(When winning or not gambling)
(When losing)
Description
A drawing of a gambler in it’s true form with a crow head.
The Gamblers are entities that exclusively reside in Level 2 (Altrooms) and it's sub-levels. When in a passive state, Gamblers appear as ordinary, middle aged humans who are seemingly obsessed with gambling.
These entities always have a 75% chance of winning any casino games they play, as well as any card games or games of chance that involve gambling. They will often challenge Wanderers to card games, and if they win, any money or valuables you possess will instantly vanish, presumably taken by the Gambler. If a Gambler loses a game however, they will enter a hostile state in which they are filled with an uncontrollable rage and transformed into their true form.
Secondary Form
After losing a casino game, Gamblers reveal their true form as they go into a fit of rage, twisting and turning and growling in pain from the transformation. Their bodies will double in size and their skin will ripple with newfound musculature capable of tearing a man apart. Most bizarre of all, blood will begin to drip from their eyes and mouths as their heads are contorted into the shape of an animal. Examples of these animalistic gambler heads include:
- A Rat Head
- A Crow Head
- A Pig Head
- A Dog Head
- A Chimpanzee Head
- A Baboon Head
- A Bull Head
Once in a hostile state, these entities will attack anything and everything around them, barely even distinguishing between living and non living targets during their assault. They will charge at walls, destroy slot machines and attack wanderers and anything else that stands in the way of their blind fury. The only things that will attract the attention of a Gambler in this state will be tokens, poker chips, and especially cash money, which it will immediately charge towards and take it by force before devouring it like a ravenous animal. Once a Gambler has fed upon enough money, roughly 10,000 $ worth of cash, it will revert to its passive state and behave as though nothing even happened.
Discovery
This entity was discovered when an unknown wanderer found one next to a poker table. The wanderer is assumed to be dead.
