Level 8.1 is a sublevel of the Backrooms in Level 8.

Description

An image of Level 8.1 taken by an unknown Wanderer.

Level 8.1 resembles the caves from Level 8 and they have similar characteristics, but they are infested with cobwebs everywhere that they can be from very small to colossal. This level is not only extreamly difficult to navigate, but extreamly dangerous and risky due to the high population of not only Entity 39 and Nguitr'xurhs, but new and more species of spiders and also the multiple types of spider webs which can be harmful and dangerous.

Cobwebs

The different types of cobwebs that one may encounter while hovering around Level 8.1 are as follows:

Normal Cobwebs

These cobwebs are mostly made by Entity 39 and Nguitr'xurhs, but they can also be made by Centipede Spiders, Hydra Spiders and White Spiders; they are usually infested with them. These are the ones mostly encountered and crossed in Level 8.1.

Black Cobwebs

These cobwebs have a 25 to 35% chance of being encountered with some areas filled with them. These webs are made by the Ant Spider or Vampire Spider and are usually infested by them. These are weaker than normal ones and one can pass through them more easily. However, they are stickier and more toxic if one digests them. Vampire Spider cobwebs contain a toxic red liquid inside that is similar to blood and can burn the stomach when digested.

White Glowing Cobwebs

These cobwebs have a 10 to 25% chance of being encountered with some areas filled with them. These webs are made by Almond Spiders. These webs contain drinkable almond water and very rarely, super almond water in their interiors, but are almost as sticky and hard as those of the Queen Spider. It is advisable to carry artillery strong enough to break them and get the almond water inside.

Blue Glowing Cobwebs

These cobwebs have a 5 to 30% chance of being encountered with some areas filled with them. These webs are made by Blue Scorpion Spiders. Upon contact with these webs, they can cause third-degree burns, skin inflammation and extreme pain and itching, and inject lethal toxins that can kill a person within 20 to 30 minutes. So if you see these spider webs, DO NOT TRUST THEM OR COME CLOSE TO TOUCHING THEM and go another direction or turn around.

Green Glowing Cobwebs

These cobwebs have a 5 to 25% chance of being encountered with some areas filled with them. These webs are made by Green Caterpillar Spiders. These cobwebs are highly sticky and toxic on contact and emit a highly toxic gas from a highly toxic, acidic green liquid inside. When a person comes in contact with one, it will trap the person in the style of a carnivorous plant, releasing all of its highly toxic and acidic gases and liquids into the person, disintegrating and cooking them alive, so if you see these webs, DON'T EVEN THINK OF COMING CLOSE TO OR TOUCHING THEM, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES AND LEAVE.

Red Glowing Cobwebs

These cobwebs have a 5 to 15% chance of being encountered with some areas filled with them. These webs are made by Electric Devil Spiders. These webs are extremely sticky and can cause electrocution to death on Wanderers if they contact with them. These webs vary according to the age of the Electric Devil Spiders. If the spider is young, the more voltage its web have, if it is older, the less voltage its web will have, but its voltage changes with age are minimal, which means that it will still be able to kill Wanderers by electrocuting them on contact. These webs should also be avoided at all costs because they can electrocute a Wanderer to death when they come in contact with them.

Pink Glowing Cobwebs

These cobwebs have a 5 to 10% chance of being encountered with some areas filled with them. These webs are made by Butterfly Spiders. These cobwebs have a strong attractive flowery smell, but don't be fooled. They are extremely sticky and release an extremely toxic gas with the aforementioned odor that can kill a person within a minute. Upon contact with these webs, they will cause instant death, instant injection of the liquid that produces the aforementioned gas, extremely excruciating pain and 4th degree burns. Almond water is not affected by this gas and is highly recommended to treat this gas poisoning before it is too late, so if you smell a strong flowery odor luring you towards bright pink cobwebs, ignore it, escape and get away as soon as possible and constantly drink almond water to treat the gas poisoning before it is too late.

Neon Cobwebs

These cobwebs have a 5 to 20% chance of being encountered with some areas filled with them. These webs are made by Neon Spiders. The most notable and important difference between blue glowing cobwebs and neon cobwebs is that neon cobwebs can change color slightly. These webs can be itchy if contacted and are less sticky than normal webs and contain neon water inside.

Glitched Cobwebs

These cobwebs have a 1% chance of being encountered with some areas filled with them. These webs are made by Coded Spiders. These webs can censor any attempt to photograph or videotape them, similar to the effects present in Level 12. These webs are white in color like normal webs, but have a 3D glitched appearance similar to how they look in Level 404. These webs have a 20% chance of reverting back to normal webs upon contact, and have a 90% chance of teleporting one to Level 404 when contacted. If one is lucky enough not to be teleported to the previously mentioned levels by coming into contact with these webs, they will experience a permanent effect similar to what happened to E. Isle after returning from Level 404.
