I better not hear a ”Sex Tonight” joke from anyone. We get it. The level number is 629, but this does not give you any excuse to act like an immature idiot.
Failure to comply will result in excruciating torture for approximately 629 minutes. We might tape your mouth, cut your tongue off, and other gruesome things. Most won’t leave the torture room alive.
Do you understand?
Answer me, damnit.
Level 629 is the 630th level of the Backrooms.

Description
Level 629 looks like your home. Don’t be fooled. You’re still in the Backrooms.
It’s a direct replica of your home, with everything in the home in the same place it was before you entered the Backrooms. Any other inhabitants of your home appear in this level, but as Facelings. They look like, act like, and imitate the people you live with, but under no circumstances should you trust them. They have the exact same personality and appearance, but unbeknownst to you, they'll find some excuse to bring you outside of your home. Whether it’s by inviting you to play tennis at the park, accidentally setting off the fire alarm, or asking you to take out the trash, your “friends and family” love you dearly but will find any attempt to get you to go outside. They will respect your boundaries if you refuse, but they’ll always find some other excuse.
However, an unknown voice rings inside your head: “Do not go outside.” I suggest you listen to it.
Your “relatives” can go outside without any harm, but unfortunately, you cannot.
The Outside World
It is always foggy in Level 629. That’s just how it is. Unknown entities lie in wait for you to make the fatal mistake of exiting your home. When that happens, they will devour you, and you will cease to exist.
These entities will never enter your home, but peaceful Facelings resembling people who would normally visit your house in The Frontrooms may occasionally ask to enter, such as the pizza delivery guy, a visiting relative, or a plumber.
Life Inside the Home
Everything happens as it normally would in your real house. You’re just forced to stay indoors.
Unfortunately, there are no satellite signals; radios, televisions, and internet refuse to work here. However, the Facelings acting as the people you live with will ignore this fact. They can be seen looking at black TV screens, pretending a sports game is going on; having earbuds in, jamming to music when nothing is playing; and browsing websites, despite the computer screen being entirely black.
Life is less than ideal here. You’re still “expected” to show up at school or work, and the people you live with may reprimand you for always staying indoors. Do NOT give in; stay indoors at all costs and attempt to find exit to the level. It’ll save your life.
Colonies and Outposts
The level design is truly unique to every individual; the colonies that exist in the level will depend on where you live.
Entrances and Exits
Entrances
- Dreaming about going back home while falling asleep in any level may put you here instead. You may be fooled at first, believing that the entire experience in the Backrooms was all just a dream.
Remember this: There is no escape. The sooner you realize this, the higher your chances of survival.
Exits
- Noclip underground. You'll be thrown back into Level 0.
