[NOTE: This is a WIP and will be finished in due time] Welcome to the Independent Secrets Inquiry Company, or simply ISI. While we do not welcome most members into the group, our goal is to share information, so feel free to visit any of our known archives.

Description

Here at the ISI we have one goal: to gain, compartmentalize, and archive as much knowledge on secret levels and entities as we can before distributing our knowledge to the public Backrooms for the sake of greater safety and understanding of our own environment. Despite our small size we have quite the amount of resources from our glitches, tricks, and cunning members idea's that lead to saved time and greater energy. Though our group is highly opposed to new members, that does not entail our nature. We are quite passive, willing to trade, talk, and interact with any other groups or factions that come our way. In the name of the better good we tend to stay neutral in most wars and our diverse members most often wish to pick neither side. While our total population number is approximately twenty seven, twenty of those members chose to remain inactive or seperate from the group's name. This is due to their independence and wandering, preferring to be obscure and unknown, and here at the ISI we respect our members, therefore the only names that shall be mentioned here are the diplomatic figures in the ISI's society. Other than we are quite nomadic in nature, with very few posts set throughout the Backrooms. Forms of politics are also quite simple throughout the Company, taking a group manageable, partly anarchist approach. In the end, many member who are accepted into this party were hermitted adventures, as that is what founded the entire company.

Bases and Outposts

Moth Base - Level 0: This main base is the only one that has been revealed publicly before the ISI Co. released our information page. This where we do all of our public meetings and interaction with other groups and factions. It is relatively safe and keeps basic necessities. This base also functions as sleeping place for the nomadic people of ISI Co. or resting place in general. This is where much trade goes on. The actual base itself is a few closed off rooms in Level 0 centered around a noclip wall that sends you through a wall in The Hub under strange circumstances. This is one of our only bases because of our nomadic and small nature.

Nightjar Base - Level 4: This is the only other base than the Moth Base that has been confirmed by the original founders on maps and by themselves. Others likely exist, however they are not recognized as apart of the ISI's assignments and projects and are considered independent from the ISI Company, even if the members are exclusive in the sense all persons involved associate with the ISI. The Nightjar Base is, in essence, the smaller form of the Moth Base. It is significantly more ambiguous in structure, however. In most maps it is confined to two or three 'rooms' that the ISI tends to group in. Mattresses, chairs, desks and books are piled in these rooms to assist with the 'conference meetings' that are common throughout the ISI to help the members regroup, archive, and distribute necessary resources to continue exploring odd, secret, and anomalous levels. This base is much more meant as a meeting point than anything with one or two people working there at all times.

The Junkyard Outpost: The Junkyard Outpost is the newest outpost and smallest. It is currently a work in progress as the clearing process of the floor is necessary. It will have the primary function of testing and recording information about the level. Currently there is only one group positioned at this Outpost and despite the many attempts there has been no successful noclips into this the Junkyard. Currently all records on the Junkyard, other than the information page, are at this outpost.

Level 9b Outpost: This outpost is positioned for the sole purpose of discovering more about the Level and bypassing the short term amnesia that features in the level. In appearance it is a simple stand with filing cabinets on the two sides of a desk. It is positioned in a driveway and stores most of the information known about this level in the original records, copies are made and stored at the Nightjar base.
