My tale
Hello. I am ToriusO9, or my real name is just Torius. I am a backrooms expert, leader of team D.O.G, and have discovered over 100 levels, few entities and objects. It has been almost 12 years since I last saw my family.. My mother, father, brother, and kids. I have come so close to escaping but yet my luck is unbearable. Maybe you'll still see entries from me in another 12 years. I haven't aged a single second ever since I left the real world, so I may still look like I'm only 34 years old, though I should be 46. Anyways, if your looking for my life story and tale, then look below.
The beginning:
Twelve years ago, I was just getting settled into my new house. Having just moved out and leaving college after 10 years, It was tough. I already had a 2 year old son and a 3 year old daughter, with a 32 year old wife. My parents were both 65 years old. After moving out, I can remember going to work at the office I was assigned by my manager. He was overall nice. That day, as I left work, I can remember feel a tingling needle effect pinning on my skin. As soon as I realized what it was, my journey began. I blinked, and I was all of the sudden in Level 0.
The Backrooms; first times:
I had never thought I would be seeing what was in front of me. The first level of the backrooms. I was shocked, and overall, scared and confused. My compass was moving all over the place, so I didn't have a good sense of direction. I was lucky enough even to find a little bit of old almond water dripping from a cracked ceiling tile. I put my hand underneath and grabbed a few drops, and put them in my empty water bottle. Then, I drifted off.
The next day, I drank all the water I have saved up, and started moving away from the point in which I thought I had no-clipped through. I didn't do much on this day, and I cannot remember anything from this day either.
On the next day, I found a door. It was about to be my fourth day. I figured it was just going to lead to a separate room of Level 0, but instead, the door disappeared behind me, and I entered Level 1. Things got worse from there. Here, I found my first entity, a hound. The lights also started to flicker. When I dozed off, I remember having a dream that encouraged me to continue. Then, when I woke up, I found my self in Level 2.
Things started to get dangerous and extremely risky here. Here, I found a door with confetti under the door. I regret entering it to this day. As soon as I entered, a mob of partygoers jumped me. I took a run for it, and saw another traveler being carried by one partygoer. His arms were deforming, which terrified me. He eventually looked like one of them! I was freaked, so I booked it. Once I ran out of breath, I found a clear door with an electrical symbol on it. At first, I thought it was an electrical company trapped down here as well or another person used a door for their base. When I entered, I entered Level 3.
The Backrooms; Level 3 ->
Level 3 was very hostile towards me. I saw 2 smilers, 1 anethika, 2 hounds, and 5 facelings. These things terrified me. It was very difficult getting to sleep in there. I felt discouraged to continue, and stayed huddled in a tight corner for about a day in Level 3. When I finally got up, dizzy and tired, I found an elevator. I was so sleep deprived that I hadn't even realized that there was a smiler behind me! I ran into the elevator having no other way to go, and entered Level 4.
Level 4 was very useful, in my opinion. It was not jam packed full of entities like Level 2 and Level 3. I was able to sleep normally, and found useful supplies in the empty offices. This was when I discovered my first bottle of Almond Water. I drank it up in a hurry, having not drank water in the last 3-4 days. I had completely lost my sense of time. I read some books found throughout bookshelves in the offices. One of them was helpful, and told me not to go towards the windows that aren't blocked off. I'm thankful I had read that, or I would have went straight into one! I was craving the outside world. I used some vending machines in the halls of Level 4 and stocked up on some food and water. I also bought a bottle of coffee to keep my caffeine-energy running. When I felt the need to, I decided to venture deeper into what I thought of as a "basement" that had resources. It turned out that this was my 1-way ticket to Level 5.
As soon as I reached the bottom of the stairs, a colorful carpet decorated the flooring. At the end of the tunnel in front of me was a pile of water and food. My head thought "Free food and water! Free food and water!" My luck had second thoughts. As soon as I stepped on the carpet, my feet tingled and the next thing I know, I am in Level 5.
Level 5 was soothing, but at the same time, very creepy. With no company, being out alone in a big hotel, even being very modern, colorful, and lit, was very scary. I always had a slight feeling of their being an evil presence behind me, but every time I turned around, there was nothing. The thought of continuing hit me. "Should I really go this far into this infinite alley of rooms and hallways?" my brain thought. I was getting to piped up. I starting dashing towards the first door I saw, about a day later. Once I entered it, I saw a boiler room. The wall that was supposed to separate 1 million miles was not there. I kept walking, and started hearing whispers and voices telling me to turn back. I didn't listen. I never listened to my parents as a child, so I guess this was The Backrooms way of revenge. As soon as a day had past of continuous walking, I was sleepy and exhausted and fell asleep. I woke up in Level 6.
Level 6 was very dark. Even the flashlight I had gathered from Level 4 didn't create a lot of light down there. As soon as I entered Level 6, my head began aching. I thought I was dying. "This is the end of Torius.." my brain stated. Every few minutes I would see someone standing at a distance from me staring. It looked blood red, but I couldn't really tell. One time in Level 6, I attempted to begin a conversation with one. It went seriously wrong. The thing slashed my leg and ran off. I felt pain, but no scars or cuts were on it. I soon figured out that these were Insanities. The door at the end of one of the tunnels in Level 6, being the first door I had seen in days, delighted me. I had ran to it and the next thing I know, water floods in and I get pushed into the door. I then find my self in Level 7 moments later.
Level 7 was dark, similarly to Level 6... It was also damp.. very damp. I found my flashlight able to work again and turned it on, though I covered my hands with my shirt as to not possible be electrocuted by the electronic dipped in water. I was in.. a house. It was very liminal, despite being so much furniture. The house also had many flooded rooms, and oddly placed exits or entrances. As I swam up, thinking that the only way out now is likely to be that way, I saw the top of the water. When I got ontop of one of the houses, it was just... an ocean. I knew that even being stranded in the middle of the ocean on an unguarded island was definitely better than being stuck in the Backrooms. So with my hopes, I began swimming. I left my fears on the island, determined to atleast swim a mile before drowning. Death by drowning would be a better way to go out rather than death by unknown monster attack. But suddenly, I felt myself falling into the water. I began swimming up, as if trying to get back to the surface, but I just got dragged deeper. Looking down, I saw the entrance to Level 8. When I had checked my bag to get my flashlight, so I can explore this newfound level, I realised that I had dropped in in the starting house. Though too late, I swam back up as hard as I could. The resistance became to much however, as my arms couldn't hold any longer as I began sinking into the cave of Level 8. In my mind, I read "Without light, I'm soon to be without life.." However, I was soon to find a miracle in the level.
Level 8 was deep and in a cave full of creepy crawlies, more specifically, spiders. For the time being, I HATED spiders. They were my worst fear, right behind agoraphobia. However, before I decided to walk a direction and hope I would either find the exit or die, I ran into somebody. TheAllPowerfulBread was also in this level. He was more experienced than me, though also been stuck in this level (which was what he had told me at the time, though I do not know if he was telling the truth.) Luckily for me, they had a flashlight and was able to defend against the spiders. We stayed near eachother at all times to insure our safety and didn't split up, at all. After being stuck in Level 8 for about a week, we became really close friends, though they were my best friend at the time for being the only person I have encountered in around 20 to 30 days. We lost eachother at a point, though it was technically to be blamed for the backrooms itself. I had noclipped through and into Level 9, which would not prove good as neither of us knew anything else about eachother. This meant that we were lost. We did find eachother once again in Level 188.
