The Blue is the sound of waves hitting the shore, the sound of rain hitting the ground. In volume, it is known to fluctuate from 20 to 110 decibels. Manned missions to The Blue have reported hearing the sound, but also many others. Inside of the sound, many hear voices and common sounds from their life. They say that these sounds, while incomprehensible on their own, form a greater message. None have been able to describe it when interviewed. Pictures taken of the Blue come out as an ocean with the Core in the background, with different angles having different light sources and depths. However, it is not just an ocean. Those who have experienced the place describe a constantly shifting, yet constantly accepted landscape.

The Blue was a result of an anomaly caused by the death of one of the 103, according to it's worshippers. The remains have existed since prehistory, and have since gained consciousness The Blue is a metaphysical domain created by this consciousness, turned into a partially physical one by the innate power of the remains.

Another remarkable aspect of the Blue is it's connection to the Backrooms. Most regions similar to the Blue cannot be reached by humans, however out of what seems to be charity the Blue itself has opened routes between the two places. In addition, it does not attempt or is unable to drastically change information on it.

The Blue, hence it's name, is always made up of varying shades of blue. Lighting still applies, though it is also determined by the constantly shifting landscape.

Most of the Blue is mostly harmless, other than the off chance of the landscape shifting to something volatile or inhabitable should the Blue be agitated. The exception to this is the area near the core, named Aellan. Aellan is especially volatile, and subsumes all outside forces. This includes humans. Humans entering this region will quickly begin losing their memories due to the proximity of the Core. Due to this, it is unadvised to move towards any light sources.

Soundwaves have been picked up above the human range of hearing. When slowed down to the human register, these sounds can be identified as screams. Their source is unknown. In addition, in some areas close to the Aellan high levels of microwaves can be lethal.

Photographs have been deemed safe to look at, though they do not capture what is happening on a mental level. Recordings are capable of capturing exactly what happened, but they have been deemed unsafe. They are able to be measured and described, though.

Photographs of The Blue

The Blue describes itself as a conglomerate of multiple entities. This seems to be the case, as reported representations of it consist of millions upon millions of individuals. These entities also vary in personality and appearance.

Those on the outside of the Blue seem to be fairly hospitable, and have on record multiple times asked Wanderers if they "Needed a place to rest". If the Wanderer affirmed, they would be pulled into a small habitable pocket dimension. This dimension would often take the form of a small apartment. Exiting through any of the windows or doors will put one back in the Blue. Photographic and video footage is capable of capturing this anomaly, suggesting that it is physical. 1 Further in and closer to Aellan, the individuals seem to continue to be good-natured, but take on a more curious approaoch.

In Aellan, the individuals seem to be verbally hostile.

Individuals do not have a set form, and change with the rest of the Blue. They have some control over their physical appearance, but do not stay in their preferred forms, which are groups of celestial bodies seeming to be far off in the distance. This seems to have been influenced by the lingering identity of the remains, as all of the 103 who have been picked up on drone footage seem to manifest in similar forms.

The denizens seem to be far above human levels of intelligence, however are benevolent. Other than that, their only consistent feature is the voice shared by each of them.

The dead, or "Him", has been referred to by the denizens and wanderers deep within the Blue. No information has been procured on who this is, other than the fact that He is always crying, and that He seems to have ties with Zalgo.

These series of logs contain the discovery of The Blue, renamed to Aellan exploration log.

<Aellan Exploration Journal, Entry 1>

Unidentified M.E.G. Personnel: I have arrived at the destination. This place seems to be a city, populated by humans. It's in a void, but not the kind that I entered from. Everything is blue, and it seems impossibly clear. I cannot see anything in the void. The people here seem withdrawn, scared of each other or maybe something else. It vaguely reminds me of Level 11, from what I can still remember of it, except the buildings are more broken down. It seems that the city is mirrored on itself, but the mirrored version is impossible to enter.

<Aellan Exploration Journal, Entry 2>

Unidentified M.E.G. Personnel: This city has a harbor, despite the lack of water. I'm noticing the buildings getting nicer as I travel a little bit closer to the center, but I have a bit of an issue. I can feel my memory and thoughts being changed the longer I stay here, I would like to request that we switch to the backup team or that I at least take a break outside of here. I feel like I'm going insane.

M.E.G. Headquarters: Negative on the request to switch to the backup team, we need more information on the area first and simply sending in more people won't help. Remember the calming exercises.

<Aellan Exploration Journal, Entry 3>

Unidentified M.E.G. Personnel: I don't remember anything, and I don't know how much time is passing. I'm realizing that both, knowledge and time, are useless constructions placed only on humanity. I can't comprehend nor describe what's happening right now, it seems that my perception of reality itself is changing constantly. I don't know what reality is supposed to be, or if it even exists, but I do know that this place seems to be a fragment of my abandoned mind.

M.E.G. Headquarters: What do you mean? We don't understand.

Important Discoveries

Outskirts Exploration Journal B, ENTRY 2 The stars started speaking to me a few minutes ago. I didn't understand what they said. They seemed to be asking me questions, but it sounded like the rain and it just blended in. I kept saying "yes", and I'm in an apartment building now. Everything seems to restock itself, it's like the Snackrooms. Computers with internet and everything, in case I didn't bring my own. Don't think I'll ever leave.

Full Survey Journal F, ENTRY 6 The lights in the distance are growing larger, and now I see Him. All of the stars were speaking of this, so I went a bit closer. From this distance, the light seems to be constantly reforming Himself into different arrangements of Orion, constantly crying light blossoming out in all directions. It hurts to look at.

Was taking refuge in this singular building, but a fissure opened up in the floor. Barely escaped with my life.
