Entity 0001 - The Moon

Photographer unknown.

Description

The Moon appears in some levels in the sky. You can tell it apart from the non-entity moons by how strong it glows. This entity will glow roughly 3-4x as bright as the non-entity moon. It is much more dangerous than the normal moon, due to the various stages it goes through. It will change stages/colours every night (or 12 hours if the level is always night).

White Phase

No special changes have been noted. The moon is safe to look at.

Blue Phase

Is the most common anomalous phase. Looking at the moon for more than 30 seconds gives a feeling of discomfort, increasing the longer you stare at it.

Purple Phase

This is roughly 3x as rare as the blue phase. Looking at the moon for more than 30 seconds makes the viewer feeling drowsy. More than 90 seconds will result in the viewer going unconscious.

Red Phase

Around 2x as rare as the purple phase. Viewing the moon for more than 60 seconds during this stage brings you to [UPCOMING LEVEL].

Black Phase

Slightly more rare than the red phase. The moon is much less bright than normal, which can result in more entities appearing.

Orange Phase

The rarest anomalous phase. Results in a loud ringing when staring at the moon for more than 5 seconds. Staring at it for more than 30 seconds will result in death.

Occasionally in other levels, other phases may be noted (Yellow and green were noted on levels [UPCOMING LEVEL] and [UPCOMING LEVEL] respectively)

Do's:

Take photos of the moon if you cannot safely verify what stage it is in (It is safe to view photos of it)

Use the light of the shadows to determine what stage the moon it is in

Wear sunglasses (will give you around an additional 20 seconds before effects begin) while going into a level with this entity.

Don'ts:

Stare at the moon for too long (in general)

Go into a level with the moon entity unprepared

Stare at any unverified level's moon for an extended period of time

Do not, under any circumstance, look at the moon while a lunar/solar eclipse is happening.
