Description
The Weapon Master’s business card
Super Weapons are rare and powerful weapons that Wanderers can craft by finding Weapon Blueprints of a Super Weapon. Super Weapons are made by combining two objects together with Gold Tape. Super Weapons are often very powerful and thus, wielding one greatly increases a Wanderer’s chances of survival against hostile entities, wanderers and other threats. Each Super Weapon is unique in it’s strengths, qualities and drawbacks.
Weapon Blueprints can be found in many, many levels all throughout the Backrooms in random and seemingly intentionally placed areas where wanderers can find them and the ingredients needed to create that Super Weapon are usually close by, again seemingly intentionally so. Some levels have more Blueprints then others and those resembling cities and urban areas and/or containing a high population of hostile entities especially have a high quantity of them.
It is currently unknown where these blueprints truly come from and who or what is making them and placing them all over the Backrooms for wanderers to find. However, it is believed that an Entity or Wanderer by the name of “Weapon Master” is responsible due to a business card titled “Weapon Master” being found in close proximity to blueprints and each blueprint having a symbol of a gear identical to the one on the business card on the top left corner.
Some of the Blueprints for especially powerful Super Weapons tend to be harder to find or more difficult to get to, some of them even being guarded by strong, hostile Entities. By far the rarest are the blueprints for Ultimate weapons, which are especially powerful, upgraded versions of pre-existing Super Weapons. Ultimate weapon blueprints take a gold coloration rather then blue.
Occasionally, Level 6.3 will have Blurprints or even pre-made Super Weapons for trade but these are often pricey and require items of equal or greater value for trade, they will however accept other Blueprints and Super Weapons in exchange.
There are hundreds of known Super Weapons and they are all categorized into ten unique Types according to their weapon type and defining attributes, most commonly ones possessing elemental qualities. The known types of Super Weapon are as follows.
- Acid
- Fire
- Electrical
- Ice
- Water
- Wind
- Energy
- Explosive
- Ranged (ranged weapons with no elemental qualities)
- Melee (melee weapons with no elemental qualities)
- Support
- Ultimate
Properties
The process of crafting Super Weapons is not yet fully understood and even those who have crafted them have difficulties in putting it into exact words on how the process works. All Super Weapons, even the seemingly simple looking ones can only be crafted by finding it’s blueprint and combining the two most crucial ingredients with Gold Tape.
The creation and functions of many Super Weapons often defy the laws of physics such as the Strike Launcher, which uses bowling balls for ammunition and can launch a seemingly unlimited quantity despite only needing one bowling ball for it’s creation. How a weapon with such complex functions and anomalous properties can be created by mostly haphazardly duct taping two items together is partly due to the effects of Gold Tape as well as the loose laws of physics and logic the anomalous semi-reality of the Backrooms follows.
Despite the typically improvised, cobbled together appearance of Super Weapons, they are much more durable then regular weaponry and don’t seem to malfunction or wear down from extended periods of use, Ranged weapons never seem to run out of ammunition and bladed ones don’t need to be honed or resharpened, thanks to the refining abilities of Gold Tape. However, they are not indestructible as each Super Weapon has a limited amount of durability and can break after extended use and they can only be repaired with Gold Tape, regular tape or tools will not work. A strong enough Entity can also destroy one’s Super Weapons if they get their hands on them.
Once a wanderer has used a Blueprint to construct a Super Weapon, the blueprint’s schematics will instantly “download” into the mind of that wanderer, allowing them to remember the entirety of the blueprint’s instructions by heart, this comes in handy if a Super Weapon breaks or becomes lost or stolen as the wanderer will always have a perfect mental blueprint to build it again if they have the proper ingredients to do so. Due to this, it’s been a tradition for wanderers to leave behind blueprints after using it or relocating them to easier to find places for other wanderers to find them.
Some Super Weapons possess unique, anomalous qualities depending on the weapon in question that are often beneficial to wanderers such as the Medical Spear which heals the user every time they land a hit on an enemy or the Flamethrower which deals more damage to Insanities than any other entity.
Super Weapons can be enhanced by the use of Charms (see Level 6.2 for more info).

Notes
- It’s been observed that blueprints taken by wanderers will be replaced by an exact copy in the same location some time later. This is most likely done by the Weapon Master.
- Although hundreds of Super Weapons and the locations of their blueprints have been identified, the true number of how many there really are is still unknown and new ones are still being discovered frequently.
- Although possessing vastly superior weaponry, many M.E.G. soldiers lament not being allowed to use Super Weapons as many consider them to be “more fun”.
- M.E.G. researchers are currently trying to identify the enigmatic Weapon Master and possibly contact them.
- There exists a “Super Weapon Catalogue” that can be found on certain levels and will occasionally be for sale in Level 6.3. Weapons cannot be ordered from this catalogue as it acts more like a guide on Super Weapons, giving detailed descriptions on their function and attributes, strategies and even vague hints on where the Blueprint can be found.
