Description

Level 5678 is a jungle of unknown size, containing different trees ranging from coconut to banana trees. With theories suggesting that you will find a end to this jungle after walking 8000 km in any direction. Every 10 kilometer you can usually see a broken jeep (Jeep type is Rubicon). Most of those jeeps are empty but may contain almond water if lucky (20-30 percent chance). Caves can be found randomly usually containing lumps of iron, copper and the rarest of all gold ores but lots of hostile entities reside there. Rivers, lakes and mountains (very rare only 4 discovered) can also be seen with the biggest of all mountains called Mount Valmor. Backroom Toadstools are found in very rare clumps throughout the never ending forest. Sounds of birds chirping and monkeys laughing can be usually heard but no monkeys and/or birds resides within Level 5678. You can expect rain every few days (2-5 days) and temperature usually a good low 20 C (68 F).

Temples resides in the jungle, only 5 have been discovered and all containing human skeletons of different kind, the size of the 5 Aztec temples vary with some being as big as a small mansion and others which are as small as an average house. Most temple traps have been disabled by other unlucky adventurers. All 5 temples have treasures of gold, other gems and lots of almond water. It is one of the more resource filled levels because of seemingly infinite source of wood and 20 kg worth of gold only from the temples.

Groups settle here knowing how many entities reside here but blinded by the riches residing in this level. All temples seems to worship a god that looks like a mix with a head of a tiger and a body of a man. And 1 of them (the biggest one of all) worship The Cat. It is unknown why they worship it and if there is any connection with The Cat but discoveries await. Level 5678 have a 24 hour day and night cycle similar to the Frontrooms. An outpost is also found full of ghost and ghouls who seems friendly. The outpost is 33 miles away from spawn point and welcomes intruder. M.E.G was about to join the others but The First sense great danger right before The Forest war, But after the Forest war a greater danger approaches claims The First.

After multiple colonies that reside here test with the tree sap it turns out that mixed with melted mushrooms, the tree sap and tons of almond water you can make 30 cm3 of Royal Rations. Ingredients include: 50 pounds of melted mushrooms, 10 litres of tree sap and 65 litres of almond water can make a Royal Ration subsitute with the difference being only providing nutreints to last an hour, however the addictive properties and design looks to be no different. After this discovery The Federation of Three Flags joined and soon after The Backroom Explorers after behind the seens arguments. After the Forest War the latest Outpost was from [D.R.B] Outpost Red Wood after learning that one way to exit is by going to Level 444 not many outpost like their tactic of starting a wildfire but they're staying.

The Forest War

The forest war was a large scale war that lasted for a couple of weeks that involves all four colonies and one unknown colony, although not internationally (meaning that no one outside of the level had the war) it cause the death of hundreds of entities and an extinction of a colony! The war started when the last and biggest temple was discovered (The Cat temple), After disabling all traps (either by testing or just sacrificing prisoners or entities) They found a new type of ore now called the magic ore, magic ore was magic, literally magic, as it can bend like rubber, resistant to heat like steel and seemingly unbreakable properties,

it also doesn't rust, dissolve, freeze or even melt but alas there was only 6 magic ores found throughout the biggest temple. The war started when all the colonies there argued on who should take the magic ore, the insurgency stole all of it, it is unclear how the war starts with the Backroom Colonist, The Federation of Three Flags and The Backroom Explorers vs The Insurgency becomes an 1 vs 1 vs 1 vs 1 (basically a free for all) , but it is speculated that the magic ore influence and expand humanities hatred, greed and desperation for war. An unknown colony was quickly defeated in the start of the war, With all records and trace of the colony burned in a unknown fire.

The war was mostly fought in temples and one of the colony (unknown on which colony did it) used entities and released them to the enemy causing devastating casualties for both the enemy and the entities used for the forest war. A cult group took all 6 magic ore from the colonist (how is still unknown), 5 of the magic ore was then thrown into one of the volcanoes in level 9669 but before throwing the final one, legend says that the ore floated away. Leaving only one magic ore which was cut up (unknown who did it) using unknown tools into 8 different pieces and scattered throughout the levels of The Backroom, one piece is found at Level 0 but the rest of the 7 pieces are still missing to this day. The war however stopped when everyone realized that all the magic ores are gone, Humans from all outpost cheer with glee after the war stopped and one of the humans nicknamed Crazy Mike started a wildfire and thats when another exit was discovered (look into Exit nunmber 2) and they didn't do another war to this day.

Entities

Level 5678 are usually inhabited by Jerry's, Death Ostriches, Hellraptor, Death Moths and Giant Spiders. Death moths, Death ostriches and Hellraptor only can be seen at night and seemingly disappear at morning. The rest can be seen at both night and morning. In caves you can see normal bears (the only thing different is that the bears are 2 times more powerful and wild than a normal bear), smilers and hounds. Fishes can be found in lakes and river and bears also sometimes travel there from caves catching fish and just showering. For no particular reason, Televisions have been seen to reside in the temples.

Finally a boss entity resides here called the Moth Man! He forms from thousands of different moths that comes out of nowhere and only form at a blood moon (chance of a blood moon happening instead of a full moon is 10 %) He disappears at the end of a blood moon. Blood moons has increased chance for Death Moths and Giant spiders to spawn. Ghosts and ghouls that inhabit an outpost can be found there, and are deemed to be the only entity that isn't hostile, besides the Televisions that reside in the temples. The ghosts and ghouls that haunt this outpost claim to be stuck in a dome with a radius of 1 mile within the outpost, The ghostly undead also hates other entities and becomes extremely agitated if it seen any entities near or inside the outpost. They also hate The Insurgency, no one really knows why. There are also hostile Faceling's which carries a Hunting Rifle, this faceling is called "Hunter", the hunter will appear at the morning and afternoon but will not be visible at night. Hunters usually plant traps from beartraps to net traps at sundown. A few scouts claims to find sheds that the hunter lives in (not proven yet), Hunters will use his hunting rifle to shoot anything that moves excluding their species. But by far the most dangerous entity by far is "The Virus".

Virus

The entity is a slimy, gooby, greenish substance, that spreads through trees. "The Virus" strech to infect the next nearest tree every 2 to 5 minutes. It's main method of infecting is by sucking nutrients of the tree, very similiar to a mushroom except with a much faster rate of suckage. "The Virus" favourite food is trees, but will eat anything near it, by stretching towards its victim, It willl eat both humans and other entities alike sucking them dry like vampires. Do not touch the virus as touching, if you do however touch "The Virus", it is going to suck as much nutrients as possible while touching it. "The Virus" can birth new viruses spreading it far and wide. Infected trees will not grow and have weaker and softer wood. Viruses can mutate into three different types ):

  1. Enchanced Virus (Sucks nutrient faster, Spread Faster, Stronger, etc) Makes up 40 % of the all known Viruses
  2. Normal Virus Makes up 55% of all known Viruses
  3. Spitter Virus (It can spit out globs of itself into its victim and pulls it in like a harpoon) Makes up 5% of the known Viruses

Different viruses works in unison, There may be a queen commanding all the other viruses. "The Virus" makes up 45% of explored territories. All mutated Viruses looks the same so as a safety precaution do not go near to any one of them as the spitter is very good at luring just about any entities.Viruses are only exclusive to levels that are full of trees (at least 90%) so they will not go extinct fast. The Virus is also somehow connected with the Farooms, creating a heavily distorted version of the level, and a very dark version by noclipping in an infected tree you can go to the Farooms.

Recorded Logs

Log Name: # Log 1

Date: [REDACTED]

Event: "The Discovery of Level 5678"

Information: A Backroom Colonist member whilst playing next to Level Primal's lake got dragged down to the lake, the creature that dragged the agent is still unknown to this day (suspicion to be the unknown lake monster residing there to be the one who dragged the guard), whatever the creature it dragged the agent at lightning speed down to the lake and whatever happened he seems to had drown before the creature has eaten him.

Agent: HELLO, HELLO ANYONE THERE!

B.C: We read you, what the hell happened down there?

Agent: It seems that I'm in another level. It looks like Level Primal, but without the reptillian dinosaurs. Where the hell am I!

B.C: Ok, calm down, take deep breaths, what happened before you were transported to this said level.

Agent: I saw something, something big, kinda dark underwater, I was waved like a sock and then, my head hurts (groaning), I think I drowned.

B.C: Very interesting, we will test said transportation to this unknown level just in case it isn't true.

Agent: Just get me out of here (groaning), I have a bad feeling of this level.

B.C: Before we send in more men, can you please describe the level in more detail?

Agent: Of course, it seems that I'm in a jungle.

B.C: ok, can you identify the trees

Agent: It seems that the trees are bananas, apple, oranges, even durian.

B.C: Interesting, can you describe anything else?

Agent: I think I see a- a jeep?

B.C: Ok, what does the jeep contain.

Agent: let me get a closer look (Loud groaning) (Rustling) (footsteps) Almond water, seats , and the jeep looks broken, not like it crashed, more like its not been used a while.

B.C: Ok, Guards are on the way. Just try to not die.

Agent: Oh thank god I thought (flapping noises) The hell, wait a minute, oh no is that what I think it is, A JERRY!

B.C: HELLO, HELLO!

Agent: OH MY G--- *Line Disconnected*

End Log

Information: The agent was never seen again presumed to have been taken by a Jerry. The guards soon came to Level 5678 and then killed multiple hostile entities residing within this level and took over creating the first Outpost.

Entrances and Exits

Entrances

  • The most practical way, in Level Primal drown in the lake where the unknown Water Monster lives in to be transported to Level 5678.
  • Get a leaf from the Crimson forest and a leaf from Level Primal and chant "Aztec Temple Hostile Babel" 3 times on the leaves and you will be transported to Level 5678.
  • Snap a Vietnamese rifle 3 times in Level 1075 to be teleported to Level 5678.
  • There is only one case of this ever happening with only myths and rumor's as proof of it even ever happening, [REDACTED] claims that he/she is transported to Level 5678 by a transporter. There is no proof of this scenario ever happening so take number 4 with a grain of salt.
  • If you sacrifice a Hound to Sagoloth, Gurgen, Clapling, Plurp and/or Schiki you will be teleported to Level 5678.
  • Noclipping through a Lone Nipa Hut in the Southern Tagalog Area in Level 628

Exits

  • The safest way to get out is by drowning in a pool of almond water (only works on this level) will teleport you to Level Primal.
  • Starting a wildfire would teleport you to Level 444 (but I wouldn't recommend going there) and will not allow he/she to go back to Level 5678 ever again.
  • Swearing or desiccating to one of the holy statue (Any one of the tiger head and human body statues and/or The Cat statue) will transport you Level Dust (not as dangerous as level 444 but still not recommended).
  • By noclipping an infected tree you will be transported to the Farooms and the Farooms version of Level 5678, more info about other Level 5678 at Faroom.

Survival Tips

Do's

  1. Do join other peoples outpost (You can't just survive alone right?)
  2. Do make friends with the Ghost Outpost (you hate entities they hate entities might as well be friends)
  3. Do be careful (some of the hostile entities that live here are small and cunning so watch out)
  4. Explore the world (Almond water and rivers galore, this level is beautiful just remember no 3)
  5. Finally Do make traps and such near your camp if your alone (you obviously know why as the more dangerous entities come out at night and no 5 is not important if you get accepted in a outpost)

Don'ts

  1. Do not, under any circumstances, go out at night (if your doing no 4 in To Do's then set camp and make sure to also do no 5 in To do's)
  2. Do not join or go near The Insurgency (Firstly they will shoot you which is already bad and secondly the others wont accept you because no one wants a wounded (shot) person)
  3. Do not trash the temples (you do not want to be in Level Dust)
  4. Do not kill people (well unless they tried to kill you)
  5. Do not start a wildfire most important (The ghost will hate you, all the outpost will hate you, the level will hate you, and teleport you to Level 444, and I don't think level 444 is a nursery)
  6. Do not under any circumstances get near any kind of virus unless you want to slowly and painfully die
