Weapons

Weapons are objects that can Wanderers can pick up and use to defend themselves against hostile entities and improve their chances of survival within the Backrooms.

Overview

A weapon is defined as any item that can effectively be used in self defense and effective weaponry can be found essentially anywhere within the Backrooms, often within reach and even plentiful in certain levels. Weapons are a key element in defending oneself from hostile entities and other threats within the Backrooms and you’ll NOT want to be found by an entity empty handed. Some weapons are harder to come by than others and some are so rare that they can only be found on certain levels.

Some weapons are ”drops” from Wanderers who have previously used them and these previously used weapons often contain the “Memories” of their previous users that will transfer into the current user, allowing them to instantly know how to use and handle that weapon based on the memories of the previous user. These “Memory Enhanced” weapons are created when the user of a weapon has met a terrible fate and are very valuable due to their properties.

One of, if not the most plentiful sources of weapons within the Backrooms is Level 6.3 which “sells” a wide variety of every known weapon that can be found within the Backrooms, even some of the rarer and more powerful examples of weaponry can be found here on occasion. Acquiring weapons from Level 6.3 is done through trading and the value or quantity of the item that is required for trade depends on the weapon for question, a simple handgun for example won’t need much for trade. Level 6.3 is also where wanderers can find more powerful and complex weaponry much easily such as swords, grenade launchers and RPGs.

Weapons in the Backrooms are noticeably stronger and more durable and than their Frontrooms counterparts. Even the more “unorthodox” weapons like a toilet plunger makes for a more effective weapons then one would think.

All Weapons can be enhanced via the use of Charms (see Level 6.2 for more info).

Types of Weapons

Weapons take many forms and every weapon can be identified into six distinct categories, being Bladed (knives, swords etc.), Blunt (bats and clubs), Explosives (such as hand grenades), Ranged (such as firearms), Throwing (such as shurikan) and Special (typically rare weapons of highly unique functions, origins and traits).
