Entity 29

The Behavioral Suite is one of the most unknown 'anomalies' in Backrooms history.
A curious normal wanderer, sometime in March of 2022.

Let us first review the definition(s) of a canon:

  • Definition 1: The "true" original story of, in this case, The Backrooms. Which one do you believe? I am curious...
  • Definition 2: An accepted principle or rule. There are several theories you creatures have written concerning The Backrooms but none of them can be proven or largely agreed upon. The human mind is an interesting facet...is it not?
  • Definition 3: Writings or other works that are generally agreed to be good, important, and worth studying. I believe those writings are the collective experiences reported by you explorers as you traverse The Backrooms.

Description

What is The Behavioral Suite in relationship to The Backrooms?

It is complicated just like you creatures are and you, Gary, can stop giving me that look...

The Behavioral Suite is rumored to be the following:

  1. Level -369
  2. Unethical research experiments.
  3. A fever dream inside of a nightmare.
  4. A lie inside of another lie.
  5. A pocket dimension inside of an alternative reality.
  6. Hypnosis inside of a hallucination.
  7. A game.
  8. Everything, something, and nothing at all.

I was not being completely honest concerning what is The Behavioral Suite. Before I discuss what truly is The Behavioral Suite, I should discuss human nature first...

Human Nature: Your Built-in Safety Net

Humans are interesting anomalies. The human experience is characterized by what each human being experiences on a mental, emotional, spiritual, physical, and social level. This experience shapes your perception of reality. The three aspects of the human experience that will be explored in this 'canon' are following:

  1. The strong desire to explore the unknown and unfamiliar.
  2. To question one's place in reality.
  3. Survival.

Human exploration is often a rewarding experience as it helps you grow and develop as people, enrich your lives, expose you to new people and ideas, etc. Humans questioning their place, in reality, gave birth to religion, psychology, philosophy, science, etc., to help you understand what it means to be human and understand the world around you. The human will to survive and adapt is the reason humans as a species have flourished and evolved to populate almost every corner of The Frontrooms.

Human discovery of The Backrooms has not been so forgiven.

Is Human Nature Suitable for The Backrooms?

I am not trying to be cruel. Some places are not meant to be found.

The Backrooms fulfill the human need to explore and discover. The Backrooms piques your interest and curiosity. I am sorry to say your exploration might not be rewarded. Your discovery might drive you to madness. Your curiosity will be the reason why you will be killed.

The Backrooms removed you from the safety net you created for yourselves in The Frontrooms and placed you in an unfamiliar place. The environments are unpredictable. The 'place' is inhabited by dangerous beings. The majority of you will wander this 'reality' alone. For most of you, entering this place will be the last time you see another person.

I wrote this 'canon' because your creatures need to face the ugly truth. This 'place' was not built with your survival in mind...

Human survival is dependent on a subset of criteria being met, and these criteria are best described using Marlow's Hierarchy of needs.

Surviving The Backrooms Based on Marlow's Hierarchy of Needs

D447cafc-ac8b-47df-87d7-d830c044c611.jpg

According to Marlow's Hierarchy of needs, humans struggle to survival if 'Love and Belonging' (Tier 3) and 'Safety and Security' (Tier 2) tiers are not fulfilled. You will perish for certain if your 'Physiological Needs' (Tier 1) are not meet at all (Example: Lack of air/suffocation) or for an extended period of time (Example: You can go 3 days without water.)

Most explorers will get lost in the labyrinth of rooms only to perish from thirst or starvation (Denied Tier 1: Food and water). Some explorers will get predated (Denied Tier 2: Property - weapons to defend). Other explorers will be claimed by the harsh environment present in these spatial anomalies (Denied Tier 1 and 2: Shelter). Still other explorers will succumb to madness (Denied Tier 2: Mental Health). Most explorers will traverse The Backrooms alone (Denied Tier 3). If you find other people, they might abandon you out of fear or betray you out desperation. There is a possibility you will helplessly watch another person die. A few will find a safe spatial anomaly to settle in and accept this place as their new home (Denied Tier 1 - 3, safety in numbers to achieve Tiers 1 - 3). A handful will be given an offer they should refuse as what is being offered comes at a price (Denied Tiers 1 - 3, seeking to achieve Tiers 1 - 5).

You creatures think you will subdue this place. I thought I could subdue this place. You will subdue nothing! You either embrace the chaos or die. Most of you will perish.
