Entity Number: 65

Habitat(s): Majority

Description

Snatchers are creatures with short legs and very long arms. They might be different colors, like brown or beige, but the most common color is pitch black. Snatchers don't have any body, but instead, they only have a head at the center which the arms and legs are attached to. They are able to contract and extend their arms into and out of their head. They don't have any facial features at all, and it seems that they are blind, but have an incredible sense of hearing. It is unknown how they can hear so well as they have no visible ears. Since they are blind, they often use their long arms to guide them when walking in enclosed spaces. They walk with their legs, but when they hear something, they run towards the source with their arms. They don't have to use their arms to guide them when they run because they only run when they hear something, and they will be able to tell where the walls are from the sound. It is unkown how they do this, but it is assumed that they can figure it out from the sound waves bouncing off the walls.

Behaviors

Snatchers usually just wander around levels aimlessly until they hear something notable. They don't seem to have to eat or drink anything. When they hear something, they will run towards the source and grab whatever is making the sound and crush it if possible.

If you know there's a Snatcher nearby, you should try to make as little noise as possible, as hearing is their only way of knowing where you are. If a Snatcher hears you, you need to run and try to make as many turns as possible when in enclosed levels since when they reach a wall it seems to confuse them a bit since they can't see. You shouldn't stop running until you're certain they lost you.

Biology

Snatchers' skin are made out of leather, and they could be different colors. These colors are black, dark blue, gray, brown, biege, and white, although they are more commonly darker colors. They seem to be very strong at their arms, especially at the tips, but weak everywhere else.
