Entity Number: 203

Habitat (s): Level ½

Entity 203, also known as ”The Cat”, is a neutral entity found in the Backrooms.

Description

The Cat is a neutral feline entity found travelling between levels, most commonly spotted in Level ½. At first, it appears as any normal cat from the Frontrooms, but will begin to show signs of human-level intelligence, as it is fluent in both the English and Aramaic language. At your first encounter with the entity, it will begin approaching toward you from the hallway of Level ½ and it will begin to have a conversation with you. It is seemingly friendly, and throughout the conversation, it will show no signs of aggression normally found in other felines. You may choose to ignore it, or continue speaking to it. If you continue to speak with the entity, there is a slight chance that it will offer you a reward that may assist you in your journey. Before accepting the item, you must keep in mind that you must have something rare to offer The Cat in return, something worth of a Cat’s Prize. If not, the entity will respond with “Leave, and never see me again.” It is unknown as to what will occur if one were to come across The Cat ever again, but there have been reports stating that those who have claimed to have spotted The Cat have been going missing, especially those who haven’t gotten far ahead in their journey.

Survival Guide

... The entity has human-level intelligence and interactions, and has no need to fend of against, unless in the unlikely situation that you get on its bad side. In the unlikely event that it occurs, there is no known way or method to survive the impending doom that is to come. Just don’t piss off a cat, okay? Other than that, just use your common sense and know what gestures can turn a cat off, as it is the only chance that you won’t get on its bad side. Oh yeah, and cats are afraid of water, and lack thumbs.

Level ½

The Cat is often reported to be seen roaming around the hallways of Level ½, and is said to pose no threat to the travellers staying in the level.
