Level “Amnesia” is a sub-level of the Backrooms, Which functions as a self contained entrance and exit to other levels.

Description:

The “Amnesia” level is considered an impossible enigma. Upon interviewing people who claim to have visited such a place, They fail to recall exactly what the Level actually looks like, However some minor traits that the level exhibits are consistent through all of these interviews. A most notable trait is that the Level consists of impossible architecture that does not obey the laws of relativity. Minor traits reported consist of long and winding corridors as well as painted windows onto various walls. An unexplainable side effect of encountering the “Amnesia” level is that people who have entered and exited through the level barely notice that they are within a new level. Travelers also have noted that several walls within the Level are scribbled upon in an undetermined liquid that bears the consistency of ink, yet is not ink, As well as a language that is indecipherable to anyone who views it. Attempts to copy the writings on the wall have remained unviable, as the volunteers forget the very reason they entered the Level to begin with and quickly return empty handed. Alongside the failure to write down the language, no photo of the “Amnesia” level’s interior currently exists, however plenty of sketches from travelers are prevalent.

A Sketch of a impossible Staircase that appeared briefly During Researchers explorations. At the time, no one has Been able to rediscover the staircase, nor do Researchers know What the double doors led to.

Entities:

While the “Amnesia” level has no recorded entities, sightings of other level entities have been spotted frequently traveling from one Entrance and Exit to another. This strange behavior has led theorists to believe that the “Amnesia” level functions like an entry and exit point for Travelers and entities to travel to different levels within the hierarchy of Backroom locations.

Entrances and Exits:

Entrances are that of a Victorian Era Cracked mirror with a black void in the reflection. These Entrances can appear at random points within other Levels below Level 0, and likewise the exits can transport a traveler to any level below Level 0. Because of the Unpredictable nature of these entrance and exit points, it is recommended to take extreme caution when passing through the “Amnesia” Level.

Exit points for escaping the “Amnesia” level appear at random locations within the Level but have been calculated to be exactly 4 minutes upon arrival, they once again take the same form of the entrances but uncracked.

Through Multiple trial runs, Researchers have determined that no passage through the “Amnesia” level will ever drop a Traveler through the same locations twice. This nonsensical and seemingly random quirk of the exit points within the level is why researchers have requested people to steer clear of entering the Level unless it is absolutely necessary.

Colonies:

Because of the inattentive trance the Level gives people, attempts at setting up a long-term Colony have proven to be fruitless,as people’s natural instincts seem to deter them from staying within the Level for any longer period of time after 4 minutes. Many Survivors have compared traveling through the “Amnesia” Level to that of the feeling of entering a room and forgetting why you came into said room. As of right now, Theorists have failed to find a reasonable explanation for this strange occurrence.
