Encounter table of things that can happen inside of Divot Town:
1-10: Literally nothing
10-12: Roll on the Wild Magic table for a random point in town
12-13 The town is attacked by a purple wyrm
14: A spellcaster is sent to Sanctuary for a short time
15-17: Loud roaring is heard
17-20: A stampede of large animals goes near the town
If the players ask around, they can find a few pieces of information:
- Anyone who dies in this place is ressurected as if through the Reincarnation spell 333 days later in the fields.
- Since nobody can die or leave, a large number of people are trapped here.
- The main objective is finding a way to either permanently die or escape for those who live in this level
- Time is strange, and moving through areas also moves you through time.
- Every 24 years, night falls and the area becomes far more dangerous for the next 24 years
- There is a curse on this entire area that causes humans to be extremely hostile towards one another which must be overcome
- There are several deities that rule over the level
- If a deity becomes angered, they will create a massive wave of fire that sweeps through the area, killing everything in it's path.
- The level's pseudo-government currently is the Urian Republic, however they stick to themselves in their underground caves.
- In the Fields, the occasional town and burrow in the ground is the best shelter
- Eventually, the Fields end. Adventurers may wish to journey to the Sea, as it is believed that the secret of the gods is at the bottom of it.
