Description

The Epilogue is what happens after The Beginning, Middle, and The End. It is said to take place 1 year after you died at the exact location of where you died. Because of this, it could be somewhere in the Backrooms. Unlike the Prologue, upon entering another location, you'll be transported to a grave with your name on it, indicating you were the one that died there. 97% of wanderers haven't gotten past this point, so it is highly recommended to avoid this level at all cost.

The Forest around the grave consists of nothing but lifeless leafless trees and one big mountain with a little cabin on it. The forest comes with multiple hungry Smilers and the one who caused your death, if a living thing did cause you to die. Allegedly, the one who caused your death would be controlling the Smilers, and what they do depends on what they would actually do in a situation like this.

Entities

Only Smilers have been found on this level, however there have been some unconfirmed reports of Entity 555 watching the whole thing from a cabin on a mountain. There have also been reports of the Entity of Level -188 standing atop the cabin.

Colonies and Outposts

Due to the nature of this level, Colonies and Outposts are infeasible.

Entrances and Exits

Entrances

  • No confirmed entrances exist. The only way that might work is messing with something important in The End.

Exits

  • Running for a very long time into the forest will bring you to The Frontrooms a year after you died. Despite this being an escape from the Backrooms, this is highly not recommended.
  • If you end up making it to the cabin, entering it will either bring you to Level -188 or an empty cabin with a computer that will lead you to The End when interacted with.
  • If you go to the place you were born after getting to the Frontrooms via this level, it'll bring you to The Beginning.
