Derelicta is not a level, nor a theory. It is a story. It is connected to the Impresario Hypothesis. It is the truth of the Impresario Hypothesis. Do note that the entire Derelicta story is narrated in first person.

目錄
1st Entry
February 26th, 1883. Modern Level Zero.
In the Frontrooms, I always loved to wander and explore.
Authority intrigued me. I almost always obeyed it.
...
In the Frontrooms I was alone. But here, that will change.
2nd Entry
February 26th, 1883. Modern Level 0
I am going to make a group.
A curious explorer group, with people from colonies all around the Backrooms.
A government for the Backrooms, so that new wanderers can be safe.
It's strange. Here, there are nations, states, and dictatorships. Evil and good. There is no lack
of humanity.
This place isn't so different, is it?
3rd Entry
I was right. I've ventured around for what's been... what, two years now? I suppose that makes it 1885. March of 1885. I've met various groups around the Backrooms. I've seen Rome almost 500 years after the fall of Constantinople. I've seen a colony living in a house, peacefully. But greatest of all, of all these republics, of all these kingdoms that I have found, I've decided on a group of leaders. These Back-rooms and their stories are unorganized, but I believe that I can change that. There are people here that never knew the outside world, and yet still, with all the humanity here, we have not organized these stories. This must be done. Why else would I be collecting leaders? We as people must unite here. In these Backrooms, there is evident humanity, and thus, evident unity. So we must explore, not on a small scale, but on a major scale -- and as a group.
The Major Explorer Group..? That name fits quite well. Very well.
Formation
It's currently June of 1885. I journeyed up the levels of the Backrooms to get to Level 1009, in which I've succeeded. The weather here is quite nice, and overall the House here is beautiful. My goal is to speak to the leader of this colony, of whom I don't know the name. However, I do hope I succeed, because this colony could do great for the Major Explorer Group. They have a near infinite supply of.. what is it called, Almond Water? Strange how that is the sustenance in this dimension... thing. Wish me luck, whoever may one day find this journal.
Meeting
I'm currently being brought to the leader of the Graces who I trust will agree to this brilliant plan of mine. This house has such a great view from the third story -- where his office is. I suggest we're about 20 meters up.
It's been sixty minutes, and I've been told I'm able to meet with the Leader of the Graces. His name is Andrew, and he doesn't know what I'm here for. I do hope he agrees to this topic.
NOTICE:
The following conversation of this page is not written by _____, the First. They are simple logs collected by the Level 1009 Representative Colony, the Graces.
Andrew: So, why did you request to speak to me? I am but the leader of a humble colony.
The First: Have you ever seen the front-rooms?
Andrew: Well, now that I consider it...
the viewer of this meeting noted a 3.6 second pause,
Andrew: I haven't. That does not answer my question, however.
The First: You may be now, the leader of a mere colony, but I believe that can be changed.
Andrew: How are you here to recruit me for wrongdoing, yet the weather stays friendly?
The First: Because I am not. I am suggesting a group of explorers, a government for the Backrooms, and after considering the level and your colony, I believe that Level 1009's colony will be of great help in forming this.
Andrew: Of all the colonies, you chose the Graces? Why, may I ask?
The First: You are all I am looking for. You are human. You have a form of government seemingly native to the Frontrooms. You want to savor peace yet you also have human nature.
five seconds of silence
The First: It is your choice.
another four second pause
Andrew: Will my colony have to leave our Level? And what will this group be called?
The First: No. And our group will be called... the Major Explorer Group.
Andrew: Very well. I accept your offer.
4th Entry
So, I've succeeded in recruiting the Graces for the Group. Now, I need to return to the near beginning of the Backrooms. To Level 27. According to my sources (Who are always correct,) there is a sub-level in-between 27 and 28. In it exists the Novus Imperii Romani de Reversusquerooms.
If I can get to the, in shorter terms, Roman Empire, and somehow manage to meet with the Emperor, then the nation may be the strongest representative for the Major Explorer Group.
Arrival
I've successfully travelled to Level 27.23 with a bit of help from others -- they agree with my plan and desire to help. This place is all that I'd expect of Rome... It is exactly like the Mediterranean in temperature and weather. The architecture is similar to that I've seen in paintings of Ancient Rome itself. I am currently in Roman attire myself, for I was suited with a suite in a Roman villa near the Royal Palace. I am sitting at a bench in a plaza as of now, and I believe that powerful people know of my plan. I can only hope that I am met with the Emperor, Magnus VII, and am able to tell him of my plan.
Rome
I must say, I am convinced I am living a life similar to that of an ancient Roman. There are no public executions or anything of the sort, but there are bathhouses, and there are homes just like that of upper-class ancient Romans.
The Emperor
I was taken to the Emperor from the Plaza, with heavy security around me. I must say, I am surprised about the ease of me meeting the Emperor. I suppose he agrees with my idea -- or atleast someone high up does. He wants to meet with me in his office, where I am walking as of now. I will report in you, dear diary, after the meeting.
NOTICE FROM THE NOVUS IMPERII ROMANI DE REVERSUSQUEROOMS:
Due to there being no technology capable of recording The First's conversation with our late and beloved Magnus VII, a minister of His Late Majesty was called to record the meeting. The New Roman Empire must clarify that the following conversation is not written by The First.
Novus Imperii Romani de Reversusquerooms must also clarify that the following conversation was spoken in Latin. It is a translation.
God save the Emperor!
HM Magnus VII: What is so important that you must speak to I to settle it?
The First: I am proposing a group of colonies, each with a representative.
The First: The Major Explorer Group, a form of government for the Backrooms.
HM Magnus VII: Are you suggesting that I am your representative for the Roman Empire?
The First: Very observant. Yes, I am suggesting such -- and I know that with you, the Graces, and the other 6 I do wish to visit, the Group will last long and become very powerful.
HM Magnus VII: I need not to hear more. I accept this offer.
The First: What? Why?
HM Magnus VII: If the Graces agreed to it, then it must be good.
5th Entry
I haven't reported in quite a while. It is currently 1892. I have spent many years in the Backrooms, and to great avail. I've recruited the Graces, the Cashew Empire, the New Roman Empire, the Farlequn Empire, and I trust that I'll continue to do great... but for now, may the Major Explorer Group live for ages and ages. We've opened multiple outposts, and we even have a headquarters. The Graces and the New Roman Empire have decided that their position as leaders -- what we've now agreed on calling them is impresarios -- will be hereditary, since they're monarchies. The others have so far agreed that their positions as Impresarios will be elected.
With this immense amount of success, I have not much fear; nevertheless, I do retain some that this... this ability, it will fade. I hope not.
