Level Σ是介于两个楼层之间的过渡区域(原文transferring place in two Levels)。在 Level 0的特定区域,你会离开Level 0后进入Level Σ,一个看上去很像Level 0但是会逐渐褪变成Level 1的地方。然后在某个时刻,当它看上去足够像Level -1时,你将会离开Level Σ然后进入 Level 1。Level Σ完全没有那么危险,除非你在前往这里转化的楼层之后又回来了。 The only way you could do this is by leaving the door that leads to the next level open, walking into the next level momentarily, and then going back into level sigma. What would happen is that when the door closes and you've re-entered Level-Sigma, as soon as you blink, the entire environment around you will change. You will now be in a room that looks extremely similar to the image shown.

This is Level-Sigma on it's own. Escape from here is basically impossible, as you'd likely die of hunger or thirst (if you're unlucky), chlorine poisoning or old age before escaping. Level-Sigma on it's own is an unknown amount of wide rooms with wooden walls, dark brown carpets, and fluorescent lights which smell somewhat of bleach - and with most of the time no furniture except cleaning supplies. In some ways, it looks like Level-Sigma is "under renovation", with all it's cleaning supplies and paint buckets. Like I said, most of the rooms have no furniture, and are all variations on the room in that picture with changes in size and width and how narrow they get, but never height. Level-Sigma has, as far as I've documented, no beings, and no bases. You are left to endlessly wander each room looking for something. Now, rarely, and I mean rarely, some rooms will be filled 3 or 4 round tables with chairs around those tables, and a desk on one of the walls on the room which has a coffee machine, creamer, sugar, a water jug dispenser and some chocolates on it. Take advantage of this while you can, this room is one of your only safe havens. Get as much coffee as you can into bottles or gallon jugs if you have any, and take all the chocolates. You depend on this coffee for your survival, and it doesn't matter if the coffee gets cold. Make sure to stash the chocolates somewhere in your bag where they'll be safe, like a pocket on the side for example, or a small pocket in the front. Just nowhere warm or they'll melt. As for the water, make sure to fill some bottles and gallons up with that too, as you'll also need to survive on it. The only other room that's a safe haven are the rooms which have bathrooms. These bathrooms will be relatively well kept, but the smell of bleach will be much stronger in these bathrooms so you'll need to get in, do your business and get out while you can. These bathrooms are extremely long narrow halls with a toilet at the end and some toilet paper, and that's it, with the same carpet and walls as the other rooms. There's not even a door at the end of the hall to protect your privacy. The bathroom and the "break room" as I call it are your only 2 save haven points - now, about escaping. Escaping is only possible through 2 ways - wandering far enough into Level-Sigma that the "exit door" as it's called shows up, or a glitch in the backrooms where you can either get teleported to Level-Zeta (god help you if you do) or Level-Omega (the good option). I myself wandered far enough into Level-Sigma to reach the "exit door", but it took me a long, long, long time. You have no idea how much that did to my sanity, being stuck in Level-Sigma for 67 years, avoiding all the possibilities it gave me to just gamble and exit by glitch. Oh and by glitch, you're likely to escape within 24 years, as that was when I saw my first glitch. So still a longggg time. But endlessly wandering, with no hope or anything, it takes a toll on you. You're left with your own thoughts intruding on you constantly, every horrible thing you've ever done to come to the surface. But when that exit door comes, it's like liberation from it all. The exit door will come in one room and one room only - you have to notice it. If you enter the next room and go back in, the exit door will be gone. The exit door will be a wooden door with a metal, clean handle, with a green exit sign above it. There will be false exit doors throughout your journey with red signs, that just lead back to the beginning, extending your stay. When you open this door, 2 things may happen. You will either go back to the real world as you know it, specifically through the way you entered the backrooms, with your aging back to how you were and everything, or you will go to the one of the deepest levels of the backrooms, known as the "final" level sometimes, with your age reset back to how it was when you entered Level-Sigma, where you either die trying to get out or successfully get out.
