(Note: This is a fanmade entity)

Ravagers are a mechanical entity found on most levels of the backrooms

They usually possess a red mechanical eye with several hydraulic lines and adapters stemming from the center. Some may even have discarded electronics embedded inside the eye itself. They have a tendency to look at any moving objects, Whether it be Humans, Entities, active Ravagers, or vehicle Ravagers. They are highly aggressive towards non-organic sentient beings (I.E Counter Entities) as they act on their own instinct to kill and control these types of creatures.

They are very cunning and intelligent entities with a hate towards anything organic. Usually the rooted ones lure in other entities or humans using speech from killed humans. When the victims get close enough, They are killed on the spot by the active Ravagers and dragged away.

(Possible?) Origin

Picture of a rooted Ravager. It cannot move due to it being rooted so it must spread using it's electronic pathogen. (Note: The drone used to capture this image stopped responding to inputs after 2 minutes of being in the stronghold.)

Their origin is largely unknown due to the highly territorial nature of the bigger colonies. Making manned and un-manned expeditions unfeasible. There are some theories to their origins, but most range from slightly incorrect to flat-out wrong. The most believable origin is said that they might've crossed over from an entirely different universe due to the nature of the biggest Ravager stronghold, But even this is highly unlikely.

Types

  • Rooted: The basic Ravager type that is quite rare in the early levels. They are responsible for the creation of active Ravagers because of their pathogen that they release from their red eye.
  • Active: These types are formed from small electronic devices like Computer terminals, Mobile phones, Flashlights, and even lamps in the ceiling that got afflicted with the electronic pathogen. They are aggressive hunters that will attempt to track down their previous owner and kill them (In rare cases however, They will use their cloaking device to shimmer out of sight and leave the person alone). If they did not have a previous owner or they have killed the current one. They will go to the nearest Ravager stronghold, Regardless of distance. If they are incapacitated and not destroyed, They will root themselves to the ground and become a rooted Ravager.
  • Vehicle: These types of Ravagers are incredibly dangerous and are formed from the husks of abandoned vehicles. They are very fast and heavy Ravagers that can tear down buildings and destroy walls in city levels with ease. They also have a stronger cloaking device than active Ravagers which can last up to an hour if activated. Most of these types of Ravagers are located near huge strongholds, Which is a fair warning to anyone trying to explore certain parts of the city levels. They usually are outfitted with a set of Autocannons, Machine guns, and in one instance, a Rail gun. These types should be avoided at costs.
  • Unknown (Possibly Leader): This type of Ravager is largely unknown as it was only seen once during the 9/28/21 incident that occurred on Level ∝. It had some form of visual attack as the people who were there viewed it, went mad, and killed each other. Survivors of the incident reported it being 60 meters in height, having a humanoid shape (Accounts vary) and being covered in red eyes of varying sizes.

Known allies

Their only known ally is called The Infected (Also known as Entity 1143).

They will attempt to turn anything mechanical into them. Making them a not very well liked and dangerous entity in the backrooms.

Strongholds

Picture of the lower parts of one of the biggest lairs (Located on Level 5002). Showing one of the Ravager eyes along with an unknown set of wires. Image was captured by Drone MD-13 (Owl) before contact was suddenly lost. (Presumably by Autocannon fire)

In some of the bigger Ravager strongholds (I.E Ravager's Foothold. One of the biggest. Presumed to be infinite in size) they have high-powered weapons (Mainly Autocannons) that can tear apart anything that strolls into their lair with great efficiency. It is best advised to avoid these types of strongholds at all costs as nothing has ever returned from these types of strongholds alive.

Smaller strongholds possess great rewards as the active Ravagers usually gather supplies to build weapons, But haven't had time to use the supplies to make them. Caution is advised in raiding these spots however as they are still probably lurking around the place or setting up for an ambush.

Incident 9/28/21

On Level ∝ during a sweep of the airport. A massive dark-skinned humanoid (Presumably 60 meters in height) with black tendrils was discovered off in the white void. It was staring at the people who were at the airport with it's many red eyes on it's body. Gazing back at it brought upon madness and hunger. In less than 5 minutes everyone at the airport killed each other during the time it stood there. Hours later it walked back through the mist and vanished. Nobody knows what this creature was, But it could have something to do with the Ravagers.
