Description:

The first room in The Promised Land.

The Promised Land was formerly a mythic level until various expeditions confirmed its existence. If you enter it, you will be in a building with 300 floors, and 1000 compartments of a limited 30m² each. The lights are all pink and can be deactivated on or off at any time. Behind the windows are curtains that are noticeable in the darkness. When it's the day, the curtains will vanish and a floor somehow made of clouds will come across. On the clouds, there are strange-looking trees. The leaves of those trees are also made of some type of clouds. The fruits that the trees bear (that we will now call Cloud Trees) are nutritive. This level moreover has a day-night progression replicating that of The Frontrooms. This level previously had a war which resulted in it being dangerous. The conflict has ended making it safe again.

Rooms

Bedrooms

The Bedrooms are compartments each with 2 to 6 beds, each one of them possessing a limited PVC nightstand with a lamp and a large number of unspecified books.

Living Room

The living room is massive (at least 100m²). The living room contains at least 3 sofas, 4 tables with several fruits from The Frontrooms (such as bananas and apples), as well as 5 gaming consoles of unknown type connected to 5 flatscreen TVs in some of the living rooms. There may be a fireplace, but this is not ensured.

Kitchens

Kitchens possess various types of kitchen utensils (pan, oven utensils, plate knives, and all other assets essential to cook and eat).

Dining Room

You will always find a dining room next to a kitchen. It resembles a normal dining room from The Frontrooms, containing a 5-meter long pellucid table with 10 chairs.

Bathroom

Frequently found inside bedrooms. It resembles a typical bathroom from The Frontrooms in an upper-class household.

Infirmary

The Infirmary is a 30 m² room with various safes containing various kinds of Medication, First Aid Kits, and neon water bottles. A bench can also be found in this room, and it often has Almond Water on it.

Lounge

The lounge is a room where you can find bookshelves and a fridge with food that restocks every 1 hour. You can also find a high-end computer and a radio. It produces music and anyone who listens to that music experiences extreme happiness. This room occasionally is found following a kitchen.

The Shop

The shop is uncovered near the primary room of The Promised Land. It is an enormous mall complex where you can purchase anything for relatively tiny quantities of money. You may find a fake plant in the entrance of the room.

The Outside

The Outside isn’t a room but a location. It has pools, aqua parks, ice cream, shops, Cloud Trees, green grass, and much more. The Outside furthermore contains an extremely gorgeous panorama and terraces.

The Promised Arcade

Built entirely by us and our crew! You can find arcade games, but most of them don't exist in reality. You can enjoy and find some PartyPoopers playing with arcade machines or simply wandering around here. Most arcade machines have games that will bring a sense of relaxation and fun while playing said arcade games. As stated before, they are not from reality but the wanderers and entities who have played it reported them to be some "really cool games". This is one of the bases of the PartyPoopers. If you go too deep into Arcade you can find a room with computers. This room is full ofPartyPoopers and Gamefolk. The Partypoopers research the backrooms, while the Gamefolk keeps everything in order.

The Arcade Shop

This is a shop that was founded by the Partypoopers, however, it was bought by The Game Creators. This shop sells items made by the Partypoopers. There are two different sections. The one run by the Partypoopers sells "Very Berry Milk", milk that has a slight blueberry taste to it. They also have "cursed cigarettes", which have been known to create illusions of other levels. They also sell beer, blueberry juice, bread, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, and sausages. There have been rumors that they sell marshmallows, however, this rumor was disproven. The most important thing they have is "The Jar of Boredom". If you drink it, you will join the Partypoopers. Mostly Partypoopers buy items from the shop. The other side owned by Entity 555 sells various arcade and game-related objects. We might even let you in on our game!

The Night Club

The Night Club used to be a deserted area of the Promised Land until a faction of Glowfolk renovated it. It is similar to Level -150, except it's not endless. Bunches of Almond Water can be found in this room, along with the occasional Neon Water.

The Business Room

In this room, you can do work on various objects. It is the central basis of wealth in The Promised Land. The Business Room contains two sub-rooms, an office compartment, and a conference compartment, you may find office equipment in both. The Business Room is the commercial region for The Promised Land.

The Promised Resort

This location is the center of the region that was in the war in The Promised Land. After The Summer War, some soldiers declined to relinquish the level, so they inhabited the war zones. They work at hotels and spas to bring in additional travelers. Nowadays, The Promised Resort is a prosperous industry and still controlled by former soldiers.

Origins

The initial observation of The Promised Land was found in Level 0 during exploration by two people from The Backroom Colonists. They found a ripped partygoer mask in one of the rooms, and a sheet of paper with rather strange contents, containing the statement “The last of us are here!”, Followed by a presumed photo of The Promised Land. There was also a book called “The Promised Land”, which contains most of the knowledge we have about it. Shortly after the discovery of this level, the gossip of a heaven-like level spread across The Backrooms, primarily through The Hub. Numerous groups attempted to enter The Promised Land, but none of them succeeded. A common assumption about this level is that The Promised Land is connected to Level 777 by an entrance or that it may even be a sub-level of it. There may be updates for the excursions if one of them achieves uncovering something.

Entities

Several entities are found in The Promised Land.

Cloud Trees

Found in various areas of the Promised Land.

Storks

Mostly found outside. They will not turn into smoke when attacked.

Partypoopers

Nobody knows how the Partypoopers got to this level, not even them. They're found all around the level. They were thought to be extinct.

Glowfolk

They were led here by one of the White Glowfolk. From there, they've been helping with things around the Promised Land.

The Shepard of the Promised Land

Mostly found taking care of the Promised Land. Anyone who has attempted to damage the Promised Land was thrown into The Frontrooms by him.

Radios

Found in the Lounge and the Bathroom. Always playing peaceful music to help ensure wanderers and entities that they're in a safe level.

Gamefolk

Came along with the Game Creators. They help with the Promised Arcade.

Colonies and Outposts

The Backroom Colonists

The Backroom Colonists is a mega-group. While the organization of the Backroom Colonists usually pledges all service and equipment, the sub-groups create their own outposts. The group nowadays has outposts on access levels to this level and intending completely get access shortly.

Reliquae Outpost

This outpost's members are veterans from The Summer War. They try to prevent another war from happening.

The Entropy Alliance

This is a group formed by entities and a few wanderers. They are friendly but don't like trading. They're willing to help wanderers and entities who don't know where they are. They're located near the Promised Arcade. There are about 20 Partypoopers, 16 Glowfolk, and 11 Wanderers.

The Forgiven FOJ

The Forgiven FOJ is a tiny fraction of the Followers of Jerry that have somehow ended up in The Promised Land. The reason why they say that they are there is because Jerry forgave them for all their sins, although this probably isn't true. They are rarely found not wearing something related to Jerry.

They can be found in rooms with a blue light. Allegedly, they shift the light pigment to "claim" the room.

Entrances and Exits

Entrances

  • Entering a painting in Level 384. Nonetheless, the chance of this sending you here is so astronomically low that this can't be considered an entrance. The Conductor once told a wanderer that you can uncover a 15-meter-long and 10-meter tall staircase with a white door at the end that transfers you here. It can appear on any level, nevertheless, no staircase directing to The Promised Land has existed.
  • There is gossip that no-clipping into a pink lantern on the dance floor of Level -150 will send you here, but this has never been tried.
  • The Bowler in Level 1150 says he can send you here if you get a perfect game of bowling, but much like many other entrances, this is unconfirmed.
  • Go up the staircase at the horizon of Level !-!.
  • If you find a pink entrance in the place you go when you win, entering it will send you here.
  • On Level 865, sleeping has a very low chance of sending you here.
  • There's gossip that getting an achievement in the game sends you here.

Exits

  • You can get to a corridor labeled "Exit" on the floor. Go through that door during the day to enter The Frontrooms at the exact time you entered The Backrooms.
  • There is a glass door and windows that show you a city street with vehicles. Exit through the glass door to enter Level 1738.

Expeditions

Note: this section will be expanded as new excursions to The Promised Land take place.

The First excursion was given rise to by 4 people from The Republic of Level 153 in 2004. They had to quit after accidentally entering Level 1051 and no-clipped to Level 0 because, by extreme coincidence, the lanterns were on.

The second and third expeditions both failed with no data returning.

The fourth excursion was from 7 explorers from The Backroom Colonists group in 2021. The entire group suddenly vanished on Level 384 under suspicious circumstances.

The fifth excursion was done by 5 explorers from The Backroom Colonists group. They entered through a portrait in Level 384 and got the most evidence out of all missions thus far.

The sixth expedition was done by around 17 inhabitants from The Backroom Colonists organization living on Outpost Mahogany on Level 0. All the people managed to get to Level 18446744073709551616 and Outpost Blurro by via The Metro. Most of them no-clipped into this level and founded an outpost.
