Nelson's Column An image of Level 1952. The pictured tower resembles Nelson's Column.

Level 1952 is the 1953rd level of the Backrooms.

Description

Level 1952 resembles the city of London during the early reign of Queen Elizabeth II. The foggy nature of the level has been compared to the 1952 Great Smog of London, an event which caused the death of up to twelve thousand (12,000) civilians. The nature of Level 1952 is very similar to this; many wanderers can expect certain harm if they remain in the level without finding shelter due to the fog that encompasses Level 1952. Not only does this fog obstruct vision, it also causes bodily harm on anyone who inhales it; thus, wanderers who find themselves on Level 1952 cannot stay outside for an estimated one-hundred and fifty (150) minutes before the likelihood of death is realized.

Nevertheless, Level 1952 remains a surprisingly inhabited level; colonies and outposts have been established here, and one is very likely to find others inhabiting the city. Level 1952 does seem to be a complete recreation of London, including places such as Buckingham Palace; the aforementioned residence serves as the head of the largest colony in Level 1952, the Kingdom of London.

Precipitation in Level 1952, similar to its Frontrooms counterpart, is not rare. It seems to be relatively normal; no abnormal affects from precipitation in this level have been recorded. Food and supplies are able to be found in the buildings of Level 1952; as is Frontrooms London, the level seems to be relatively self reliant, so long as it is inhabited. It is similar to Level 11 in that it can be used as a long term home; nevertheless, one must avoid constant exposure to the fog.

The fog, similar to the events of the Great Smog of London, is able to harm immune compromised or weak people even indoors; usually, the solution for this is proper nutrition and a larger space to stay in.
