Entity Hazard: Class 3
》Entity Number: 10
》Habitat: Level 2

This entity will only manifest to those who are children, pregnant, or those who look for the good in everyone, easily forgive, and care for other people more than themselves. It is believed these entities will watch their target for a period of time before fully revealing themselves to who they've deemed worthy of their attention. Once the Guardian has gained your trust and you their trust, will accompany you through Level 2, keeping you out of harm's way. The Guardian does understand speech but cannot itself speak, therefore if it wanted to get your attention, it would walk towards you until it reached your line of sight.

Many who encounter this entity describe it as some kind of guardian angel, or perhaps a past traveler who had certain morals who developed them into this world after suffering a certain fate.

The Guardian is not hostile towards Wanderers or Facelings, and will remain benign unless provoked, or if the person they are guarding is put in danger. If an entity who tried to attack it were to try and flee, The Guardian will follow after them (with or without their chosen person to guard) in order to smite the entity so it won't pose as a threat again. If you provoke or threaten The Guardian or it's chosen being, run as fast as you can and try to find another exit out of level 2, as this entity will not back down.

The Guardian is believed to kill its victims in a number of ways, including:

  • Strangling
  • Trampling
  • Crushing
  • Slashing
  • Dismemberment
  • Chasing to the point of collapse

Some reports claim that The Guardian wields a "sword of light", but this hasn't been truly confirmed.

The Guardians primary goal is to guide who they are protecting possibly out of the backrooms, back into their original location, or out of level 2. It seems as if The Guardian doesn't want other to suffer the same fate as they have and this is why they haven't left the backrooms themselves. Or maybe this entity can't leave level 2?

The entity is said to look like a physically fit man wearing what appears to be the helmet of a knight(?) and is radiating a whitish yellow hue.

Maddel: "He deadass said he's a glowstick"

The Guardian alerted by something off-screen

Relations and Alliances:

Brussel Maddel: When he isn't protecting people, he's keeping an eye on Brussel making sure she doesn't get into trouble. Some describe their relationship either as a some what father-daughter relationship, sensible sibling w/ chaotic sibling, or a poor dude trying to keep an energetic dog from accidentally hurting itself. It's not entirely known why The Guardian keeps watch over this short and immature female human but there is obviously some reliability or trust between the two.

Crimson Wanderer: Sometimes seen with the Guardian, either in battle or in a friendly conversation. The Guardian respects the Crimson Wanderer as a ally, friend, and as a knight of sorts. If The Guardian ever doubts his skill in battle, he will attempt to call the Crimson Wanderer for back-up. This pair are a force not to be reckoned with as they are both strategic and powerful entities.

?Puppies?: He doesn't really mind them, in fact sometimes he's seen with a couple curious young ?Puppies? following him as if they were ducklings. If a Red ?Puppy? needed some extra strength, he'll pitch in with little effort needed. Blue ?Puppy? too lazy to get up on its legs? Nudges and rolls it over. He is amused by these entities (not so much by Sludge ?Puppies?, he finds their mischievous pranks insensitive) and protects them as if they were defenseless animals.

Death Moths: He's neutral towards them. The moths seem to love him though due to the light he gives off. Some wanderers see him appear or walk down a hall with a few moths on him. He doesn't seem to mind though, probably cause he likes the attention.

Facelings: He tolerates them. He's allies with some, friendly with some, or just... neutral.

Partygoers: He rips and tears them on sight. He finds them annoying and can't stand them. If he hears upbeat childish music, he'll head towards the source. You'll know he's coming back if the music abruptly stops and you hear some crunching or bodily sounds.

Skin-Stealers: He's unsettled by them. He is hostile towards them but will study them at first, as if in thought. After slaying a Skin-Stealer, he will stand at it's corpse, staring at it, with his light growing dimmer and dimmer. At some point he does get back on his motive and leaves his kill behind.

Smilers: He tries to ignore them. But if one is to jump at him, he'll slap it out of the air. Since the force he uses to slap them is enough knock them out or leave them winded, he leaves them alone.[1]

Entity 8000: He see's these little soldier entities as allies, no matter the variant/type they are. He's open to helping them and will sometimes be seen with these entities aiding him in combat. Since these entities sometimes resemble what he looks like on some levels, he grows attached and will take devastating attacks that were targeted towards Entity/Entities 8000 due to their small but knightly physique. But don't worry, it will take A LOT to entirely kill the Guardian.

Server Drones/hotspots:This is a rare event to come across but when it happens when he is guarding a wanderer that it attacks there is a 50/50 chance of him winning the fight and managing to dismantle or driving away the drone and the other 50 is that the drone defeats or outsmarts him and kills said wanderer he was protecting.

The Conductor: Doesn't really mind him. Although he has many questions he wishes to be answered, he lacks the ability of verbal communication. The Guardian is especially protective over them due to their child like appearance. If even a passive aggressive comment is made against The Conductor, prepare to be given the cold metallic stare or a swift blow to the chest, depending on how rude the comment was. When asking The Guardian on his opinion of The Conductor, he gives off little rattling taps that some have interpreted as laughter. So overall, he likes them.
