

Biology

The divergence between Entity 14 and a non-anomalous rainbow present in the Backrooms is the panoramic view, more often called a full 180-degree rainbow. No Rainbows authenticated to be Entity 14 had been reported to possess an appearance of a 180-degree angle rainbow — the maximum degree in which it appears to bear is only approximately 70 degrees. A circumstance by which Entity 14 appears during clear weather will result in the dwindling of the Rainbow as it continues rightwards; usually accompanied by a cloud if not.

As previously mentioned, Entity 14 possesses a physical physique which one can directly touch, proven by the countless chunks and debris left by an attack by Entity 14. The material by which Entity 14 is constructed, or made out of has a texture similar to glass, however, with a more "sandy" surface and an estimated 5 times more durable.

A slight peppermint-like aroma can be scented throughout Entity 14’s surroundings. The smell most likely originated from the material it is made out of, a forecast/warning for persons within its range, or a temptation for starving subjects which might seek a source of food, such as candy for this instance.

A classified audio log of the initial discovery of Rainbows, involving Chief ███████████ and Officer █████████.

<Commence>

Chief ███████████: ███████, have you entered the specified location on the map?

Officer █████████: Yes chief, took me a while to circumnavigate the mountain, but everything is fine.

Chief ███████████: Alright ███████, can you detect the structure? Try exploring the area further, the bunker should be within your location.

<Faint rumbles of wind can be discerned, a short pause later occurred>

Officer █████████: I believe I've spotted the bunker, chief. It is just above a hill, so it should be easy to hike and enter the building.

Chief ███████████: There should be a room on your left-hand side, ███████. Enter the room and retrieve every object you can find.

Officer █████████: Is there anything else other than the documents? I cannot seem to find the backpack you mentioned earlier.

Chief ███████████: That's a bit odd, the backpack should be lying on one of the corners. Perhaps you can investigate the other rooms; the backpack may be in one of them.

Officer █████████: Roger that, chief. I'll be returning to the base so- (pauses) wait, did I just see a rainbow?

Chief ███████████: Can you repeat that, ███████?

Officer █████████: I suppose there is a presence of a rainbow in this area, I can see it through the window. Has that been documented before, chief?

Chief ███████████: There are no cases of persons ever seeing a rainbow in the level. Can you confirm that it isn't simply a hallucination?

Officer █████████: I [...] I'm going to assume it is a hallucination, chief. The rainbow promptly disappears from si- (a firework-esque, immense explosion can be heard in the background)

Chief ███████████: ███████! Can you hear me? ███████! (murmuring in a stressed voice)

Officer █████████: Chief, what is happening? Is there an explanation for this? (a follow-up explosion can be heard)

<A temporary signal loss occurs, lasting for 5 minutes>

A second audio log was recorded after the end of the previous recording due to a signal loss.

<Commence>

Chief ███████████: ███████, are you hurt?

Officer █████████: No, chief. I'm not injured, although I'm concerned the radiation levels have increased significantly. My Geiger counter has been beeping since the initial explosion.

Chief ███████████: Copied that, officer. Can you describe your surroundings? Where are you currently?

Officer █████████: I'm in one of the rooms, chief. I'm afraid I may be exposed to a lethal amount of radiation if I venture outside.

Chief ███████████: Can you recount how radioactive the explosion was? Did you gaze at the Geiger counter during the explosions?

Officer █████████: I can barely glimpse a number reaching a hundred, chief.

Chief ███████████: There... (pauses) is there any chance you can send me your location now? You brought the map; we cannot locate you.

Officer █████████: (a rigorous attempt to retrieve the map can be heard) I am at ████████████████████████.

Chief ███████████: Alright, ███████. Remain in that room, we will be sending a team so-

<A temporary signal loss occurs, lasting for over 50 minutes; abruptly ending the recording>

<End>

Officer █████████ was discovered to be unconscious within the room; severe radiation burns were found on his back. He made a full recovery 14 months after.
