Entity 293, Televisions

Habitat: Any level that resembles a house or has buildings in general. Has a very low encounter rate.

Threat Level: 0 untouched. 6 upon interaction.

Description:

Televisions are almost indescribable in every right from their description, right to their bio. The only thing understood about Televisions is that if you interact with one you are dead. Anybody and everybody who has touched a Television never returned. All reports on how this creature kills is from tv shows or movies related to the Backrooms. Studies have shown that when the tv show or movie ends, whoever interacted with the Television is the most likely to die, even if they are far away from the entity. The entity poses little to no threat level until this type of interaction happens, in which the motherboard of the entity will react in a strange manor, causing the entity to turn on as a result.

The entity has no intention of hunting anybody down, and likes to sit and chill for the most part. The entity has been said to "know where wanderers are". This theory got millions of wanderers scared, with about 20,910 died upon initial reaction due to other entities in those wanderers vicinities, or overall not paying attention to what they were doing as a result. It has been proven somewhat false, but evidence in recent time has shown small inferred cameras, but whenever it is connected to the entity is unknown. You could try to talk to the entity, with the response being a red flashing light, known to be Morse Code.

Behaviors:

The behaviors of the Televisions are the most confusing by far in terms of piecing the puzzle together. They seem to be docile for the most part until one is stupid enough to interact with one. They seem to know where wanderers are at all times but how they do this act is undetermined for now. They seem to be unbreakable and cannot be killed naturally. The only way to kill a Television via the use of weapons, but this has serious consequences if preformed incorrectly. If preformed incorrectly, the entity will release a shockwave, stunning anybody caught in the blast. The entity will then turn itself on, releasing a random hostile entity to finish the job. This figure is artificial, and has more advanced properties then the original variant.

The entity has also been known to have other behaviors, but they haven't shown these said behaviors yet. The entity has shown emotion with pictures on the screen. But how to determine these emotions is currently unknown at the time. The Television hates it when you turn it on physically causing it to react the way it does. It does this mechanism to kill any predators looking. Anything electronic related can and will pose a threat to the entity. This is due to a certain chip within their system which causes them to go haywire and see anything coming near them as a threat.

One notable feature of the entity is that it is fine with controller interaction. Video gaming is something the entity is comfortable with. It has been known to contain games that were not made in the real world. Some of the games include: Radical Adventure, Back-Fighting, The One Who Smiles, etc. The controllers are a mix of an N64 controller, and a GameCube controller. Nobody knows why they look like this. The controller can be used to turn on the entity and what not. It is unknown why the entity exhibit's this behavior, but people speculate it has to do with not touching the entity physically.

They can also emit audio frequencies that can hypnotise anybody in a 30 meter radius around the entity, but is significantly affected by the distance of the wanderer, and how many walls are in their path between the Television itself and the wanderer. This hypnotic effect turns wanderers hit by it against themselves as they lose control over their own movement. The wanderer will then touch the entity without warning, leading into a quick and painless death. It is unknown where these audio frequencies come from but one thing is clear; the ones causing this frequency to happen are models with antennas attached to the entity. With this method, they can catch and kill Partygoers for a use of food, which is mainly electricity they feed on. Sometimes the entity will kill Partygoers just for fun or satisfaction.

Biology:

The Televisions biology has been researched for months on end now, and it's finally understood. It consists of a motherboard, power cable, and stand. The motherboard also has a magnetic pulse, used to repel any liquid substance, or any other material used to destroy such objects, away from the entity. This ability is what lead to the discovery of the entity in question, when a fellow wanderer in Level 829 met an unfortunate fate with the creature.

The wiring of the creature is complex in design. It has many HDMI ports on the back, no matter what model, although, there is no use for it. Other port holes are on the back, however, they are heavily distorted, making identification of these ports impossible. From the underside of the Television are buttons to turn the entity on, a pair of volume buttons, a pair of channel buttons, and a source button, which do nothing. These buttons can only be pushed if the entity is dead, which explains why they have no effect.

Discovery:

On Level 829, a wanderer by the name of "Jacob", went into a bedroom of the level to rest. He set his Almond Water on the dresser with the entity, when suddenly, it moved. He placed it over and over again, with the bottle toppling off of the dresser over and over again. He examined what was causing his Almond Water to fall off the dresser. He theorized that the Television on the dresser was the one causing it, and when he tried to throw some droplets, only to have them thrown right back at him, he was correct.

Jacob touched the entity, hoping to watch some of his favourite tv shows when he was a kid, only to see something he didn't recognize. He observed the show he was watching, but he saw someone that died. It was unfortunately the last time he was ever heard from. The M.E.G has found the body in the same room, making the exact same mistake as the wanderer, and made a physical interaction with the entity, dying within the first few minutes of the movie starting.
