Description

The only known image of The Metro.

The Metro is a recently found Level that you can access by getting on a train and wait for the next station to arrive. The Metro is extremely peaceful and holds a base owned by no one, and no one will own the metro, never.

The entrance to The Metro are random places that should have a train-station in reality, but as the backroom is a messed-up version of reality itself, the entrance can be practically anywhere. The exits are random but the paths are stationary, making it mappable. The Metro can be mapped and goes in this order:

More info

The Metro itself is very usefull from travelling between the backrooms, it serves as an important transportation method for the people that is trapped, there could be theory that states the following:

The Metro, a place where you could visit, but the stops are random, no one knows how the metro works, some believe that the metro works as the same way as a normal metro, or, The Metro could be a train transporting the people from various locations of the real world, maybe, one day, we could use this as an exit from this hell, just we wait that day to happen.

(Note: All Levels that require a specific Condition (except Level 913) are marked on the route map as limited service stops)

There is a story going around of an entity that is now nicknamed "The Conductor." It is theorized that the entity is the train-driver, however, in reality, conductor is not the train-driver.

Occasionally, after reaching The Metro, you may find a strange, dilapidated house from the Victorian era. Entering it will transport you into The Dark Metro, which is an older and more sinister version of The Metro.

There are 2 types of Trains found on the metro, (Official model name unknown) A trains and B trains.

A Trains

A Trains are older and appear as they were made in the 1970s and are found in consists of 1-6 cars. A Trains are comprised of 1 car or 2 car sets. B trains are newer and appear as they were made in the early 2000s and are found in consists of 2-6 cars.

B Trains

B Trains are comprised of 2 car and 3 car sets. Both types usually appear in a Red livery however they can occasionally be found in a Blue livery. Metro trains are maintained and stored on Level 913.

Entities:

(note, the two entities mentioned here are not to be confirmed to reside in the Metro yet.)

The Conductor

  • An entity that is just recently discovered, it is unique as it is the only entity type of its own and is very sentient and intelligent, most frequently appearing in The Metro.
  • "The Conductor" Appears as a male humanoid child approximately age about 10~12 years old. It wears a navy-blue conductor uniform, it is highly Intelligent and will often speak with people aboard the Train, it can also answer questions, however asking certain questions like "Who made the backrooms?" or "What are the backrooms" will not be answered, presumably to not reveal any of the inner workings of the Backrooms. Asking to leave the backrooms is replied with a phrase similar to "Sorry, but that's just not possible."
  • It is not advised to physically engage combat with "The Conductor" as it has unnatural strength and agility, as well as a silver blade that can slice through people like butter.
  • It is theorized that the conductor can control both the Metro Train and the Metro cameras, however, this has not yet been confirmed.
  • The conductor is said to have encounters with the "TOTALLY NORMAL STEAM TRAINS MADE BY THOMAS NAST" entities, all resulting in it having a near-death because he is most interested in Steam locomotives.

"TOTALLY NORMAL STEAM TRAINS MADE BY THOMAS NAST"

Yes, this is the actual name of these entities. One way-too-enthustastic explorer name them this. (Could they have been a foamer?) These are also nicknamed as "A Foamer and Railfan's nightmare." These entites resemble American steam engines that worked in the early 1900s. They are said to be found in all of the metro levels. They are not common, but can appear when least expected. Most of these entities resemble class steam engines such as Southern Pacific GS-4s, NYC Mohawks, NYC Hudsons, Union Pacific Big Boys, Challangers, and the entire FEF class. They have the ability to disguise themselves as normal locmotives that work. If you see these in the metro levels, DO NOT GO TOWARDS THEM OR GET YOUR CAMERA TO FILM THEM!! INSTEAD, RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN, OTHERWISE, TAKE A METRO TO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! Once their victim gets close enough, the locomotive will shape-shift into a beast. In their true form, they have centipiede legs from the boilers, grow claws near the smokebox, and their smokebox handles open up into a mouth filled with rows of sharp teeth, seeming to resemble Thomas Nast's political cartoon potraying a steam locmotive as a monster. They will then tear their victim apart, and eat them. The most disturbing part is the fact that these entities suck the blood out of their victims, and store it in their boilers as if it was water. Yes, these entites act as normal locmotives, even in their monster form. In fact, every single human organ in the body is used for a energy source to power the creature's body, and well... keep it alive. (Strange and disgusting, I know.) It is said that visible and legit steam come out from its parts. If it runs out of blood, the monster wouldn't be able to move, and therefore, would die. This may be the explaination why there are pale bodies on some tracks of the metro levels, but it still is a ponder to others. The monsters share accurate whistles to their real life counter parts as well. These monsters are seperated into classes, the tank engines are the least violent, and the UP Big boys and Challangers are considered to be the most violent, as they have the biggest boilers, and therefore, require the most blood. It is even speculated that the tank engine ones are tamable, but hasn't been confirmed and has very little proof to be backed up with. (I mean, who would want that thing as a "pet," anyway? I guess foamers and railfinners are really weird af people.)

If you see one:

DO:

Move away in the opposite direction if you see one.

Don't go near it.

Try to avoid any steam train you see on the tracks at all costs. It may be a hard thing to resist for you formers, but it's worth it for your life. If you want to live it, that is.

Take a metro train to get as far away from these creatures as possible.

Stay away from the stations in the metro where things look very dirty or old/fragile, as it is where these creatures are most commonly found.

DO NOT:

At ANY case, climb in the creature's cab, you and your body will be instantly absorbed into the creatures, err... "organs," and be used as a power source to keep it alive and running.

Take photos or videos of it. Flashing lights intstantly trigger the creature, and it will its true form and kill you in a matter of seconds.

Go near the creatures.

Throw items at the creatures.

Masterbait on the creatures. (Yes, people have actually done this before. Needless to say they all had endings of being turned into steam for the creatures.)

Try to tame it. Who tf even wants to make a machine their pet anyway (again).

Try to make a "TTTE" episode with those creatures or some other bollocks.
