???: Alright, give me a second. I opened a door labelled "EXIT TO REALITY (NOT A JOKE)" and all I got was this stupid empty room? Very funny. At least it's not dangerous.

The Room is just a regular room in the Backrooms. There is literally nothing in here. Trust me, I went inside here and found absolutely nothing.

Description

The Room is literally what I described it as — a 100m by 100m room. It's got white walls and a mahogany floor and barely anything else. You could try breaking down the walls or noclipping through the floor to find something, but you won't find anything. Trust me, I tried. Not only are the walls and floor indestructible and soundproof, there's literally nothing behind them. Curiously, it appears to be lit well despite having zero light sources. I'm not even going to bother with the "Special Properties" nonsense because it has none. This is literally just a regular room, and I don't see the point of this structure in the Backrooms.

This room is deemed to be too small to have any colonies or outposts.

  • I went through some stupid door in Level 18 labelled "EXIT TO REALITY (NOT A JOKE)" to get here.

  • Out the door you ente- Hey, it's locked. What gives?

Well, shit. Now I'm stuck here.

The Room is just a regular room in the Backrooms… except for the dozens of corpses on the floor.

Description

Okay, okay, where do I start? I don't even know anymore. I've been wandering in the Backrooms for nearly 5 years and have never seen a sight quite like this. I found some stupid door labelled "EXIT TO REALITY (NOT A JOKE)" and my stupid self decided to open it. I enter it and see just a regular room with white walls, mahogany floors, and bright lighting. Yet somehow, there's like 30 dead corpses lying on the ground. Jesus Christ, that's like the most corpses I've seen in one area, and I've been to hundreds of cemeteries. I don't even know how they all died here — there's nothing threatening about this level whatsoever. I might forward this information back to the M.E.G; maybe they can make some sense of this.

  • I found a door in Level 400 labelled "EXIT TO REALITY (NOT A JOKE)". I'm not sure if you actually want to go here though.

I'm an idiot. The door is locked. Of course it is.

M.E.G NOTICE:

We must make an important announcement; if any of you see a door labelled "EXIT TO REALITY (NOT A JOKE)", we suggest you not step through it. This door appears everywhere on random levels, but they all lead to the same location. The door locks itself from the inside, rendering anyone inside of the room permanently trapped.

We've already lost hundreds of wanderers to this stupid DOOR. Don't be like them. Failure to follow this notice would be the easiest way to win the Darwin Award and die a slow painful death.

The Room is a trap for wanderers, killing everyone who is STUPID enough to lock themselves inside it.

You see this door? Don't go through it.

DEAD BODY INFESTATION

Description

We've lost too many people. You're going to see some stupid door that says "EXIT TO REALITY (NOT A JOKE)" at some point during your Backrooms adventures. Sounds compelling, sounds persuasive, sounds like fun, right? NOPE. I suggest the moment you see this door to turn around and walk the other way. Actually, no. RUN the other way.

Good lord, the sheer amount of idiots who have ignored this warning, walked through that door, and subsequently died of starvation are too numerous to count. Every day, a new report, all too common nowadays, comes on the radio: "IDIOTIC WANDERER DIES TO THE ROOM". Seriously, how hard can it possibly be to just NOT enter The Room?

You walk into that place and see hundreds of corpses on the ground that died from the same mistake you're about to make right now, and your first instinct is like, "Yep, seems safe"? What are you, insane? I'm this close to just giving up and letting natural selection do its job.

Once that door closes, it CLOSES. It locks. You, the idiot, are trapped. And you, the idiot, are eventually going to die of starvation. Good luck getting out. No one can hear your screams — the room is soundproof. Don't try breaking or noclipping out — the room is indestructible. Don't try calling for help — electronics stop working in this place.

Actually, let me tell you my story. I'm walking around Level 11 enjoying my time after a good night's sleep. I see the door, see its intriguing label, and think, "Hey, that wasn't there before." So naturally, being the complete small-brained lunatic I am, I opened the fucking thing. First thing I see — hundreds of dead bodies. Thoughts raced through my head: "That's a lot of free supplies", "Hey, he's got Almond Water", or "This is just a prank, right?" I thought for a few moments, then realized I was about to walk into a room full of dead people. Clearly there must be something more to this room. Nope. Not today. I turned around and avoided that door for the rest of the day. It disappeared several minutes later, but not before some idiot came up to me and decided to enter the room himself.

Obviously, the door automatically closed and locked itself from the inside, and the poor traveler got locked inside the room. Luckily, I opened it so that he wouldn't die of starvation, but that's only because I saw his stupid ass go inside. Had I not seen anyone enter, man would've been trapped there forever. God, what a place.

Hopefully, nobody's dumb enough to attempt to set up a colony here. Knowing the collective IQ of the human population, some idiot's going to attempt it and subsequently die.

  • Well, you can go back through the door… if it’s open. Otherwise, congratulations on winning the Darwin Award. Your name will be immortalized in the Hall of Fame Shame.
