Level 3009 is the 3010st level of the Backrooms.

Description

An image of Level 3009 in a safe building.

Level 3009 ("Lurking Darkness") consists of a street with lampposts and sidewalk trees measuring 4.7 meters and a sidewalk measuring 4.1 meters, the entire street measuring 8.8. The time is at night and it is speculated to be around eleven to twelve o'clock at night, although this is not confirmed. There are buildings in the streets and sometimes there are houses, although the buildings seem to be safe many times they are full of Lurkers or Smilers, along with Death Moths, but in some cases, the building will only have Frowners and/or passive Facelings, although the times that these cases have occurred are four, and they were confirmed by wanderers.

The buildings inside will look normal, even though the lights are off. If the light is on, there is usually very little light, and that light is what often attracts Death Moths. Apartment doors are where Lurkers, Smilers and Frowners are found, although if the door is closed there is a chance of finding a passive Faceling who may offer to stay inside for a while, but other times Lurkers and Smilers are found. The cellars are empty and no cellar door can be opened and cannot be broken, although sometimes Figures will be found. It is also possible to see Figures walking the streets.

Many of the buildings and houses are duplicated throughout the level, although sometimes there are other buildings and houses, and sometimes you can see buildings under construction. Sometimes, although very small, you will find parks with a sink in the center. Around the sink, specifically in the corners, you will find wooden benches. The squares have trees and grass where it is safe to walk and sit. Some wanderers have said they have seen the house where they lived before they came to The Backrooms, although these houses cannot be entered and nothing can be broken. Playground Centipedes sometimes appears in these parks.

On 9/21/1994, at 9:26 a.m. a wanderer who chose to remain anonymous decided to share a discovery of a new level in the Backrooms database. Minutes later, the Major Explorer Group noticed the message:

Level θ - Subzone β Discovery.png

Scientists and Guards of the Major Explorer Group decided to go to that part of the level, a group of 5 scientists and 8 guards went to look for the entrance to the level. In total it took them 13 days to find the blocked station, but when they did it, they all noclip at the entrance, reaching a new level. The scientists and guards decided to settle down somewhere safe and create a temporary Outpost on the level until they are sure to publish the information found. The anonymous user was found alive and was placed in care until they left the level.

It is estimated that in a few days the level information will be published on its respective page. So far, it was confirmed that the new level is a zone of Level 3009, but not a zone to be called as Sublevel, since they belong to the same level and therefore the same zone, the zone was named as "Subzone β", while the other part of Level 3009 was named "Subzone α".

Author's Notice: Hello, dear wanderer. I am here to warn you that some of the information on this level is incomplete or not confirmed. Before creating this, I thought to add the Beta Subzone as a sublevel or another level, but the Explorer Group says that it is rather another zone in the level... Well, I start to believe them anyway. If you have found something on the level or have been able to confirm/disconfirm something, you have the right to edit the information.

Description

Subzone α

The Subzone α consists of a street with lampposts and sidewalk trees measuring 4.7 meters and a sidewalk measuring 4.1 meters, the entire street measuring 8.8.

Many of the buildings and houses are duplicated throughout the zone, although sometimes there are other buildings and houses, and sometimes you can see buildings under construction. Some wanderers have said they have seen the house where they lived before they came to The Backrooms, although these houses cannot be entered and nothing can be broken. Playground Centipedes sometimes appears in these parks.

Noclipping at an abandoned subway station entrance will take you to Subzone β. We recommend that you have a flashlight, first aid kit, firearms and melee weapons. A pistol will suffice as a firearm, and a knife or razor would be fine as a melee weapon.

Subzone β

An image of Subzone β taken by a wanderer. The wanderer is safe and sound in an outpost of Subzone β.

The Subzone looks like a subway station, probably abandoned or little used due to the dirt in the place. The Subzone has zones such as corridors, waiting room and stores, the most common to find being the corridors and the least common to find being the waiting rooms. The stores are always clean and in good condition and contain supplies, where you can grab anything you want as there are no vendors, although outposts usually take these stores and do not let anyone in, as the stores are scarce. Waiting rooms are also taken by colonies and outposts as they are also scarce and safe.

Entities such as Hounds and Figures appear in the corridors, and Clumps can suddenly emerge from the vents. Low-aged Facelings can be found, although it is not known where their parents/adult Facelings are, it is theorized that they are in an isolated place. Hounds often appear near waiting rooms for some unknown reason. There is talk that there are five Partygoers near the stores zones, but this is not confirmed and there is no proof of this, but the rumor has spread through the level wanderers.

A buzzing sound can be heard in the corridors, even if there is no light or any object present, the reason for this is unknown, also as sometimes sounds of subway trains are heard, but no subway train has been seen. One outpost who is located in a waiting room has confirmed seeing a train passing by. You can also get diseases from the dirt in the corridors, and it is normal to see poisonous spiders in the corridors.

The Subway Men's base is called "Metro", and they have signs indicating where they are near the base.

Level 4194 is the 4195st level of the Backrooms.

Description

A drawing of Level 4194 found in a house, author unknown.

Level 4194 consists of a desolate mountain, the weather is cloudy and the time is speculated to be around eight o'clock in the evening. Sometimes you can find desolate huts in the middle of nowhere, and some wanderers have found small abandoned villages, taking them as outposts. There are entities in the level, but they are hidden in dark areas and are weak, they seem to fear the wanderers, although that does not prevent them from trying to attack.

Level entities are almost always hidden in dark places and are weak for some reason. Sometimes they are seen outside, and those are the ones most likely to attack, but other times they can run away from the entity. The reason why the entities behave that way is unknown, but it is better that way. Lightlurkers on the level are present and are the only entities that are always hostile and not afraid of wanderers no matter what. Disappearances of wanderers in the level have also been reported, believed to be due to Lightlurkers, but nothing has been confirmed so far.

On the level, you will be able to enter the cabins, and they only contain a bed, carpet, closet and an axe, while the houses have tables, clocks, a sofa and the other things mentioned above that are in the cabins. At the entrances of the cabins and houses, at the entrance there is a carpet that says "REST IN PEACE". The forests are where most of the Lightlurkers are, so it is not recommended to go to the forests without protection or company, although the only exits of the level are located there.

Forest Rangers

  • Newly discovered outpost, 23 known members.
  • They are friendly towards wanderers and accept trades.
  • They are not as strong but they are strong and intelligent enough to defend themselves from Lightlurkers and other entities in the forests.
  • The "Forest Rangers" was created by a lumberjack who wanted to help wanderers after the forest level, from there people started to join and more people. They settled somewhere in the forest and made huts with the materials they found, they have routes to get to the outskirts of the forest and help wanderers.

The 4194 Outpost

  • Newly discovered outpost, 31 known members.
  • They are friendly towards wanderers and accept trades.
  • They are not strong, they usually expect friendly people so they are not always armed, although they do have equipment to protect themselves from entities.
  • The outpost was created by someone with almost no knowledge of The Backrooms who ended up in the level, I created it trying to live a semi-quiet life on the outskirts of the level's forest.

Entrances and Exits
