If you get lost in a corrupt world, you may noclip into the Nilrooms, where all you can see is the glitchy floor and walls, with that sound of static, with those strange black entities. Reality here has many dents. Nothing has a property here, everything is nil. Not even humans can interact, as they have been set... to nil.
Don't touch the glitches. Don't touch the glitches. Don't touch the glitches.
Or you will get set to NIL
Contents
Idea
If you haven't understood yet, the idea of the Nilrooms is that things are set to "nil", which is a term used in computer programming which means 0 or nothing. Glitches are formed when patches of the level are set to nil, meaning they simply don't exist. They are dents in "reality".
Additional Info
- Growing more paranoid in the Nilrooms will make glitches more common.
- Other humans can't be seen here.
- Any backrooms items that you brought with you into the Nilrooms that give you positive effects don't work here. Only items that are found within give you the effects.
- Difficulties aren't ranked by secureness here, but by corruption.
- Glitches can't be photographed here.
Entities
Entity ⚠1: "The Static"
Entity ⚠1 cannot be seen. This entity is on every level of the Nilrooms, sitting in the background, ripping wanderer's minds apart. The static is simply the sound of the background radiation. No, your ears aren't ringing, this is everywhere. This entity drains people's sanity and makes people paranoid. This entity only doesn't work in special rooms. Even if you are wearing headphones, you can't escape this entity.
Entity ⚠2: "The Dark One"
Entity ⚠2 looks like a transparent black humanoid figure with no fingers or toes. Cameras can't photograph them for an unknown reason. They are harmless unless you threaten them. When threatened, they will quickly dash toward you. When they reach you they will hold you and then you'll slowly get swallowed into their bodies. It is thought that when this happens, you'll get sent to the horrible place of NIL. In levels that have Class -4 and up, these figures will turn glitched. Their bodies will turn into an array of static and they become very fast.
Entity ⚠3: "The Corrupt Shadow"
Entity ⚠3 has no real body, only a shadow. These entities can't detect you and move around in random directions. The shadow looks different depending on your sanity. The more insane you are, the bigger they are, while if you are completely sane, they only look like a small stick figure. Touching these entities when you are sane will simply bring you to Level ⚠0. However, touching them when you are insane will send you to the horrific place of NIL.
Entity ⚠4: "The Floorkeeper"
Entity ⚠4 is a grey blob of an unknown substance. It hides underneath loose parts of floors, waiting for someone to pass. When it detects movement, it jumps onto the floor and grabs the entity/person, dragging them into the hole they were just in. They also steal all of your supplies, leaving you with nothing. Then they close it up and sit on the loose part, causing the entity/person to not be able to escape, as this entity is immovable. If you see a part of floor that seems off or a little discolored from the rest, avoid it, as this entity probably lives underneath. Sometimes holes can have glitches, which means you would be forced to touch them.
Normal Levels
These levels are the normal Nilrooms levels. They are the safest of all of the level varieties.
Level ⚠0
Level ⚠0 is the 1st level of the Nilrooms.
Description
The first level of the Nilrooms.
Level ⚠0 is one of the least corrupt levels of the Nilrooms. It consists of infinite rows of repeating patterns of rooms and hallways with fluorescent lights. The walls and floors are cracked and dirty and no supplies can be found here. Occasional rusty doors can be found around, which will bring you to the next level. This level doesn't glitch much, although you can come across them, usually on the walls or floor. The temperature of this level is constantly at exactly the freezing point of liquids, which can make it hard to keep liquid from freezing. The Static is the only entity in this level, like a lot of safer Nilrooms levels.
Hallucinations can occur in this level, increasing the more paranoid you are. You may see occasional holes of static in the ceiling or black figures running toward you from far away. Keep reminding yourself that you are not going insane and that these are normal, and do not get paranoid.
After a wanderer removed a light, a yellow fluid began leaking out. It seemed extremely acidic and hot. Soon after, all lights began leaking this, until they all burst, and it began rushing in. He managed to contact M.E.G. about this before he died from it. Scientists think it might be all of the liquid ever thrown away put into one giant reservoir. This suggests there might be more to this level than what meets the eye.

Entrances
- Get lost in a corrupt world and noclip into a glitch to be sent here.
- Re-enter a rusty door in level ⚠1 to get sent back here.
Exits
- Find a rusty door to go to Level ⚠1.
Level ⚠1
Level ⚠1 is the 2nd level of the Nilrooms.
Description
An image of Level ⚠1, with a rusty door and an exit staircase on the left.
Level ⚠1 consists of an infinite spiralling staircase lined with bright lights and small dark rooms spurring from it. The rusty doors you used to get here are in the middle of the staircase. This level sometimes has food and Almond Water in some of the dark rooms, but they also sometimes have entities. The staircase portion is the only part in this level without entities. Glitches can occur on random steps of the staircase, so you'll have to avoid those steps. If impossible, wait for the glitches to end. Glitches can also very rarely occur in the dark rooms, so be extra careful. You may find uncommon staircases that are separate from the main one. Following them down will lead to the next level. This level has the first appearance of Nilrooms entities. The Dark One can be sometimes found in the dark rooms, so just don't pull any weapons out in the rooms and you'll be fine.
The higher you go on the staircase, the warmer it gets. The opposite happens when you go lower. If you follow the staircase up for long enough it will eventually be too glitchy to continue. If you follow the staircase down for long enough, the staircase will begin to straighten. This marks an entrance to it's sublevel, Level ⚠1.2.
The dark rooms aren't the only rooms here, however. Sometimes there are rare doors that are marked with the text "Break Room". These doors lead to special rooms with some couches, chairs, bright lights, and vending machines that supply food and Almond Water. These rooms have a lot of food and no entities. Being in these rooms for 5 minutes will stop you from going insane and reduce paranoia. It is very relaxing.
Entrances and Exits
Entrances
- Enter a rusty door on Level ⚠0.
Exits
- Follow a separate staircase down for about half a mile. It'll slowly turn into Level ⚠2.
- Re-entering a rusty door will send you back to Level ⚠0.
- Following the spiralling staircase down for long enough will eventually turn into Level ⚠1.2.
Level ⚠1.2
Level ⚠1.2 is a sublevel of Level ⚠1.
Description
The first place you enter when you step in Level ⚠1.2.
When you first enter this level, the staircase will end, dropping you off in a dark, wide hallway with glitched walls and a hardwood floor. Any attempt to go back up the staircase will result in being stuck in this sublevel by glitches. These walls are the only glitches in this level, so as long as you don't touch the walls or become very paranoid you'll be good. If you do become paranoid, the glitches can seep onto the floor, making it even harder to avoid them. At the end of the starting hallway will begin a series of rooms. Each room will lead into a different one. It can become an issue, though, as you get deeper into this level. The rooms slowly become smaller and smaller until eventually they are only a few square meters big. The deeper you are in this line of rooms, the higher the chance there is for supplies to spawn. The Corrupt Shadow and Smilers can be in swarms in these rooms. They are the biggest challenge to this level, as the rooms get smaller the entity count doesn't. There are no lights in this level, so it is advised to not come here until you have a light source. If you do have one, and have good weapons, then this sublevel is a way to skip a few levels. However, this level is still very dangerous and it's not advised to come here at all.
This level has some strange properties. Sometimes rooms can noclip into each other and supplies can randomly float. This is probably due to glitches. Bringing any plant into this level will cause it to instantly die. Also, even though there is no light, you still have a shadow that is "the blackest black". If you try to "mine" the walls with a pickaxe, that piece of glitch will break, revealing stone behind it. If you keep mining for a few meters, eventually it'll lead to a different set of rooms, disconnected from everything else. This suggests that this level may be infinite in that direction.

Level ⚠2
Level ⚠2 is the 3rd level of the Nilrooms.
Description
A picture of a room with spilled Liquid Pain in Level ⚠2.
Level ⚠2 is an infinite abandoned hospital with equipment and beds from the 1960's. The beds' sheets, the peeling pieces of wallpaper, and the buttons on the equipment are glitched. There are no beneficial supplies in this level, as you can only find Liquid Pain on some of the tables in the rooms. The Dark Ones and The Corrupt Shadows roam the hospital, though aren't common enough to be a big problem. This is the first level in your journey that has windows. They show The Frontrooms outside, which may fool the wanderer into thinking they've almost escaped. In reality it's a trick, and any attempt to break the windows will result in you teleporting back to Level ⚠0.
Exits from this level are rare, usually taking 12 hours or so to find one. You can exit this level from finding a table with three bottles of Liquid Pain and then noclipping into the table. The three bottles signifies that the next level is very dangerous. However, since there are no good supplies in this level, you need to try to find the exit as soon as possible.
The hospital is made of many different rooms. There are large areas that represent ICUs that have many beds and stations with machines. One of the most common rooms is a room with a couple dangling lights and windows, with yellow walls and a single table. Another common room is a long room with several lights and windows with a line of beds. Other rooms can contain machinery, but remember not to touch the buttons on it. There are rare rooms that have colorful walls with toy animals and text that resembles a children's area.

Level ⚠3
Level ⚠3 is the 4th level of the Nilrooms.
Description
Level ⚠3 is the first level where a wanderer will see the power of nil. This level is made up of an infinite array of ladders and platforms in the void. Every other step on each ladder is bugged so you'll have to really watch your step here. Also, 80% of the platforms are completely bugged and inaccessible. Travel is in this level is extremely difficult, and the only supplies this level has is an occasional bottle of Almond Water on some of the islands. The Static can be heard extra-loud in this level, making people lose their sanity and grow paranoid faster than normal. Other entities have been spotted but they end up using the ladders and getting sent to NIL. You can exit this level by finding a trapdoor on an island. These aren't too rare normally, but the glitches make them harder to find.
Any attempts to photograph this place result in the camera literally disappearing. It's unknown where this camera goes to, but it's probably NIL. Also, when you jump off into the void, you'll actually spring back up to the place you just were standing. This isn't recommended to mess around with, though, since there can be glitches in the void itself. Hallucinations are natural in this level, and they act like they do in Level ⚠0, increasing as you get more paranoid. You may see white dragons flying around in the void or a figure running toward you on the ladders at fast speed. Remember to remind yourself these are fake.
A M.E.G. scientist brought a ladder themselves into this level. They tried to see what would happen if a manmade ladder led to a glitched island. Upon having contact with the island, the ladder proceeded to fling away at a high speed, narrowly missing the scientist. This shows that the glitches in this level are quite powerful to inanimate objects, so don't move around any ladders leading to a glitch.

Level ⚠4
Level ⚠4 is the 5th level of the Nilrooms.
Description
A dark cave pocket in Level ⚠4.
Level ⚠4 is a break for wanderers who are going through the Nilrooms. This level consists of a rocky cave illuminated by neon crystals growing out of the stone walls. Pools of strange liquid can be found around, and sometimes the liquid also drips from the ceiling. This strange liquid gives no effects when consumed, and doesn't even quench your thrist. The only glitches here are on some of the crystals, which will give them an appearance similar to TV Static. The Static in this level is quieter than normal, making this level give off a relaxing feeling. The stone that makes up the cave is indestructible; even high power bombs couldn't make a scratch in it. However, the crystals are very fragile. Once broken, they stop giving off light and turn into a white color.
Sometimes there are smaller pockets connected to the main cave. These pockets usually have much less crystals than normal and are the places that have the exits to this level. You can't stay in this level forever, unfortunately, because no supplies spawn here. The exits look like a bright red neon door, making them easy to spot. However, they aren't common and may take some time to find.
If you wander for long enough in this level you may find that all of the caves stop at a certain point. This level is very small for Nilrooms standards, being only 20 square miles. This makes this level actually mappable, and someone did attempt to map it, but they were never found again. This suggests there may be a dangerous pocket that leads to NIL or something, but nobody has really cared to find it.

Enigmatic Levels
These levels are dangerous and mysterious, made even worse with the glitches.
Level ⚠Opposite
Level ⚠Opposite is an enigmatic Level in the Nilrooms.
Description
Level ⚠Opposite looks different depending on what level you just came from. It takes the level itself, copies it, and then swaps the survival difficulty. For example, a Class 1 level would become Class 5, Class 2 would become Class 4, Class 3 would stay the same, and the same thing reversed. So basically this level could be good or bad. The way to get out from these opposite levels is the same way you came into them. Touching a glitch here is the only time in the Nilrooms where nothing will happen, presumably because it is opposite. Noclipping into a glitch will take you to NIL, however, so obviously don't do that.
Researching the corruptness in this level is rather difficult, as it seems that some areas are far more glitchy than others. Random things have random glitches, unlike most normal Nilrooms levels. There is no correlation to glitch density or anything else discovered yet. Glitch density changes all the time here, which just makes it even harder to find.
Level ⚠4
The first possible entrance to this level from Level ⚠4 wouldn't be good at all. That level is Class 1, so this level would be Class 5. Glitches are literally everywhere in this version, even in the dark spots, making it very hard to traverse. Swarms of Floorkeepers are waiting for you underneath the loose rocky soil, as well as Corrupt Shadows. This level is a death trap coming from that level.
(Will be edited further once more entrances to this level are discovered.)
