The Hometown
Description
The Hometown is more of an alternate reality sort of similar to The Backrooms, however the way how it was created is unknown. Many say that this reality is made to ease your mind from The Backrooms and that they represent your "Home" but the rumors are not always true. Let's say that you are lucky to be here... you can trust me.
Level 0: "Small Suburb"
Level 0 is the 1st level of the Hometown.
Description
Photo taken by an unknown photographer, you would recognize your own home right?
This level is similar to your home, in fact it has ability to make you think that you belong here. This is the safest level you will find. Sit down, relax or move on and explore our WONDERFUL world. There is no reason to leave and if it was why would you leave your own home? It does not make any sense does it? If you want, I can be your guide but I am sure you can explore by yourself.
As you can see this level has some sort of suburb-like look, kind of like a town. Not all houses are the same and they are all free since almost no one lives inside them. You belong here my dear friend, you came here with a reason right? No one made you come here.
There are two ways. Each of them leads to other levels. I am not forcing you to go.. I am just giving you a reason to move on. After all your home is just a small suburb right? Why would you stay here since it's not even interesting or entertaining. Living here is a little boring but you can talk to other explorers here!
Colonies and Outposts
Well... you are here, I am here as well. Lets say that it's only you here! And other explorers.. but they aren't that important are they?
Entrances
- Find a house that reminds you of your home in Level 11 and simply enter it (main and only way how to get to The Hometown)
- Break the country rules and The United will banish you out, next thing you know is that you're either going to Level 0 or 2
- Get back from any level you entered
- There is 10 routes not equally split on left and right road, every route leads to a level depending on which one you choose.
Exits
- Either go left or right way and you will find the reason to stay here. I recommend you going left since its more safe and stable
[FILE ERASED]
Level 1: "Nostalgic village"
Level 1 is the 2nd level of the Hometown.
Description
Picture of this level taken by me. Like it?
This level isn't just a normal village. There are people here! Workers... villagers... guards... and you. This village can lead to many ways and houses with an unusual style that is still keeping you here. If you choose to stay here you can be a guard! Cool right? I mean who else is gonna protect innocent people from these rude entities?
This level has 3 districts. First one is core with entrances. Here are most villagers training to be guards. Second one is mid zone where workers and some villagers are and also a few guards. And last one being danger zone where all guards are at trying to protect abandoned houses from entities. Some workers in danger zones act like guards or even medics.
Also do not go too deep because there can be a few entities away from the core and start of this level. But it's nearly fully safe. If anyone you can trust me.
Colonies and Outposts
Workers
Just a usual workers, repair houses, vehicles and stuff... boring right? They sometimes help guards kill the entities but they don't really do anything. They can also act as medics or doctors. This type is mostly in a small village hospital.
Villagers
A casual citizen, mostly people who retire being a M.E.G. operatives. They now live freely and happily. They can also choose what they wanna be but why would they? Nobody is forcing them.
Guards
They protect workers and villagers from entities, there is not much of them at the core since there are little to no entities, Any villager can become a guard if they want!
Entities
The most common entities here are Hounds and Skin Stealers. In rare cases it's normal to see a Smiler.
Entrances
- Go left way and go to the first right way you see at the Level 0, travel further and you will get here.
- Finding a suburb-village will lead you to Level 1 if you follow that route in Sublevel 4.5
Exits
- Go back to where you entered
Level 2: "Danger Forest"
Level 2 is the 3rd level of The Hometown.
Description
Picture of a forest if you go deep enough
This level represents a large forest like area around a small road leading to an odd house. The road is sort of damaged but you can still walk on it without any problem. The air also seems to be sort of filled with smoke. Right here the sun does not appear but day night shift still happens somehow, it's still a mystery how it happens and why. Do not attempt to leave the road and go to forest because it's infested with entities and has no security at all. It can also give you a feeling of fear and paranoia.
The road will lead you to a some sort of yard with house and small grey car. The house looks old and damaged on the outside but on the inside it looks good, nice and habitable. That is the most modern house you will ever be in! I recommend you staying in car or house because of entities. Also keep in mind that the car is old and you cannot drive with it. Kind of lame right? Anyways, the house and car can sometimes trick you. For an example the windows can show you that it's day but it's actually night. It can also show peaceful yard without entities but it actually being infested with entities. Whatever you do don't trust the house and stay inside. You can rely on clock, Also house decoration and look changes every 12 hours which is weird but lets not question it. The car still stays the same but changes location every 24 hours unless you are inside it.
The day night shift happens here normally. The entities attack mostly during night but do not be surprised if you see them during day. Also you will find weapons inside house but they won't do any damage on entities since they are a little bit buffed on this level. Lets just focus on your goal to wait till day and then escape this level.
Colonies and Outposts
Due to nature of this level colonies and outposts are not able to be made.
Entities
During day
During night
- Skin-stealers
- Smilers
- Hounds (sometimes)
- Facelings
- Death Rats
- Dullers
Entrances
- Find a grassy way filled with some trees on your first left and continue going to that route in Level 0
- Break the country rules and The United will banish you out, next thing you know is that you're either going to Level 0 or 2
Exits
- Go back to where you entered
- There is small chance that you will survive the forest and find a field leading to Level 3
Level 3: "Peaceful Field"
Level 3 is the 4th level of The Hometown.
Description
Picture of a fog going towards a group of explorers near the first country
This level represents sort of weird field area continuing for approximately 100 kilometers or even less. Nature in this level is very weird. For an example, it can rain only on one spot, direction or place. It can flood but not affect houses or damaging anything. And earthquakes can happen but they damage the air and not buildings or humans, people here call it an ''air-quakes''. Also lots of people reported a fog that appears out of nowhere and if you travel right in front of it for too long you will disappear, but where? Probably the deepest parts of the field.
Field area is split into 5 countries which are basically just a colonies but they call it countries here. First country and Second country work together and they make food, weapons and fix houses if needed. Not for away from there there is third country where people heal the injured and do experiments on dead entity corpses because they believe that their body is a ''cure to humans''. Fourth country is around other 3 countries and they are basically an outpost full of people protecting the 3 countries. Also there is fifth country that used to build houses but then they decided to join and create large bandit colony that would raid and destroy bases of the other 4 countries, most of them are dead by now but there is still some left roaming around so, yeah.
Entities also used to be here but as soon as people got to this level they formed 5 united countries and decided to hunt them down leaving level 3 devoid of entities. But third country still keeps their corpses as a ''experiment'' or just use them for research.
Colonies and Outposts
Food workers
Just a weak people who do nothing except create food for the countries to keep peace.
Weapon workers
Same as food workers but they make weapons. By weapons I mean any type.
Surgeons
Weird looking doctors who heal injured people and experiment on entity corpses. Weird.
Peacekeepers of the United
Basically a large outpost full of educated, strong and armored people who protect 4 united countries. They are hostile to bandits and will let outsiders pass as long as they do not become bandits.
Bandits of the Field
Small outpost full of bandit colony who ambush and kill anyone on the fields who is not with them. Some of them sneak into the country and poison food, once they nearly started a war between The United. Their leader is unknown and ruthless, he will kill outsiders for fun and sometimes let them go or let them join the bandits. Really messed up.
Entrances
- There is small chance that you will survive the forest and find a field leading to Level 3 in Level 2
- Find a grassy route on the second left path in Level 0
Exits
- Go back to where you entered
- Break the country rules and The United will banish you out, next thing you know is that you're either going to Level 0 or 2
- Some say that the fog takes you to Level 5 but lets NOT trust anyone, who knows
- You may find a small town, continue going there and you will find yourself in Level 4
Level 4: "Familiar Town"
Level 4 is the 5th level of The Hometown.
Description
Picture taken by a town photographers. Fate is unknown (probably alive)
After a while you finally found a safe level, I told you that you can trust me! After all I'm your friend right? Anyways we will chat later, lets just focus on a level... This level represents not really small but approximately 10kmth large town, kind of like a suburb but not. Since its devoid of entities lots of people come here and make their own houses. Nature here seems to be normal unlike in the other main levels. I mean you know what your house and town look like, right?
Town in this level has lots of theatres, cafes, hotels and many more. I recommend you trying grill from "Jacks Special Restaurant". That guy is cool.. he has been working here for like 30 years. He is also one of the originals, we noclipped at the sa- I mean he noclipped with his friend who currently moved to Sub-level 4.5 which is just a small village, but hey! it's his choice. Also houses here are free, except food. You need to have the money which you earn by working here. Also there is a skatepark incase teenagers noclip and get here. Well it's kind of boring here but it is a place where you would wanna stay based on my exper- I mean based on peoples experience.
There are also rules just like in Level 3 or real life. If you do not follow them you get jailed by the town guards. I never loved them.. I mean who does? They think they have rights to do what they want.. They also do not intend to let people from Level 4.5 go to them, that is why they have large gates keeping them away because they do not want rebels and criminals here and Level 4.5 can make it happen apparently.
Colonies and Outposts
Jacks Special Restaurant
Basically a restaurant but with people who inside of them building. Because of its specialty and the most famous food center they made it a Colony with about 20 people.
Law Reinforcement Team
Just a small police team who watch over city and are prepared incase entity infestation happens. They also have rules that many people follow but what is the reason? I mean we are tr- I mean you are trapped here anyway.
Trading department
They are willing to trade and hire you. It is the most famous workplace, they also make weapons and values of items. And the large museum near skatepark is theirs. They keep rare things they got from The Backrooms there.
Villagers
You and anyone who works or retires. I mean the name says it all why do I need to explain it?
Entrances
- Find a small town inside Level 3 and continue going to it
- Find a small town around the road in Level 0 on the second route right way, Level 4 is on the left part of the road
Exits
- Find a smaller town that looks like village a leads to Level 4.5
- Go back to where you entered
- Finding a larger and more populated city inside this Level and following it will lead to level 6
Level 4.5: "Beloved Village"
Level 4.5 is the sublevel of Level 4.
Description
Picture a photographer took before his demise..
Kind of like Level 4 but its a small village, it does not have theatres, museums and stuff but has one of the most famous gas stations. Many people from other levels come here mostly for exploring or to take fuel. Only thing that makes traveling here a problem are rebels and criminals. They decided to split and trash smaller part of Level 4 which later became Sublevel 4.5 but it's still a part of it. They also wanted to make it another level but it was not possible since Levels cannot be generated by a free will of wanderers, they are stupid right? But not when it comes to combat.
Not much people live here because they all fear the criminals, some also work with corrupt police and get weapons from them. If you are unfortunate enough they will kill you or just let you go if desperate enough. They mostly recruit people from Level 4 but it is hard since Sublevel 4.5 is split and away from level 4 making it harder. I recommend you not going near them.
Village of this level is also kind of like Level 3 and 1 combined. It has classic design since this and Level 4 have been discovered first. Later on they discovered other parts of The Hometown and honestly they should just move on like I to- I mean like they are told. This sublevel is also located on the right route while Level 4 is on the left one.
Colonies and Outposts
Villagers
Do I even need to explain?
Rebels of Level 4
I just told you, only thing I can add is that their leader got killed and they got a little less aggressive after that but they still hate Level 4.
Spies
They are disguised people mostly from Law Reinforcement Team. They kill Rebels during night if they do not wanna resist. They seem to be doing really good job except the part when they die.. but hey! At least it's for a reason.
Entrances
- Find a smaller town that looks like a village leads to Level 4.5
Exits
- Go back to where you entered (if possible)
- Finding a suburb-village will lead you to Level 1 if you continue going that way
Level 5: "Futuristic View"
> Find Files
1 Missing File Found.
Welcome again, Gary.
So it seems that you somehow bypassed the deletion of Level 5. I must say that this one is the most unstable one. A little too much... It even melts and deletes any information about it except how it looks. Well since I can't even show you image and description of this level let me tell you how it looks. Well first of you start following a normal road with some houses around it. Then you will find a large bridge leading to unknown and see a wonderful view away from you on your left. A beautiful futuristic town with nice houses and river around that city. Only thing that is off is that sun is replaced by a glowing metal ba- umm.. I think I said too much. Well, better not tell you anything or we might be in a trouble. Only thing i can add is that there is an outpost who researches this level but it just isn't working.
Oh and to enter here simply go on your left way and follow the last left route in Level 0. And to exit just continue going to the bridge and you will later notice that you are back in Level 0 somehow. Totally not weird.
Level 6: "Core of The Hometown"
